Perfect place for a family vacation in Switzerland

They communicated the check in clearly and the box was easy to find and open. Perfect apartment - 2 bedrooms, well-equipped kitchen, bathroom was good. There were even some chocolate bars and water left for us - nice small details. It was clean and neat. Parking was just in frond, the train station was literally 3 minutes walk away and the train to Lucerne came often enough. No problems with the check in and check out.

If I have to look for flaws - I asked for a cot but it was not prepared in advance but I only booked it the evening before so I guess it was too last minute.

I think it was an amazing apartment, we enjoyed our stay and I would love to book the place again!

I liked the little details, a few chocolate bars on the dining table, some drinks in the fridge, cleaned dishes and all the components a kitchen can have, overall we enjoyed our own breakfast and even cooked a family dinner that night we stayed in!

I feel bad to even think of finding something I didn't like because it was 100% amazing, however, I could suggest a tiny thing, the doors within the apartment do not have locks, they are sliding glass doors, we were 2 couples with kids, now since we were family that is okay but it was a bit a hassle to use the bathroom having kids around, without any locks, the doors could open at any moment without any alerts, so that was a bit funny whenever using private times within the bathroom or the rooms, so I would highly recommend to have locks on all doors!

A lovely villa in a beautiful Swiss town.

A fantastic view with mountains in both directions. Easy on-site parking, and a well outfitted kitchen. Loved having a washer/dryer and 3 BR. Several hiking paths nearby.

Amazing view but the bathroom needs some improvement

Amazing location. Close to lake and train up Mount Pilatus. Fabulous views and spacious, comfortable apartment

The cleaners had not prepared the flat well. I spent time explaining what hadn't been cleaned or supplied (tea towels, garbage bags). The bathroom is huge, but the shower is awful with wonky planks of wood to stand on. The automatic light is terrible when you need to use the toilet during the night.

Spacious apartment - recommended for families with kids.

Spacious, clean, well maintained apartment with all facilities required for family. Well equipped kitchen. Train station 4-5 min walk. Property owner(Karin) is very helpful. She answered all questions and guided us appropriately . We had wonderful stay in Pilatus apartment and enjoyedout switzerland trip. I recommend it for Indian families with kids who are interested in cooking food at home ( as Switzerland is very costly if you go to restaurants for every day meal)

Not many Grocery shops /supermarkets in walkable distance. If you are coming late evening, better bring your food/grocery with you.

The apartment is clean, well located, and has a nice kitchen with everything we needed. We liked that you even provided some food, drinks, and a manual for using everything.

There are many things that need improvement. The shower is broken and leaking, which was very uncomfortable. The bathroom door doesn’t have a doorstop, which made privacy difficult for us as a family. The TV is too old and doesn’t work at all.....it just keeps loading. During the night (22–01), there was constant loud walking upstairs, and it was so disturbing that we couldn’t sleep properly(lake of sound proofing). The mosquito device you provided doesn’t work, so mosquitoes were a problem. Bedsheets and blankets smelled very bad, which made sleeping unpleasant. Also, there is no bathroom doormat, so the floor gets messy.

Unbeatable location as a base to travel in the region

Great location, just 3 minutes walk from the Alpnachstad train station. Easy to travel to Luzern and nearly places. Also a stone throw's away from the cogwheel train going up to Mount Pilatus. The neighbourhood is quite and safe. The size of the apartment is just right for a family of 3 or 4. One double bed in each of the two bedrooms. Comfy beds. We didn't have time to cook meals but the kitchen is well equipped. Toilet is spotless and sufficient towels provided. And thanks to the owner who provided milk, fruit juice, cheese and bread free of charge. It's great to have a late night snack when we got back to the apartment.

Spacious apartment, minimal soundproofing, not much else to do in Alpnachstad

Pilatus Apartment 1 was quite a spacious 2BR/1BA with a private rear entrance. Appreciated that the host provided a few staples in the fridge and a small welcome basket. We were delighted there was a microwave (but it didn't function). Our daughter loved the twin Murphy bed in the living room to sleep separately from her two brothers in the bunk room. Neat and tidy overall.

* Minimal sound proofing between floors: We heard thumping footsteps when the upstairs neighbors walked, even though they were probably just walking normally. Even with earplugs at night, could still hear the footsteps. * Lack of A/C: Weather was hot, the apartment felt quite warm at night (there was only one fan provided for the entire large apartment). * Needs some TLC: Most controls in the shower no longer work - couldn't activate primary shower head, only the handheld wand worked (this has been mentioned in reviews from 2024, over a year prior). Mattresses could be upgraded, along with pillows (flat, square throw pillows instead of actual sleeping pillows). The outdoor patio felt neglected, so we didn't want to spend much time on it. * Inconsistent communication: Host was responsive with check-in details, but didn't receive timely responses to our questions regarding check-out logistics (the binder had random information but little instructions about what we needed to do to check-out). * No nearby conveniences: Although the cogwheel to Mt. Pilatus and SBB train station were nearby, very little else was happening in this part of town - no grocery store within walking distance, and absolutely nothing open in the evening. Think we would have preferred staying in Lucerne or the main Alpnach and just visited this area during the day.

It was a beautiful, relaxing and epic stay!

The view is priceless. It is a quiet neighborhood. There were five of us but still plenty of room to move around. Finally, Karin is an awesome owner/administrator. She was so prompt in responding to our inquiries and to top it all, the microwave wasn’t working and she bought us a new one!

Amazing views, clean and a good layout. We were very appreciative of the portable a/c.

Fans in the bedrooms would have been nice. Wash cloths and body wash would have been appreciated. Window coverings in the bedrooms would have been nice. The sun came up at 5:00 am and therefore, so did we!

Everything was wonderful. The unit was spacious and clean and the view was amazing. The location is great, 2 minute walk to the train station and the cog wheel station to Mt. Pilatus. Also conveniently located between Lucern and Interlaken.

The shower control is broken and can’t adjust the temperature. The paper blinds in the bedroom do not block out the light. Would be handy if shampoo and shower gel are provided.

Clean property, near train station. Laundry and dryer worked well.

Thin walls, neighbors walking above very noisy. No top sheet on beds. Only fans to help cool apartment even though mobile ac unit was supposed to be in apt. Sauna Shower was broken except handheld wand. Bidet was broken, toilet did flush well. No grocery stores near apt, had to take train to another town after stop for this apt.
