Adiwana Svarga Loka - A Retreat Resort

Excellent location.

It was a maze of stairs. Hard to find your way around. Lots and lots of stairs. The restaurant was out of quite a bit of the food on the menu.

Parts of the property closer to the river seem to be under renovation or not in good shape

Beautiful setting with hotel rooms and facilities spread unobtrusively amongst the remains of ancient buildings and lush vegetation. Service was irreproachable - although one ma find it a little obsequious if (like us) one is not used to it

Use of outside spaces, which are beautiful, is limited by noise from construction work from surrounding premises. Apparently this is a constant problem due to the continuing (over) development of Ubud, and is not specific to this hotel.

We stayed 3 night in the hotel . Pictures of hotel are misleading the hotel is very old and looked a bit dodgy . Lobby is basically an open old temple , all facilities are very old . We got a nice room abowe restaurant and it was great Because at least we have nice view and big room with bath and hot water , but the other rooms like bungalows looked a bit dark with no much sun access .I would not stay there again for sure but we were happy with our room at least . Regarding the pool it was very cold water that my kids didn’t want to swim in it and the photo of the pool that is oval this pool is miles away climbing down so not really accessible if you want to go with kids . Breakfast was ok but nothing extraordinary as some people mentioned it was fantastic - not it was average . This is good brand hotel and has got 4 start but I would not rate is as high , area looked old and scary , hotel need a big renovation .
