The Village Guest House

The Village guesthouse is such a welcoming place, thanks to Yanik and komang who put a lot of effort in creating it with authenticity, beauty and natural simplicity. The breakfast is delicious including a bowl of fresh fruits, coffee or tea and a choice out of different options. The staff is very nice and always ready to help. I also enjoyed the pool, so nice in hot weather. The Village guesthouse is close to the Palace and the Market and at 15 minutes walk to the rice fields, but still quiet at night.

The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The room was lovely, the grounds beautiful and breakfast was nice!

Genuine hotel room with shared pool in balinese traditional village near centre Ubud. Comfortable room with nice attentive staff. Basic breakfast included is enough. Also rent scooters which is required to get around. Best shower pressure a big plus!

The billing and charges were haphazard. Girls that had booked the cooking class were asked to pay twice but that was sorted out at the time. HOWEVER I had paid for all our rooms in advance through booking.com. It was billed before arrival. I had booked all our accommodation through booking.com in several locations all with different payment arrangements. In my confusion at checkout and not being able to access internet at the office I could not check what payment was required. We were presented with incorrect billing. 6 rooms for 6 nights not 3 nights. After correction 3 ladies paid by credit card and received a receipt. 3 rooms were payed by cash but were not offered a receipt. We should not have been charged at all for anything other than water bottles and soft drinks consumed at the hotel as payment had been debited from my card before we arrived.
