Good Location

This guesthouse provided us with a great location as it is a short walk to the main road along a narrow path (also used by mopeds). I visited the yoga place next door, which was handy. The staff were lovely and responsive to requests. The rooms and breakfast are basic but this was expected given the price point. The pool was lovely and the sunbeds were comfortable.

Serene and peaceful hotel with stunning views of nature and friendly staff

Safe, quiet, and an easy location for Grab/Gojeck pickups The staff was so helpful when it came to getting to the hotel- assisting with my bags and everything. They welcomed me with fresh watermelon juice and gave me a tour of the property.

Peaceful relaxing place to stay away from the craziness of the town

The location is lovely very peaceful. Enjoyed relaxing by the pool and eating breakfast/dinner overlooking the rice fields. Candra was so helpful when our flight was 5 hours late, always responding and liaising with the taxi driver when we arrived in the middle of the night including picking us up. And super close to yoga studios/silver jewellery making and spa.

Nothing not to like but be aware that there are no roads in so transport is by motorbike or walking. Which adds to the appeal I think.

Amazing hotel, we could not recommend it enough! The staff is so friendly and helpful, they always have a smile for you! They helped us to arrange activities with a driver, cooking class and massage, all really worth it! Room is cute and spacious, with comfortable mattress and bathroom, hot water and pressure worked perfectly! Finally, the breakfast is generous and super tasty, as it is all the restaurant menu if you want to have nice local dinner at a good price, and you can enjoy it all with a nice view to the rice fields.

Nothing to complain about, everything was perfect for us. Just to keep in mind if this could bother anyone, hotel is in the middle of a rice field, which makes it quiet while still 10 min walk to main road. Although super clean, it is normal that you see some little bugs or lizards around, but nothing major.

A Warm, Welcoming Stay in the Heart of the Ricefields

The atmosphere is warm, friendly, and truly welcoming. The staff are incredibly kind—we really loved our stay thanks to them. We stayed for 9 nights and felt right at home. The location is lively and set in the charming ricefields area. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The food here is delicious—breakfast is generous and tasty, and you can also enjoy lunch or dinner, which are equally amazing. Plus, there are two great yoga studios just a minute’s walk away. Overall, it’s a great base for exploring the center and sights of Ubud, enjoying the local culture and cuisine, connecting with nature, and relaxing.

The location has its pros and cons. Since the guesthouse is only accessible by a narrow footpath, it’s not reachable by car—you’ll need to walk about 10 minutes. That said, the walk is quite pleasant, with lots of charming cafés and restaurants along the way. Also, the staff brings your luggage.

Splendid location reached after 10 minutes walk

Very nice hotel slightly outside Ubud in the middle of the rice field. Spacious, clean and well decorated rooms. Great breakfast (pineapple juice was amazing) and good food (Grab local legend).

Hotel accessible only by feet or scooter. 800m manageable but very annoying due to the constant flow of scooters on the narrow way. Breakfast is not served before 8AM and staff not willing to anticipate even by 15 minutes to accommodate an early pick-up. They proposed us multiple time a web site to book tours around Ubud but did not help facilitating the discussion with their partner which was not responding. We finally managed our way with a different partner.

Beautiful spot among the rice fields, large comfy rooms and popular restaurant onsite.

Lovely accommodation set amongst rice paddies accessible via a wide scooter path only. The staff were really lovely, breakfast choices outstanding, and the fact there is a restaurant on site made life very easy after long days. To access the property, you just whatsapp the team and they come down and collect all of your luggage on their scooters. They offered lifting us but I was happy to walk. We hired scooters and were also fine to walk so I found this location perfect. Beautiful surroundings, plenty of yoga options. Big clean rooms with water provided. Would absolutely stay here again.

I don't have any suggestions. This was great value for money and I'm pleased we chose to stay here.

Peaceful and beautiful location in the ricefields of Ubud

Comfortable accommodation in a beautiful and peaceful location amongst the ricefields, just a 10 minute walk from central Ubud. The staff are friendly and helpful. Great breakfast; in fact all food served in the warung was delicious. This is my 3rd stay here and it's fantastic every time!

A little bit of paradise .

Loved everything , from the moment we arrived until the end of our stay. We arrived late at night, we were welcomed like family , the room was fabulous, super clean , toiletries provided, AC and fan worked well . Bed was very comfortable and bathroom more than adequate . Breakfast was beautiful and delicious , choices including Indonesian, Balinese and English . Plus fresh coconut juice served in the coconut and fruit platters . But the most outstanding factor are the staff, genuine, professional and always smiling , made us feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble . We arrived with super heavy suitcases and we were assisted immediately . The property is five minutes walk from the main road ,so assistance is offered as standard especially if you have heavy luggage/ any disability , you will be whisked up to your little bit of paradise by scooter , I have an ankle injury and was a little hesitant , but Alex is wonderful and made me feel so safe . We only stayed three days, in that time we took advantage of the in room massage therapy and also the market visit with cookery half day . We then went on to join a cruise, but we’re not excited to leave, this beautiful residence was very exotic and gorgeous . Thank you to the beautiful staff Candra, her dear family and Alex.

It was a perfect experience from the first day to the last.

