Serene and beautiful

The walk into town is about 20mins, there are no lights so you need a torch if walking back late. In the day, it's a beautiful walk with views of the rice fields with warungs and coffee shops along the way but just something to bare in mind for the evenings

Personally, especially for the price, I would not book there again

The area is very beautiful and idyllic. There are a few small cafés and shops, and it’s nice for a leisurely walk. Short hikes through the rice fields are also easily possible from there. It feels as if the area was only built a few years ago (including the road). The staff is very friendly and attentive!

- Since three sides of the hut are made of glass, it gets very hot inside. Because the hut is also quite drafty and the heat comes in easily, the air conditioning only provides noticeable relief after several hours!!! - Accessibility should also be highlighted: the villas are located away from the main road, and reaching them requires a walk (with luggage) of about 500–800 meters. The adjacent road is beautiful but very narrow, and therefore not accessible by car. Arrival is only possible by scooter or on foot. - No trash bin in the hut. - Very little lighting, especially in the bathroom. - The pool has four loungers but no umbrella, and without any shade it becomes impossible to relax by the pool.

Incredibly wonderful!

This accommodation was exceptional. I was warmly welcomed, and every wish was fulfilled at any time. The service was outstanding, the place was extremely clean and quiet, and I even received free scooter rides wherever I needed to go. Since I stayed for a week, I was given a complimentary dinner, and breakfast was also included. I felt truly at home and was always greeted with warmth. I’m absolutely thrilled and will definitely return.

A wonderful 2 nights stay in nature

We checked in close to 2am and the hosts Kidem and Wayan (over whasapp) were both very warm and welcoming, no hesitation to receive us late in the night. We loved the rustic vibes of this place and being in the middle of nature, which you will hear the frogs or toads croaking through the night. I found that rather soothing but my partner struggled a little to fall asleep sleep.

No hairdryer - this was a tough one for long-haired beings. Dog(s) may bark when you walk past and that scared us a little, but the hosts are always on the lookout to calm them.

THE MOST AMAZING PLACE I HAVE EVER STAYED IN BALI

The most beautiful place I have ever stayed in Bali. I have been to Bali 11 times (I'm from Aus and my dad is Balinese), and I can wholeheartedly say that this place is pure magic. My only regret is not staying longer- the room was clean and immaculate, Kidem the host was so accomodating, fresh breakfast each day was beautiful, the place is quiet and serene, beautiful little pool with full sun exposure, air con in room that overlooks rice paddies. It is a beautiful 10 minute walk through rice paddies on a safe path to the Main Street or their team will happily take you to and from the main area on bikes (so easy). I will definitely be back. Thank you for the best stay I have ever had in Bali.

Fantastic stay; long walk!

The villas are located in a nice quiet area of Ubud. The service is excellent & the rooms comfortable.

The property is further away from the main road than advertised on booking.com & Apple maps! It’s a good 15/20 minute walk from the closest accessible road for cars. The walk is lovely through the rice fields and local cafes but very busy with scooter traffic. If you don’t have a scooter the walk can become a bit of a chore! (The staff will pick up your bags & offer to take you on their scooters)

Beautiful place to stay away from the busyness of the centre.

Contact with the property prior to staying and during our stay was always prompt and helpful and a taxi for our next stop was arranged. We stayed in room 4 which was at the end of the villas, looked out over rice fields and banana trees (and others) to the right. Lovely cottage, amazing bathroom with constant hot water, very clean. Bed was comfy and the bedding was nice. Mini bar facilities and fridge in room which is always handy. Staff were lovely and willing to transport you on the back of a scooter to and from the villas if you don’t want to walk to Ubud centre but to be honest, it was a beautiful 15-20 minute walk and well worth doing. Good choice of breakfast and cooked freshly, on our last day the owner even made our breakfast at 6am as we had an early start. Beautiful accommodation and amazing staff. Nice little pool and pool towels provided.

Peaceful villa set among rice fields with attentive hosts, porch breakfasts, and a uniquely tranquil

The staff were very friendly and attentive, with Mr. and Mrs. Kidem kindly arranging our transfers, excursions, and spa treatments. Breakfast was served on the porch in front of the villa, creating a peaceful atmosphere—listening to frogs at night and waking up to birdsong was truly special. The villa is uniquely located in the middle of rice fields, just five minutes by motorbike from the main road, and inaccessible by car, which adds to its charm and authenticity.

Perfect relaxing time in the hills around Ubud

Loved the daily breakfast, cooked fresh each morning. The location was very peaceful and quiet and you felt like you were off the beaten track but still easy to get down into Ubud. The staff were friendly and helpful.

A beautiful relaxing stay that allows you time to appreciate what’s important in life

Kidem and Wayah are truly beautiful people that can’t do enough for their guests . Location is not far from the Main Street and yet is situated in the middle of rice terraces (no noise from central Ubud) with plenty of Warungs along the path leading up to the property Breakfasts were amazing and Kidem himself as a local is full of knowledge about places to see in the area - you can easily arrange a day of driving to see waterfalls etc through him or the hire of scooters

Oasis in walking distance of downtown Ubud

Gorgeous setting with beautifully crafted wooden villas. It was such a respite from the hustle and bustle of downtown Ubud and totally worth the "off the beaten path" location. The only noises were the frogs, cicadas & birds...beyond peaceful! It's very easy and quick to get here by motorbike, but I usually opted to walk. The path goes through some beautiful rice fields and scenery and there are plenty of places to stop for a juice, coffee or meal. The location on Google maps is a little off however and I took a couple wrong turns as a result upon my initial arrival. It's worth taking them up on their scooter pick up until you know where you're going. There's no front desk area, but staff was always available in person or via What's App. Response time to messages was essentially immediate. It was very easy to order food/drinks, arrange breakfast, request a scooter ride to the main street, and coordinate arrival & departure. The villa and patio are magnificent and the pool is beautiful and refreshing. I stayed here for 3 nights and went in and out of downtown Ubud regularly. As a solo female traveler, I felt very comfortable and safe staying here.

