very good in ubud

the family is so nice and welcoming. everyday breakfast, she brings hot water, etc to your balcony, and when you appear she will ask politely if you want breakfast now or later. banana pancake or scrambled eggs or omelett. I appeciated, that they clean the room, when you are out. no disturb and asking. the two sons are very helpful too. had some tours with wayan. view is nice, they have a new bigger room ready now, view to the jungle. it is quiet and peaceful. nearby cafes, restaurants and shops. also the temple where the firedance is done, you can go by foot.

Location is great, near city center. It's positive that the door is well isolated, we didn't have lizards in the room.

There was a construction and noise from 9 to 5 PM. We decided to take one more room directly there, but the bathroom was smelly. The breakfast was the same each day.

This place is amazing. The staff is super kind and the room was very clean. No mosqito or insects seen. For this price would 100% book it again. The owner even let us do late check out to leave the bags in the room on the last day. Amazing!

Lovely host and excellent location

Excellent location tucked away on a side street but close to the centre, never heard any noise from traffic. Serene and peaceful, it's also enjoyable to sit on the balcony which has a nice breeze, shade and overlooks a koi pond below. The room and bed is big, plenty of space. The host is a really lovely woman who has also offered to make breakfast outside the official breakfast hours. They clean rooms and the outdoor area every day.

Its a bit odd that they don't have soap. It says on the listing but I didn't pay attention to that as I have never stayed anywhere (budget, luxury etc) that didn't at least have soap for the hand basin. Its not a big deal, you can buy it at many shops close by, but it might be worthwhile for the owner to have a few small bottles on hand which guests can buy if they need to especially if they arrive late and the stores are closed. The first night I found my stay unpleasant because of another inconsiderate guest vaping outside non stop in the evening and morning. The rooms are supposed to be non smoking but the outdoor balcony area is shared and the only place to have breakfast as well. Not everyone wants to inhale the toxic chemicals of artificial fruit flavoured e-liquids. So you can't enjoy the outdoor area unless if you want to fill your lungs with this stuff when such people stay. Thankfully they left the next day and my stay was a lot more enjoyable from then on.

Very poor

The owner is a very nice fast responder. Helped me out with the questions I had for the new facility we were rebooked to.

Unfortunately, the owner realized that he had already booked someone in right after my card was charged. Even though I have made a reservation a very good while ago. There was no time to look for something else, so I asked the owner to kindly find a replacement that will completely match his own property. We were booked in to Masna House, this is my honest review of the room we stayed in. 1. It was very very dark during the daytime. 2. There was a lot of unnecessary furniture which does not help at all when you have two suitcases. 3. The breakfast is always the same. 4. And most importantly, the WiFi. We had to prove the owner that it is just not working inside the room. He thought we just didn't get the password right all the time and simply suggested going outside, where it will work better. His son was kind enough to change the password several times, then restart the router. However, it just didn't make any difference. Two WiFi connections and none work in the room. I wouldn't have minded working outside if the outside was comfy enough to sit at. It is not a place for work. If you have to do 8 hours of online work in a day, Masna House is absolutely not recommended. It was not a good substitute for the cost of Baba Homestay. I wish I did stay at Baba's and didn't have to write a long ugly review.

Everything was great. The family who run the homestay were extremely helpful and welcoming. Every morning a kettle, coffee, mugs and sugar would be put outside our room which was a nice touch. The location is brilliant, 5 minutes walk from the centre of Ubud and the road is very quiet away from the hussle and bussle. Room got cleaned every day and bed very comfortable.

A basic but pleasant and comfortable homestay a short walk from Ubud centre - great value for money!

I stayed in two rooms within a week and both were rather basic - a bed, a small wardrobe, a bedside table and a bathroom, but at the same time it was rather pleasant, and very clean throughout. Value for money seems unbeatable - I also stayed in accommodations some 3 times the price, and they weren't really any better. The hosts are very kind and helpful too, and it's possible to both rent a scooter (starting at 65k per day) and do laundry (20k per 1kg). It's about a 5-10min walk from the main Ubud street, which is just far enough for it to be nice and quiet, but not far enough to be a nuisance!

One of the rooms I stayed in didn't have hot water in the shower, and soap by the sink would be handy for those that have just arrived. The breakfast was also a bit basic and small, and my polite requests for slightly larger portions didn't do much.

Superb

Greeted with a warm welcome and shown to our room. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The room had a very large bed! We had a good night's sleep and woke to a delicious breakfast of banana pancakes and fruit. Excellent value for money. The location was 2 mins from the centre, making it super easy to get around. We requested a motorbike before we arrived and it was there ready and waiting. Excellent stay, thank you very much!

amazing place! We even canceled our stay somewhere else and came back here because we loved it so much. The beds are very comfortable, AC works well, and the staff are super friendly. Light breakfast is included and really good, they even bring it to a table right outside your room. Location is good, close to the palace. We highly recommend!

We loved how warm and kind the owner is and how well she takes care of her place. It is super clean and has very fast WiFi connection. Everyday we got a complimentary breakfast mostly fresh fruit with toast or pancakes and during the day the owner often brought us very delicious crisps made from cassava.

Posizione ottima, defilata rispetto alla strada principale, un' oasi di pace lontana dal traffico. Camera pulitissima dal design super accogliente, tradizionale ma moderno, biancheria di ottima qualità. Tutte le camere della struttura si trovano al piano superiore, sono ben disposte e per la prima volta dopo più di un mese in giro per Bali non ho trovato traccia di umidità. Abbiamo iniziato con 3 notti ed abbiamo esteso per altre 3. La famiglia di Baba homestay è gentilissima e sa quello che fa, anticipa i bisogni dell'ospite, effettua pulizia giornaliera e offre una colazione a scelta, semplice ma completa servita in veranda di fronte alla stanza (ogni stanza ha il suo tavolo). Sono estremamente soddisfatta!