The hotel staff was always smiling and helpful. The hotel had a wonderful view of the rice fields. The food was great and the prices were very good, we tried almost the entire menu. We also used the laundry service and all our laundry was delivered clean, ironed and packaged.

The narrow road to the hotel seemed long the first day but you get used to it the next day. It's worth it for the view.

Shanti shanti wonderful place

This place is stunning. Located on a yoga path on a hill between the rice paddies, a family run hotel with expensive rooms, a beautiful garden and a pool and generous breakfasts. Add to that a personal super friendly service from the owner of the hotel, and you get the best of all worlds.

Peaceful location close to everything in Ubud.

Excellent location on a quaint (but busy) path accessible only by foot or motorbike. Hotel staff are super helpful and friendly. They will meet you at the main road on scooters and take you and your bags to the hotel. You can continue on the path past the hotel and you will find beautiful rice fields with little cafes and art shops dotted along the way. Only a 10-15 walk to the main market and the heart of Ubud with loads of excellent restaurants nearby. The restaurant at the hotel has fabulous food and we ate there several times. The room was very clean, spacious and had excellent air conditioning. Staff was helpful in arranging comfortable and reliable transportation to our next location. If coming back to Ubud we would definitely stay here again.

Shower pressure was a little low at times and the bed is very firm but was not uncomfortable. The path from the road to the hotel is narrow in places and can be busy at times with lots of scooters and pedestrians going back and forth but it wasn’t problem for us.

Calm and quiet place

if you prefer to be cut off by the city madness an amazing place to stay. Next to rice fields and quiet fresh air, cool breeze. The staff is helpful and amazing. Please keep in mind that this area is cut off from any 4-wheel access and it has a narrow paved path which is very good for walking and avoiding the two-wheelers pass frequently. So if you are coming with luggage the staff will help you from the drop off point on the two-wheelers. They have a nice small pool, a clean place. For the price offered worth the stay

As I want the place to be much better a few suggestions - please add a bit more variety to your amazing food by introducing local cuisine for breakfast. The food served is very tasty. As previously suggested by another traveller the bed does squeak....so pls have a check on all the beds.

Lovely staff, nice location, cute garden, enjoyable pool. Nice breakfast options. We had a large room, good aircon, good wifi, safety box, shelf space, room had windows around 2 sides, but the curtains were good and nights were silent, so could sleep well. In the rice fields surrounding the premise we saw many fireflies, which was very cool.

The bed was really creaky, it was comfortable to lay in, but every movement came with noise... The bathroom was with open roof over the shower, which was funny, could get used to it, downside is that it had the outside temperature and the risk of getting mosquito bites while on the toilet.

Wonderful stay in central location.

Amazing stay at Ubud Shanti Rice Field House! Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, helping us with anything we needed. The rooms are beautifully decorated, super clean and very spacious. Great location a little walk from the main Street. Perfect for us as a little quieter. Food is very good. Highly recommended stay!

Perfectly clean, spacious & value for money

Fantastic huge rooms, exceptional cleanliness & quietness, very comfortable beds, excellent air-conditioner, perfectly operating fridge, complimentary water & coffee in the room, private terrace right on the pool. Nested in a rice-field you just want to see the sun-rise and smell the clean air away from the center uproar. Very sober & diverse choices of balinese meals, dream location and view from the small restaurant corner right on the walk-street. Candra is running her family homestay like a loving hostess, and everyone just smiles, transfers peaceful feelings, and fits perfectly into this postcard-landscape. Loved them !!

The only disappointment was the internet speed, but you are not here for work !! Are you ? If you are, then you probably won't even choose this retreat, located 15 minutes walk from the "main-street". Design and fashion statements are not predominant, but the pool, murmur of the little fountain, the overall peaceful set-up is meant for your comfort.

Peaceful, revitalizing stay amongst the rice fields close to Ubud Center but a world away

Beautiful location set amongst the rice paddies along a small path only accessible by scooter or foot, yet close to center. Quiet evenings with only nature serenading you. Fantastic warung and delicious breakfast. Many cute warungs with good food and good prices nearby. Next to Ubud Yoga House with good, small classes. Would definitely stay again if there is a room available. Rooms are spacious and feature good WiFi that works and a desk with mirror so it can double as a vanity to get ready. Armoire for hanging clothes with shelves. Good hot water in shower. Thanks Candra :)

Chill location and great restaurant for affordable price

Nice location slightly away from the craziness of the city but a 2 minute walk from several cafes, yoga studios and restaurants. The hotel’s restaurant is also one of the better I’ve eaten especially for the very reasonable prices. Room was spacious and clean with good AC.

First floor rooms feel like you have little privacy without closing curtains and bad smell in bathroom (though that’s fairly common here)

Amazingly friendly staff, always ready to help. Location is great, 7 min stroll to the center but at the same time in the middle of a very peaceful rice field. Good breakfast and the food super tasty; tried the vege curry and it was delicious!

You only get a body towel and no hand towel. something super minor actually but maybe one hand towel would be nice to have in the room :)

the property is really dirty. mold on the curtains, stains on the sheets, the bathroom was quite dirty. the outdoor furniture was literally falling apart and I don’t think it had ever been cleaned. overall it just seemed like an old and unkept property. bed was horrifically uncomfortable.
