If you’re wanting somewhere within walking distance to everything you need but experience culture too, look no further!

The property was a great location within Ubud centre. The owners were so kind and accommodating. It was really special to be staying there with the family temple on the property as well, soaking up the culture. The breakfast was super filling and really tasty.

The only things I didn’t enjoy were outside of the property’s control. So I will only say that if you decide to stay here, bring earplugs as there were dogs barking in the night, and roosters doing their morning calls on and off throughout the morning from quite early.

A wonderful place and family to stay with in Ubud

This was my second time staying here, once 8 years ago. This time was wonderful again! Very clean, comfortable place to stay and Pastika and Kadek’s family are great hosts. Highly recommend!

What a gem! Beautiful object. We stayed in family room that had a separate spacious kitchen and a massive terrace. Beds were very comfortable. The owner and the lady of the house are amazing guests, we had breakfast on our balcony every morning, absolutely delicious! Also the owner is very informative and keen to help with organising time in Ubud.

Nothing, this felt like a lottery win, we got so much more that we could have hoped for!

A peaceful stay in the heart of Ubud

A lovely family-run business that feels incredibly peaceful and welcoming. Honestly, it felt like I was living with a local family. My room was spotless, with a comfortable bed and plenty of space. I had a cute balcony where I even had the chance to watch a local temple ceremony in the evening. The location is excellent. It is walkable to everywhere I wanted to go, with Ubud Center just 10 minutes away and plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Given these advantages, it offers amazing value for money. They prepared breakfast with great care each morning, simple, fresh and delicious. I had a busy 2 days and I really appreciate the comfort and relaxation you provided.

Not the best experience

Room was clean and well maintained but there was a constant smell of urine in the bathroom. The bed was comfy and the surrounding was very picturesque. Very central location with quick access to the laundry, money exchange, convenient shops and the main Ubud centre!

We booked as the room was advertised as three bed ie one king, one single and one sofa BED. Unfortunately there was no sofa bed. Owner mentioned that this was the fault of booking.com. He made it clear that this was not his fault and he would not apologise. And then he kept on pushing us to confirm that all was good as he didn’t want any problems. We felt very pressured as we didn’t have a choice but to stay put. This was poor service from his part. We requested early breakfast due to a tour. Even arriving at 7, we got breakfast at 7.20 which meant we had to eat really quickly in order to go to the tour at 7.30. We asked if we could use the toilet after check out. Answer- room has already been cleaned! No other options were given. Note, the room should have been ours upto 12. He cleaned the room at 10.30. We were so excited about this stay due to the high reviews. Our experience was disappointing. Note- the room is still advertised as sofa BED!

Amazing place and great surroundings, but a little noisy from temple and roosters

The staff was super friendly and the accommodation is so nicely designed. A real feelgood place. The rooms are also nice. They neither feel too empty nor too packed with stuff. Also the WiFi worked well. There are amazing restaurants, spas, cafés and a beautiful walk through rice fields.

The rooster crows from 5 AM to 7 PM. But that's normal in many areas of Bali. Also there is a temple right next door. That's amazing but every day from 6 PM to 9 PM they had some event and played traditional music for hours. Also there are 3 different types of breakfast I was served in 7 days. So it repeats quite fast.

Fantastic affordable accommodation in a great location provides a superb cultural experience

We stayed in the family room with terrace for 7 nights. Fantastic location, with important landmarks (like Ubud Palace, Art market, and Saraswati Temple/Water palace), top notch restaurants, massage, spa etc. within walking distance. Pura Puseh temple is located exactly opposite this building and hosts cultural dance night every week. Music rehearsals with traditional instruments late during some nights (in the opposite building) add to the Bali vibe (you can watch it from the terrace) but outside of this time, the location is quiet. Very friendly staff who live there with their family, beautiful pets and fish in a heritage style building. Will stay here again. Enjoyed eating delicious vegan (our request) breakfast every morning while watching the daily worship, rituals and cultural offerings conducted in the temple in the front yard.

At times, the late night music rehearsals can be annoying if you are a light sleeper but for us, it allowed us to learn the culture more.

Great experience in Ubud

Staying at Wina Ubud BnB was an absolute delight. Ketut, his wife, and their family were incredibly kind and welcoming. They truly made me feel at home. The place itself is beautiful, spotless, and thoughtfully maintained. The location is perfect: just a short walk from the center of Ubud, yet tucked away in a quiet spot where you can really relax and enjoy the calm. That mix of convenience and tranquility is hard to beat.

There’s a rooster nearby who likes to greet the day around 5:30–6:00 AM. But honestly, it’s no big deal. You drift right back to sleep in the silence that follows, and the rooster doesn’t bother you again. Just part of the charm of Bali 😄

Amazing!!

This property has you staying in a traditional Balinese compound. The residents of the compound are absolutely lovely and very knowledgeable. The location is within walking distance to the heart of ubud yet a little out of the way so more quiet. Overall it was an amazing experience. Highly recommend if you are travelling to experience the traditional culture of the Balinese.

Room was spacious, good for the family.

The bathroom door has no lock. The main locked door was opening without a key with just a simple push. Breakfast has very limited options only eggs and pancakes. It's difficult to eat the same breakfast everyday.

Met the expectation

The room was spacious, there was also a large kitchen, clean, the bedding was white and gave a good feeling, good beds.

My daughter was disturbed by the roosters crowing early in the morning. In the evening, a 3-day ceremony was taking place in the temple opposite the hotel, but we were able to fall asleep.

Amazing homestay

The room vas very clean, spacious and well maintained, absolutely nothing to complain about. The whole property is such an amazing and cozy place run by wonderful family. Many thanks for a hearty welcome! The place has very beautiful garden and home temple, you can spend hours just watching birds, fishes and plants, petting local doggies and admiring the traditional architecture. The quality of homestay is at the best possible level for the money you pay, with this price you even get super tasty and fulfilling breakfast with balinese coffee and the freshest fruits. The only thing is to be mentioned is that the property is located 10-15 min on foot from the city center which is not a problem at all if you drive a bike.

Great location, very good value for money

Location is terrific. It provides a unique experience of staying in a traditional Balinese house, with a family temple. Owner was wonderfully friendly and cooperative. He didn't say a word when we changed plans half way through and left early. The balcony was the highlight. Spending nights sitting outside enjoying the view was a great experience

Some minor upkeep- bathroom doorknob was loose. Water pressure is a problem though I understand this isn't something they can control.

Beautiful guesthouse in Ubud

Absolutely loved our stay at Wina! The family are all so lovely and the room and bed were very comfortable and cleaned regularly, towels refreshed etc. The breakfast each morning was so delicious, especially enjoyed sitting in the beautiful garden. Strong WIFI for online working. Very cute dog too (sometimes a little barking at night, but didn't disturb us much)! Otherwise nice and quiet back from the main road :)

This place is awesome! Great location, super friendly host and good breakfast! Room is well sized, bathroom is nothing too fancy but does its job! We found the water pressure to be ok, contrary to a couple of reviews mentioning they had problems with it. Everything was clean, everything worked! The garden is amazing and surprisingly quite for it’s location in Ubud. Highly recommended, especially for the price!

The bed was the squeakiest I have ever slept in. It was horrible. You cannot turn without it squeaking. I found it to be standard around the world, that the room service would turn off AC after they cleaned, nothing wrong with that. But if we come back and intentionally turn it on again cause it would otherwise be too hot, I do expect the room service to not come back in to turn it off again - which unfortunately happened here. No-go!