We enjoyed this place

We liked this accommodation very much! We were able to relax here away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The breakfast is lovingly, tasty and freshly prepared. The bed is very comfortable and the pool is refreshing and clean. However, we were most impressed by the courteous and very friendly staff. They are very attentive! A Peaceful Paradise with the Best Host!

Our stay was absolutely perfect, and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Bali. Kidem and his staffs were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. He also helped us arrange a fantastic day trip to East Bali and also organized our transfer to the airport, which made our travel plans completely stress-free. The location is a dream if you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle. Tucked away in the middle of beautiful rice fields, the views are stunning and the atmosphere is so peaceful and serene. While it's a little way from the chaotic center of Ubud, they kindly offer free and convenient motorbike transfers to and from town. If you're looking for a genuine, peaceful, and wonderfully hosted Bali experience, this is it!

Very cute & very cosy . We went in the dry season ( May ) Only got bitten by mossies one night sitting outside at restaurants down the road. Beautiful surroundings around rice view , some with water & without water . So quiet too . They put mossies disfuser smoke thing to prevent them coming inside every night . Breakfast was gorgeous. The staffs were kindly to ride us on motorcycles to drop us to the gate early morning to meet our tour driver & also to pick us up . In our 50,s we were too tired to walk 1.9k up the hill . We definitely be back . The street down the road 2k from villa is also good and flat walking to visit the shop

That it was up in the mountains, and not in the city. We also liked the remoteness of the villas and the scenery and jungle all around us. We also liked the fact that they brought us breakfast every morning and that they would always give us a scooter ride down to the main road, which was a 1 km trip

Beautiful stay in a remote location

Very beautiful setting in the middle of the rice fields! Quite dreamy. The room was spacious clean and comfortable !! Excellent breakfast and kind staff.

Big downside for me was the location. From the main road you have to drive for 10min on a narrow path through the rice fields and then walk a few minutes to reach the hotel. It’s fine if you plan to just go there to sleep and have breakfast in the morning but if you like to come in and out of your hotel throughout the day (like me) it’s quite unpractical how secluded the place is.

A perfect stay

Perfect stay at a perfect hut. Really comfy bed, excellent breakfast (pancakes were the highlight). The location is like from a dream. Communication was great and Kidem, his wife and all the staff were very friendly and helpful

Beautiful villa in the rice terraces

The location in between the rice fields was so beautiful! The villa was really spacious, clean and beautiful decorated. We really did enjoy the small pool and the terrace in front of the villa where we could sit outside in the evening and drink tea made by the owner. A big thanks to the owner and his staff (and friendly dogs) for taking such a good care!

I think you absolutely need a scooter, the path is quite narrow so a little complicated if you don't know how to drive one. Would love to visit this place again

The hosts were absolutely amazing, willing and helpful. Cottage is very nice, new and clean. You are just few minutes from the centre but hidden between rice fields in nature. Don’t forgot to ask for delicious teas which hosts can serve you ♥️

The place is not accessible by car and the “road” or rather sidewalk is little adventurous while driving scooter 😁 But hosts will take you and all your stuf by bike ☺️

What can I say... I simply cannot speak highly enough about Kidem and his wife (owners) and their amazing villas in the rice paddy. Firstly the property, the comfiest beds, mattress, feather pillows you've ever tried. The breakfast on the terrace each morning amazing, a huge selection, the whole experience was just the most relaxing I've ever had. But what I cannot speak enough about is the owners. They both went above and beyond, providing us with free lifts to the town whenever we needed (even at 2am, with a smile on their face) nothing is too much for them to do for you. They can also arrange every tour/trip/boat you may need over the entire island at a lower price than anywhere else online or in the village. We were so sad to leave. This place was better than some of the best 5* hotels I've stayed in anywhere else in the world. (It is exactly as in the pictures)

Everything. Kidem, his wife and staff are the best hosts ever. Even their dog (Chu Chu) is super friendly. They treat us like family and go above and beyond to please their guests. They are absolutely amazing people and so so kind that are always worried if we need something. Kidem is also the best tour guide. He drove us to stunning places and we could learn a lot from him about Balinese culture. The villas are always cleaned, comfortable and beautiful! Best sleep we have ever had in our lives. They fed us with traditional food and we also loved the breakfast they cooked for us every morning. I got to tell you - the pancakes and the tea are to die for. If you stay here you will get the real Balinese experience. Way better than a resort! Kidem, wife and staff girls, we wish you the best and hope we can meet again once we come back to Bali! Room was lovely and spacious with an abundance of natural light. The bed, bedding and pillow were all super comfortable which led to an amazing few nights sleep. The scenery surrounding is stunning making you feel your staying in a painting. The owner are also amazing!! There level of customer service was exceptional and they’re genuinely happy to help you in any way. The day of our check out was a national holiday so no taxis would pick us up. Kidem drop us off in his own our free of charge taking time out of his day. He’s an amazing host who I can’t speak highly enough off. If you have the option to stay here please do and support this local family.
