A peaceful hidden gem among the rice fields

I loved my stay so much, especially the balcony room. Sitting outside, looking over the rice fields, was incredibly relaxing. Joni and his staff were so kind and helpful at all times – you really feel taken care of here. The place is wonderfully quiet and peaceful, surrounded by rice fields. In the evenings, when it gets dark and the fireflies start glowing, it feels really special. At the same time, it’s still close to the center, which makes the location perfect. I already can’t wait to come back and I already stayed twice:)

Beautiful and comfortable! My best hotel.

Clean and comfortable. Good and kind people. They carried luggages from the gate of the village. (You can also walk to the Ubud Palace) Swimming pool with beautiful rice terrace. Fireflies at night from the view and orange walk. My kids liked this hotel the best. Dogs were cute and friendly.

Water drain problem when you use a lot of water and water pressure changes sometimes.

Everything was great!

The apartment is located close to the center of Ubud. 10 minutes walk between rice fields. Something wonderful! We liked it very much! Super quality and very good contact with the host. We arrived at 23:00 and he himself offered to go for us to get something to eat! The rooms are charming, with a nice view, very well furnished, cleaned every day. I recommend it with all my heart!

The accommodation is in a very peaceful location, very clean, and the owner is extremely helpful.

The accommodation is in the middle of the rice fields, secluded from everything. And if you’re looking for peace and quiet, it’s exactly the right place. The owner and the staff are incredibly warm and kind. I got sick during my stay, and they truly did everything for me. They gave me medicine and even drove me to the clinic. I felt so well taken care of, especially since I was traveling alone. I’m incredibly grateful for the wonderful people there they really make the place special. They’re always so helpful and there whenever you need anything.

If you’re traveling alone as a woman and want to connect with others, this isn’t the ideal place. But if you want to relax and have some time to yourself, it’s the perfect spot.

Very comfortable plus amazing location

Amazing location with a view of the rice fields and you can see the fireflies! It is very peaceful anf about a 10 minute walk to the centre for all the action. Places to eat within 2 minutes too. The staff are the kindest we have had in Bali, the road isn't accessible by car so they picked our heavy bags up and took them to the room for us. When we left they even took our bags to our stop for us. We 100% recommend this place! 10 out of 10 for comfort too. Thanks!

The only minor issue was the dishes in the kitchen weren't cleaned properly when we arrived. But the room and kitchen itself were spotless with cleaning every day.

The location was perfect! 10 minute walk to the centre through the rice fields. Very nice surrounding restaurants also. The staff were very kind and helpful, they drove down and helped us with our bags on arrival (You can only walk/ motorbike to the location).

The roosters woke us up a few times. I think the rooms and bathrooms could do with a good clean/ paint but I would definitely stay again!

A budget friendly, peaceful and very picturesque escape from the busy town centre.

Very peaceful, comfortable, budget friendly with great food options up on the hill and more as you get down into ubud town. The Wi-Fi was good and the staff very friendly.

There was certainly no sign of previous guests, but I would suggest trying some more aggressive cleaning chemicals in the bathroom. That said, we would very happily go back.

You want rice field views in a comfy hotel room? This is the place for you

This place is an absolute gem. Situated in the rice fields just a 15 minute walk away from the main street, it feels miles away from the city. Gorgeous views, an incredible restaurant nearby (Sweet Orange), and a rooster to wake you up before 7am :D Just staying here was an experience in itself. The view outside my window never got old.

Wifi was functional, but don't count on it sustaining long video calls without some lag. Some ants and bugs made it into the room. This is a rural location, it comes with the territory. Everything else was perfect. I'd stay again in a heartbeat.

the location was amazing, so quiet and peaceful. Made and his wife picked me up at 1am in the morning, which was amazing and Made also took my bags to my next accommodation without any hesitation and assisted me with checking into the new place when the staff were no place to be seen. I would definitely recommend staying here if you would like a relaxing vibe.

