Weird smelly room

Nice quiet location in the rice fields

It all started before our arrival, it was problematic to change the date even though I paid for the partly refundable room. They accepted it on the second time me trying to change it but they weren’t nice about it and offered me to cancel all the booking. We also rented a scooter and we made agreement for a two full days and less than a half day. The owner asked for an another full day pay even though they brought the scooter at 6PM, we were uncomfortable and had to bargain the way out of that situation. The rooms were cleaned every day but it wasn’t a deep clean… Our room had a very unpleasant smell which bothered me by the end of our stay. It might have been the mould but I’m really not sure. Walls are very thin and you can hear everything that your neighbors are even talking so if you’re a light sleeper then I don’t recommend staying there.

Beautiful stay on the outskirts of Ubud.

Wow! This place was exceptional. We loved the quiet, peaceful location (once you figured out how to get there it was easy!). Staff brilliant. Breakfast very good. Pool wonderful. We were fortunate to be able to upgrade from the budget room to the bungalows and it was definitely worth it. Only 4 units - so very quiet. Watching the wildlife across the fields in the morning whilst we ate breakfast was a great way to start the day. We did so many day trips from here - to Munduk, Batur…perfect base.

Lush find!

I came for 2 nights then extended for another 5 (7 total) I absolutely loved it here! The staff were so lovely and helpful. Walking distance to the raw temple, pyramids of chi, unified school of healing plus many other places or can get a scooter. Food also delivered here if need. The pool was lovely and great to chill by. The surrounding rice fields are gorgeous.

Would be nice to have some vegan options for breakfast other than fruit 😀

Great relaxing retreat

Absolutely loved my stay! The villas and staff were super lovely, and the location was so peaceful! Breakfast was brought to the balcony every morning (preorder the night before) and had plenty of options (pancakes, noodles, scrambled eggs, omelets etc. with a plate of fruit and fruit juice). The pool was nice and had sun loungers and a swinging chair. The room was spacious, had a mosquito net, a mini fridge, and good aircon. Loved the semi-outdoors style en-suite bath and shower. No need to bring bottled water as they have big water dispensers in each room. Location - for me it was great and I don’t understand why other people complained in the reviews… It was SO peaceful, no noise, right in the middle of big tranquil rice fields, we loved being able to just fully relax and disconnect! Yes, it’s further from the centre but we got Grab Cars everyday for 45K IDR (only €2.50…) even cheaper if you go by motorbike. There are also quite a few decent restaurants (and even a spa) within 10-15 minutes walking distance if you don’t want to go to the centre. It really wasn’t an issue. The path to the villa is also fine to walk with a suitcase (we did it no issues..) so take with a pinch of salt what the moaners are saying! Overall great value for money, relaxed so much! If you want more action then maybe stay in the centre.

A little oasis tucked away in nature but close to the hustle and bustle. safe, spacious and calm.

Everything has exceeded my expectations, the property is a little oasis of calm. The balcony is spacious and looks over nature, the bath tub is perfect (hot water is ACTUALLY hot 😅) room is beautifully designed and comfortable. I just wish i could stay for longer. Also shout out to the staff every member of the team is so kind and caring.

Very nice luxurious place away from it all, but near everything

Pitoresque picture. Away from the beaten track yet luxurious. And 5 minutes with the scooter of warungs and shops, maybe 10 minutes from Ubud market.

It’s on a narrow “road” only accessible with scooter not by car. I think that is no problem, but you have to know. What is a problem: there are no signs, so very hard to find: that’s a tip for th owner!

Beautiful location, in the middle of rice fields and away from the buzz of Ubud. Lovely room, well decorated and comfortable, as a single wooden bangalô.

Everything was lovely, but maybe the breakfast could improve just a little bit. Nothing that affected our stay.

Beautiful quiet rooms on edge of Ubud.

Beautiful rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Lovely pool. Great semi rural location on edge of town. Saw a gorgeous pair of Javan Kingfishers in the rice paddies. Lovely and quiet. Decent breakfast.

The accommodation is up a steep path. The hotel sent a scooter down to pick up bags but our early checkout meant that we had to carry cases back down to the road. Also, someone from the villa cancelled the official taxi driver for his mate and so we had a driver with practically no English who needed GPS to take us on our tour. We wouldn't have minded except that we got confused over who we were messaging and confirmed our ferry transfer with both drivers. We still liked Catfish Adi though. Very enterprising.

