Manik House is an oasis of peace in Ubud.

This lovely, meticulously clean and sunny room in an Ubud family compound is a wonderful place to stay. When you step through the door of the family home, you enter a different world, into Bali family life. The room is up a few stairs, with an ensuite bathroom and an adjacent eating area. The room has a lovely view of the rooftops of Ubud. The hosts are welcoming, attentive and kind. If you want to be transported into a Balinese home while maintaining comfort and cleanliness, look no further.

There was an initial slight problem with turning on the a/c but this was quickly fixed.

Amazing

Without a doubt the best hotel I stayed in with my girlfriend in our 2 months in Indonesia, the people are amazing and so helpful I've never felt so welcomed into someone's home. The room is lovely and so worth the money. I couldn't genuinely recommend this place more, it's in the absolute perfect location. They even taught us about the culture and we are still yet to find anywhere close to as nice as this.

Lovely home stay.

It’s a budget hotel so set your expectations for that, staff were so lovely and remember your name / are so helpful and kind. Room was comfy, perfect location, good price.

Great Location Great Price.

The location is Excellent down the market street. There is a Kmart very close to the mall and the mall is a little bit off the the road but and it’s close to many restaurants. Walking around the distance to the Palace and Monkey Forrest. There is a small fridge to use. The lady owner lovely and helpful.

They advertise washing machine and kettle which they don’t have but we managed with the kitchen pan. There is also an Excellent Laundry Land 40mts. Which was really great.

personally i think the pillows are too soft for me. Stains on bathroom tiles. roasters did start making noise 6.30 every morning. But there's part of the local life, right? not a big issue to me.

Warm hospitality, just like living with a real Balinese family

The property is an extended room inside a family house compound. We were allowed to visit the family shrines. The hosts Nyoman and Kira were super nice and helpful. They drove us to see Kecak Dance which they personally recommended. They even offered to cook us dinner if we tell them in advance. They can offer driving tour services as well. There is a small convenience store in the house compound so we can buy water from there. This property only has 2 rooms and a shared kitchen enough for 4 people.

There is not daily cleaning service and no hairdryer.

Great location on the souvenir Street, however, the room is not noisy. Owners are friendly, always ready to help, moved our bed to another wall, as we asked (air conditioner had not so good position in the room honestly) wi fi was good.

Cats ate garbage on the kitchen and made it dirty fee times :) air conditioner is working properly, but its position was not ok

nice family, central location

such a delight to find an adaptor box with several USB ports ready to use. it allowed me to charge multiple devices at one go also, really nice touch having bed side reading lights.

Confortable and well located

Very spacious and clean room. Nice balcony area and the wifi work really well. We appreciated very much the open wardrobe which is perfect for clothes in very humid countries. The owner was very nice and has a lovely shop just next to the hotel full of wonderful clothing and souvenirs.

If I have to say something, the balcony door didn’t close very well.

A memorable trip to Bali all thanks to Manik house.

Manik house definitely made my trip to Bali so much more memorable as a solo traveler. Highly recommend for any fellow solo travelers or great for couples as well as their bedroom was spacious clean and lots of natural light. The family was super helpful and nice. 100/10

In the heart of Ubud market, Manik house was welcoming and very comfortable. The host went out of her way, she was friendly & kind. The room was large, the bed very comfortable. Anything you require to cook is provided for you.

The owners are really lovely and very approachable. They were pleased to help with any support I needed such as booking a taxi or making phone calls on my behalf. They have 2 guest rooms up stairs which are spacious and clean. The family all live below. They have their own temple in the court yard it is a wonderful cultural experience to stay here.

Beautiful room far exceeded my expectations. Location is ideal for walking about Ubud and seeing museums, rice terrace, main Ubud temple, and shopping. The owners are wonderful friendly people that welcomed me and took care of every need.

Quiet, comfortable bed, amazing family

Bed was really comfortable. Firm matrass which was nice for a change. Family is really nice and speaks English very well! You get free breakfast every morning with good amount of choice and they will gladly accomodate special wishes.

A bit too much chloride in the water one day, but I think this was a central problem and not the fault of Manik house

A perfect hideaway in the midst of Ubud chaos!

The location is great as it is nearby everything yet far away from noise and the traffic. The owners Nyoman and Kira are kind and hospitable. We always asked for hot water and they were happy to provide us with a thermos. The wifi is excellent and breakfast menu has variety. The bed is very comfortable and the room is spotless. It has a nice balcony and a large breakfast nook outside the room. After staying in the rice fields for 5 days and dealing with drivers this location was a welcome change as we could walk everywhere. The street is full of similar traditional Balinese style guest houses and the area is Ok for the app driven cars!

2部屋のみで間にミニキッチンのダイニングスペースがありました　友人と一部屋づつに宿泊したので共用部も2人のプライベートスペースとして使えました　食器も揃っていました　冷蔵庫も部屋の外のスペースに小さいですが1つづつありました　トイレが流れにくいトラブルもありましたが直ぐに対応して頂けました　エアコンも快適でした　皆さん親切でした　立地が良くメイン通りから近く　家の前もお土産が立ち並ぶ通りの中です　皆さんが良く口コミに書いているニワトリの鳴き声私はあまり気になりませんでした　次回もまた宿泊したいです!!

熱いお湯は出るのですがシャワーの調整が難しく　快適温度だと水量が少なかった　部屋の掃除は毎日ではありませんでした　　場所柄仕方ないですが　家の前迄車では行けません（早朝や夜中は可能です）

⚪︎階段が急で荷物の多い人子供連れは不向き ⚪︎9泊したがシーツ替えは一回も無かった　初めから枕の匂いがあった　請求してタオル交換を請求しないとそのままである ⚪︎部屋の隣の建物の5mも離れていないところの屋上のような所に鶏小屋があり朝早くから一日中鳴いているのにはびっくりした ⚪︎チェックアウトの時荷物を部屋から降ろすのは急な階段で怖いのでて降ろしてもらえるよう頼んでおいたが当日家人は誰も居なかった　ウブドが好きで毎年1ヶ月滞在している　今回は4施設に宿泊したが　この宿にはもう2度と泊まることはない ⚪︎キッチンが付いているということだったが自分で持っていかないと不揃いなものが少々だった ⚪︎朝食を頼んだら5万ルピア　レストランでも夕食が4万ルピアで食べられる