Very calm and clean stay with scenic views, with city center at walking distance

The guesthouse is new, right in the rice field, you don’t hear the neighbors. it’s only 10 min from the main road by walk by promenade between the rice fields. My room was spacy and extremely clean, no bad smells, fresh air from the fields, AC was working good. No mosquitos. Roostlers, frogs, ducks and fireflies nearby give a nice feel of nature. Jonnie was very helpful with luggage and was always available for riding me to different places around the city.

There is a short climb on the road, should be taken into consideration by those with disabilities or stroller (but Grab bikes bring you easily there, and luggage is brought by the stuff by bike). After 11.00 the lights down the trackway are off, so if you go back late use the flashlight.

I booked this room as I had been staying in backpackers for the majority of my stay in bali and wanted a bit of luxury for my last night - this accommodation was beautiful! Huge double bed, lovely shower, safe for passport and clean facilities. Right on the rice fields, past all the markets! The pool was refreshing and the owners helped me book transport , which as so kind! Highly recommended

Joenie the owner/manager was great at helping us with whatever we need and replying quickly to the messages. As he was the only good thing about our stay. This place would be nice for 1 days max to have an experience in the middle of the rice fields. Also wifi is good.

NEVER stay here if there's a chance of raining!! It's impossible to reach by car and by motorbike(unless ur a local bike expert). So you have to walk for 15 mins under the rain, AND have puddles of water that you have to cross reaching over your feet. I think this place would be nice during dry season for 1-2 days max to have a rice field experience. But the place is very hard to reach even though it says its close to the main street. Also, it's crawling with ants and lizards (like most places in bali). It honestly ruined our 4-5 day trip ubud.

Worst hotel experience in Indonesia

This was our worst experience in Indonesia, actually the only bad one. That the hotel wasn't reachable by car but only by walking about 15 minutes was only just annoying. We didn't mind then that we got two upstairs rooms instead of one upstairs and one downstairs room we had booked (the other 2 rooms were occupied by other guests). The hotel has a total of 4 rooms. The next day in the afternoon, we were about an hour away with our 3 children, the owner called us and told us that he would have to move out our belongings from one room and move them to another room because there was a new guest who had booked the upper room. Obviously the owner had overbooked his hotel. We told the owner that we didn't want him to touch our belongings and that we were far away and had plans to come back only late in the evening. After all we walked with our 5 year old twins and our 9 year old back to the hotel and when we reached it we found that the owner had, even though we had told him explicitly not to, moved out the baggage, underwear, personal belongings etc. from one of the two rooms and put them in the other room we occupied. We canceled the rooms the same day of course and moved to another place. Do you want a stranger to touch and move every personal things you leave in your hotel room? Toothbrush, bra, everything?

Peaceful and quiet amongst the Rice fields, where you can appreciate the little things in nature.

It was peaceful. Pity there was no road to the accommodation. The added bonus of the chickens Breakfast was typical man cooked, with little variety, but was edible and sustained us till lunch.

Bathroom could have been cleaner. TV only offered local stations & no English speaking or subtitles. Noise of the water pump I should have done more research into the location, but after being down on the main street during the day, we appreciated the quiet retreat.

This room needs a good cleaning. In the bathroom, you need to wash the walls, mirror, bottom well. The refrigerator was dirty, the previous tenants forgot food in the drawer of the bedside table and no one removed it. Overall the room is nice but not clean enough. What in the photo looks like a workplace of insufficient size for a comfortable seat.

The hotel seems to be newly built, excellent value for money! Spacious rooms, beautiful design, big delicious breakfast and nice hosts. The swimming pool is a plus, the area is quiet and there is a nice restaurant “Sweet orange” just a few steps away. Super fast WiFi

We stayed for a week and our room was never cleaned, same towels, trash bin was never emptied, we started to feel like we had to bring the dishes back from the balcony to the kitchen after having breakfast because we noticed nobody was coming to take them away in hours.