The best stay in Ubud

The place is an absolute retreat. The staff was extremely helpful and we really enjoyed our stay. Dede & Ngurah made sure our stay was comfortable and went out of their way to help. The place is located in in the rice fields and you cannot reach it exactly by car. But the staff will carry your luggage and bring you up on the motorbike. The rooms are traditional balinese style and the pool is amazing.

Treat yourself like a queen or a king, we all deserve it (for this price it's even easier ahah)

The LOCATION was peaceful and I could reach a place of my interest (school of unified healing) just walking through the rice field. The STAFF is really kind and helpful, they made me feel at home but also lots of privacy. I like to be on my own and read or just be and it was really safe there:) The POOL is a paradise, clean and beautiful. A good way to start your day. The ACCOMMODATION is great, colorful and comfortable. I also had two kimonos to use :) The PRICE was out of my budget but for European standards it's really cheap actually and you also have breakfast that you choose from a menu. Anyway I gifted this stay to myself and I'm so happy I did it. I felt recharged energetically and I had all the beauty and comfort you can think of.

Tranquil oasis amidst the rice fields, highly recommended!

The tranquility oasis in the rice fields by the river. The location was all we wanted, tucked away from the busy streets of Ubud. No construction around was definitely a +. Only 3 bungalows, which guarantees privacy. We wanted to be close to The Pyramids of Chi which was a beautiful walk through the rice fields away. The staff were always lovely, hospitable and catered to all our needs. Our house was always clean, and tidy. There are cute 3 cats that live on the property that loved hanging around with us :). The pool is big enough to do laps, and there’s a lovely area for chilling with a book. We spent 8N at Galang Hari Villa and are looking forward to return someday soon. Definitely recommend!

Great value for money sanctuary right in the heart of scenic rice patty fields!

The staff was great, breakfast was always on time, but we would have enjoyed a little more variety in our breakfast menu. The view was spectacular, the cats were great to have. Be sure to get some cat food from the local Indomart or Alfa market. It's an amazing location, if you're looking for a quiet place to switch off and relax, away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud.

We didn't enjoy the ramp and narrow trail path to the hotel. Without a motorbike, it would have been challenging.

The villas are really lovely and cute. Each one is fairly private. It is surrounded and beautiful nature. The pool is large and clean. There are deck chairs around and a swing.

You can only get to the property by scooter or walking.

The location is excellent, far enough to avoid noise pollution, but close enough to easily scooter/taxi to main attractions in Ubud.

Ants and bugs are everywhere outside and a few made it inside, but not particularly the property's fault, just comes with the location.

I loved it here!! The landscape with the rice fields around Galang Hari Villa is amazing. You wake up and fall asleep with sounds of nature. I have been to several 5 star hotels in Indonesia but this beats them all with its location, the outside bathroom, the view and the service. There is nothing missing.

Lovely peaceful Villa at a reasonable price

The villa was lovely and the bathroom exceptional. Very comfortable bed and the unlimited drinking water was a bonus. The staff were very attentive. The garden and the Pool are very nice. There are great cafes and restaurants in walking distance.

The location is a little further out from Ubud central but we knew that and we like to walk everywhere, but the road was closed due to landslides and we were told by locals that it was not safe to walk that road so we had to get a car in each time. Obviously it's not the properties fault but just be aware during the wetter times of year.

I booked for 5 nights and left after 2. I wanted to go another hotel.

I liked the landscape of the rice fields. Some of the staff are very nice as well.

I ended up leaving after two nights even though I originally booked for 5 nights and this was non-refundable. This villa was not for me. The hotel needs to invest in basic upgrades. Everything appears well worn out. The broken shower floor, dingy/stained towels and bed sheets, holes in the mosquito net, bats in the roof, broken blinds so you can't open them without tying them with a string. Not to mention the location is quite far. All of my Grab drivers complained about how far this place is from Ubud. Plus the walking distance from the main road to the villa is quite far and up a steep hill. I would expect a villa in this remote location to offer more amenities. I thought I could stick it out for 5 nights but I was on vacation and really wanted to be in a nice villa.

Exceptional

The bungalows are not in the center of Ubud but in the middle of rice fields so it’s secluded which is very appreciable and there is like 3 bungalows + 1 room so it’s not crowded. Staff is amazing, nice breakfast, amazing place to stay. We highly recommend few days there.
