We would definitely recommend this hotel and have no problem booking again if we return to Ubud

We were told 30 mins but waited over an hour before we called them and then they finally told us it was ready. When we went in, there was no toilet paper and no towels. We asked for them which they brought but when I asked for a bath mat as the shower is not seperate to the bathroom they said no which meant the whole bathroom floor was soaked and super slippery. If it weren’t for these things the hotel would be rated higher. I understand it is Bali but when you pay to check in at 2 you expect to do that and not have to call up an hour later to find out. Was very nice and looked amazing, rooms were spacious which was nice.

The room and the service were amazing!

The room and the service were amazing! The room was big, clean and comfortable! Octa, the receptionist, did everything to make our stay enjoyable and arranged amazing tours for us around Ubud! The breakfast was so good that we literally had all our meals at the hotel's restaurant! There is also a very good massage at the hotel! We definitely come back again!

Meruhdani is a lovely hotel in a great Ubud location, close to everything while still feeling peaceful and tucked away. The pool area was particularly nice, calm, and relaxing, and the hotel remained quiet throughout our stay. Our room was comfortably spacious with a very comfortable bed, making it easy to unwind after busy days exploring. Breakfast was limited in choice but done extremely well, with high-quality ingredients and genuinely great coffee. As with so many places in Indonesia, the staff were wonderfuL warm, attentive, and always happy to help, which really enhanced our experience.

The main drawback for us was the bathroom setup. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a proper shower, only a handheld shower head attached very low on the wall, which meant you had to lie in the bath to wash. This was quite inconvenient and ultimately the reason we wouldn’t choose to stay again. That said, it feels like an issue that could be easily resolved by installing a longer hose and mounting the shower head at standing height. Overall, Meruhdani has many great qualities, and with this small but important improvement, it could be an excellent stay.

Peaceful oasis in a busy ubud

Beautiful hotel just a little bit back from the hustle and bustle of the main road. The room was huge and clean. Great en-suite. The staff are so so nice. The pool is small but refreshing. Perfect to cool down in the midday heat. Some great places to eat very close and you can walk easily to the monkey forest or the ridge walk and temples. Would defo recommend!

Good location - close to restaurants & shopping street. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Drinking water re-fills available free of charge was appreciated. Breakfast included a number of Western items, each of which were delicious, however, the restaurant is separate to the hotel, and no local options were available.

Staff socialising/watching shows on their phone at reception was often very noisy and could be heard from the pool area and guest balconies. Therefore, unfortunately the pool/guest balconies were often not a quiet/relaxing space. The cleaning products and waste (eg. Big garbage bags, mops, sheets, etc) were left on the main walk way in front of guest rooms / staircase everyday from 9am until approx. 3pm. This was unsightly and required guests to walk around this equipment / rubbish to get to the pool or their rooms. Some rooms had showers over bathtubs with the tubs being very slippery (hazardous). While the pool was nice, the sun loungers looked directly into guest rooms/balconies. Note, the entryway is also a small motorbike carpark that also added to additional noise.

Overall fulfilled our needs

Location is excellent, situated withing the main centre of Ubud, walking distance to Ubud Palace, Monkey Forest Rd, restaurants and shops. A few mins car ride to Bintang supermarket, 15 mins to rice terraces. Rooms were comfortable and clean, air con worked well, shower pressure was good, wifi coverage was good. Comfortable & clean. Staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast portions were small and only limited options available. Small boutique hotel that was sufficient for our needs in beautiful Ubud.

Pool could have been cleaner. Water was murky . Breakfast options were limited and portions small.

Good value accommodation in Jalan Bisma.

Excellent stay. Our room on the second floor was quiet and clean with a large balcony.

TV reception was poor and not as advertised which made it impossible to watch any of the channels. This was disappointing.

- The shower in our room was not great. A bit uncomfortable for washing long hair. - We booked the Ubud surrounding tour via the hotel. We were a bit disappointed with the tour as the guide was just bringing us from one place to the other without providing us any info. We wouldn't recommend booking that tour via the hotel.

Lovely little hotel right near everything you need in Ubud. Beautiful gardens. Set back from main road. Little oasis. Staff super helpful. Lovely breakfast. We booked a couple of trips through reception. Lovely room and small patio looking over the pool. Bed comfy. Great bar next door...

Taking shower was inconvenient because there was only overhead shower and it took long time to get warm water. We stayed for 3 nights so it didn’t bother too much, but for a longer stay it would be annoying. Breakfast was good but portions were quite small.

Amazing!

Amazing I loved it! The staff are so kind and polite and help you so much, the rooms are lovely really comfortable bed and clean. The tvs are good and have Netflix, the pool is also nice. You can have breakfast each morning which is nice and there are lovely restaurants nearby! Please go to Pukako cafe it’s lovely the food there is amazing and the ladies in there are so sweet and kind. Amazing location too! It’s so close to everything. I would book this again if coming back

Hidden gem in Ubud!

This is a lovely and charming hotel situated in the center of Ubud while being just enough out of the bustle to be quiet. Since this is my 4th time in Ubud, I was looking for a place centrally located, but far enough away from the Monkey Forest, because monkeys! Meruhdani is perfectly located... we didn't see a monkey the entire time we were there. The staff are super friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast at Cosmo delicious. Will definitely be returning!

Beautiful Stay

I've been here before, and I really love the location set on Jl Bisma, wonderful street with loads of restaurants, awesome live band/bar Why Not nearby, beautiful gardens, lovely pool, cute bungalow we stayed in. Staff really wonderful, especially one of the male staff who cleaned our room.

Only that the pillows were small and not overly comfy, the TV only had YouTube/Netflix, would prefer cable when in Bali.
