I would love to stay within again!

Tranquil garden oasis within the heart of Ubud

Our 4th time staying at Murni’s Houses & Spa! We absolutely love it! A tranquil garden oasis within the bustle of Ubud. The staff are so lovely and make us feel at home. Kids love the pool after long day of exploring. The attached spa is incredible and Murni’s Warung delivered delicious, authentic lunch and/or dinner to us daily, all beautifully plated like we’re at the restaurant (no takeaway plastic box!). The whole experience of staying at Murni’s House & Spa keeps us returning. Highly recommend!

Cozy and quiet hotel if you need to stay close to Ubud Central

The hotel is in a lovely location, very close to Ubud Central yet quiet. I particularly liked a good, relaxing sleep. The pool is sometimes overlooked but it is lovely set up and provides nice experience.

We stayed in a king room which is probably king in terms of the bed but not that large as a whole, unexpected. The hotel management is very attentive... very... a bit more than I would typically expect.

Exceptional!

Thanks for a fantastic stay. No complaints at all. We travelled with our 7 month old baby and everyone at Murni’s made our stay extremely easy and comfortable. The location was ideal, just far enough from the centre that it felt quiet and relaxed but still easy walking distance. The grounds are absolutely lovely. The pool is delightful. We were also able to order food from Murni’s Warung (one of the best restaurants we ate at in Ubud, and extremely good value), which was delivered to the hotel in <20 mins. They were also able to cater some baby-friendly items. Murni’s was exceptional.

A special house with a lot of history.

Very good location with beautiful garden. You feel like being taken back 50 years. The pool is very nice addition.

The appartment is quite dark. This is a matter of preferences but I think that a mix of modern with some ancient elements would be more appealing for guest.

Excellent location, beautiful grounds, warm and inviting.

Loved the warm and inviting atmosphere as Murni was there to greet us. Loved the grounds, plants etc, and the massages were amazing. Great value for money. I would definitely stay here again.

The only thing missing was a bidet in the toilets. If we're meant to put toilet paper in the bins, then we need a bidet.

Idyllic peaceful hotel in the Centre of Ubud - perfect for exploring and visiting Ubud

Loved that this hotel was so central in Ubud yet still felt very peaceful and tranquil. The staff were all very helpful and I loved the Balinese style of the rooms and hotel. Ubud itself is very busy and hectic and so Murni's felt like a quiet haven away from it all. I also had a 90 min massage in the Spa which was one of the best I've had in a long time.

I would prefer a pool in the sun but otherwise it was all fantastic. Nothing else to complain about.

Very convenient, well located and very friendly place to stay.

We really enjoyed how close the property is to the centre of Ubud. Being able to order delicious food from Murni’s restaurant and have it delivered straight to the hotel was a great convenience. Breakfast was tasty and well-priced. A highlight of our stay was meeting Murni herself — a lovely lady full of fascinating stories, who showed such kindness to our two children by giving them thoughtful gifts. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we would highly recommend it to all travellers, whether solo, couples, or families.

Have larger containers of fresh water in the rooms. We had two relatively small bottles that we had to keep asking to be refilled.They

Lovely gardens, great location

Lovely property, beautiful gardens. Quirky. Very close to the sights- easy walk to the ridge walk, Ubud palace etc. We booked without breakfast, we did go to their restaurant one night (on a different site and that was excellent).

We never asked but weren’t told where the pool was.

Forest heaven made with love

Absolutely everything! The little touches, the love and warmth and attention to details. The black labrador ‘Plo’ if I get his name right, I will miss him everyday, he made our stay even better. What a place, what a vibe, I wish I didn’t have to leave. Will be back one day :)

Perfect Stay

Murni’s house is within walking distance to all the touristy sights and restaurants .We stayed in the 2 bedded flat which each room is beautifully decorated with good views of greenery. Comfortable and clean rooms. All the staffs are friendly , welcoming and helpful . We ordered breakfast the night before and it was brought up from murni’s warung . We also ate at Murni’s restaurant which is a must if you are visiting Ubud - delicious food. We also did a tour and they introduced us to Wayan Sudiastawa - he drove us to the tourist sights which was further from Ubud - very highly recommended.

Spacious apartments set in lush gardens, right in central Ubud

Private apartments set in amazing gardens right next to central Ubud. Fountains everywhere help dampen the noise, and my kids loved playing with the friendly dog (they did check that we were okay with the dog being there, before they let the dog out). We didn't have breakfast included but ate there anyway. Food was fresh and tasty and reasonably priced. It's a short walk to the palace and art market (easy to walk home after the evening dance shows), or to the Blanco museum in the other direction. It is up a narrow lane up a hill, but drivers are able to park and turn around up the top. We had no issues getting gojek cars to/from the door. The spa and pool looked nice but we didn't try them out. Next time....

You need to order breakfast the night before (this is tricky for one of my children who has a hard time making decisions). There is no restaurant on site, they bring food up from Murni's Warung down the road (we also ate there a few times, they have tasty food and drinks and a lovely setting by the river). We also didn't realise that toast needed to be ordered separate to eggs (if you're ordering just eggs and not the 'big breakfast'). There are a lot of steps on the premises. This wasn't an issue for us but may be for those with limited mobility.

Decent stay

No breakfast but the location is decent although a little uphill. The property itself is very beautiful and peaceful. Very close to the market. The pool was slightly heated and very pleasant.

The 2BHK villa was a little dark and on 1st level. Not many vegetarian breakfast options.

It was our best accommodation by far in Bali! The staff was really nice and helpful. The room was clean and well equipped. The breakfast is nice! They don't have a kitchen in the hotel, but it was possible to order food to the dining area from their close-by restaurant for a reasonable price and it was very delicious.

such a lovely tranquil place away from the hectic streets of ubud .

the spa was amazing we had facials full body massage body scrub bath with petals in it, we felt like princesses .reflexology was fantastic.I fell asleep . 😂 always finished the treatments with fresh fruit and tea . breakfast was lovely fresh fruit and eggs bacon toast or omelette and on our last day we was leaving at 6.30 the lovely friendly staff got up early to make us breakfast sandwiches and fresh fruit to take with us . loved there doggie too . 10/10

Good

Murni is located very close to ubud market. Murnis Warung serves excellent Indonesian cuisine, and the staff is extremely friendly Heated pool

It is a short steep walk from the ubud market road. We found this inconvenient if we wanted to step out to the market for food with a bunch of tired kids Small inconveniences like no raised platform to keep our suitcases, placement of dressing mirrors etc.
