The location

Never stay at this property! It was dirty, dusty, broken cupboards and the beds gave me bed bug bites!!!! The communication with the owner was non existent and there was no WiFi for the whole weekend. I can’t believe how much we paid for such an awful property. It shouldn’t be allowed to run on any booking site.

Worst property ever

I just liked the location though not that great as mentioned in the website

This was the worst property out of the 6 properties we had ever stayed in our 12 days trip in Europe. The host was not cooperative at all. He did not provide us with guest card which all other travellers staying in Interlaken received. Bathroom would clog. There was no wifi which is the basic facility everywhere. All utensils were of poor quality and plates and glasses were dirty. There were no toiletries or basic coffee making items available. And the response from host for any messages were rude. Cots were very weak and beds and pillows were low class and not comfortable. I would request any other travellers to not take this. And I demand a full refund.

Only a good geographical location.

The apartment information stated there were three rooms, but in fact, there were five. The landlord completely ignored us, only replying to the messages he wanted to. Moreover, the internet was completely unusable, and even after we reported the problem, it wasn't resolved. The temperature was extremely hot, but there were only three fans. Because of this, an argument broke out. It was a very bad experience.

Location

The property was three flight of stairs up, it was very difficult to carry our bags up and down. The sink in one of the shower was blocking up, when we informed the owner he asked as to be around at his given time of 1pm which was not possible as we were travelling and wasted to explore Interlaken rather then sitting in the apartment waiting for him. Shower handle was broken. There was a fan without cover. Kettle was leaking.fridge was iced up.

Bathroom reeked of sewage smell & the light & fan could not be turned off. Toilet flusher broken. Mold in other bathroom & a bare ceiling bulb that the door would hit if we weren't very careful. Kitchen had limited utensils - 4 forks & it slept 10. One very scratched fry pan. No lids that fit the pots. No response to 4 emails asking how to get in. Bedding & floor felt dirty. Very noisy at night. Only 2 of 4 closets had a rod. Only 3 hangers. Broken handle on the 1 night stand. Lighting was ceiling lights. No reading lights. VERY overpriced. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

We found bed bugs in 2 of the beds. I woke up because of 2 bed bugs bitting me at 3am. Not a pleasant experience at all. After complaining, we were moved to another apartment by the same host but this ruined our trip a little.

AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!

Chosen for location

Cannot stress enough how awful the accomodation is and how it should be avoided. This place is dangerous, please do not expose yourself or your family to harm. We had to find an alternative place to stay as it was just not habitable. There were broken electrical plug sockets with exposed wires as well as the light fixture in the bathroom. Extensive mould on the ceiling and shower cubicles. Then to cap it off bed bugs, the children in the group were bitten and reacted to the bites. Happy to provide photos if required. The apartment was filthy, stained sheets with holes, table surfaces dirty and generally a very grubby apartment. Do not believe the photos shown on booking these are false! I cannot understand the sheer gall for them to charge over £400 per night!!! We complained to Booking.com, who were friendly and polite but ultimately useless. Did not offer to help find an alternative safe place to stay. We had no choice but to find an alternative via Airbnb (wish I had used them from the start.) Booking.com have not offered the refund that I am demanding and therefore despite previous good experiences with Booking, I would not recommend them. The accommodation is a reflection on them and given how they have thus far dealt with my complaint I cannot have confidence in using them again and feel others are at risk of loosing money through false advertising. Cannot stress enough how awful the accomodation is and how it should be avoided at all costs.

The bathroom was very dirty. Looked up with lots of mold. Stains on most of the sheet sets. Marks on the walls consistent with cigarette type burns.

The location of the place is good but everything else is bad

The apartment is not maintained at all. The worst bathrooms I've ever seen in life, it was worse than a cheap motel, very disappointed with the place. I guess this is what you get for the price as everything is expensive in Interlaken. I would rather stay a bit far and drive to the city but will never stay here again, worst place ever.

Basic facilities were missing in the apartment like Light in one bathroom, Liquid Soap, Shampoo. Many floor tiles in living room were cracked and not safe for small kids

Nothing , only location of the apartment is good.

No communication with the property owner or his/her staffs . Inspite of several what’s app message sent and calls done to number given on bookings.com no answers for what’s app messages and not even answering the calls. Declining the calls . Only one staff is coming to give key and to tell how to keep the key outside room while checking out and same staff coming on exact time of check out to see if we have checked out or not. But during the 4 night stay no staff came to check if any service issues or concerns etc. We Stayed for 4 nights but no one came for cleaning the rooms or to discard the garbage at-least. No washing machine in the apartment. We booked apartment with 3 bedrooms but no keys for the bedrooms. No curtains for the bedroom windows.

The location was AWESOME, you can't beat it!! There are great views from all the bedrooms. We were right by the park. Lots of windows, the amount of beds were great for our party of seven. We stayed in the 2nd floor apartment. No one had to sleep on a couch. There's also a balcony (but no seating).

There's so much that was wrong. Kitchen It was all a mess. We got an apartment to be able to cook as a family of seven. We were NOT able to cook. Everything in the kitchen was DIRTY. They basically only wiped the countertop. The utensils and pots are all old and severely used, they need to be replaced!! We ended up eating out for every single meal which was SUPER expensive in Switzerland!! Stairways There was a dirty mop and vacuum that just sat in the hallway the entire time. The hallway was never cleaned. The stairways and apartment was musty whenever the doors/windows were closed. There are broken windows, curtains, shutters and broken floor tiles throughout. Old repair materials were just left in the apartment on top of a shelf. One of the lines on the clothing rack was broken and it was rusted. The TV was awkwardly mounted in the corner so it could not be rotated. Beds The pillows and sheets are cheap and REALLY OLD. There was hair all over one of the beds. There's not enough storage space despite the rooms being big. There was ONLY TWO HANGERS and one shelf inside each little closet. The curtains were old and barely attached to the cheap curtain rod. Bathroom The drain in one of the bathroom sinks didn't work properly. It drained SUPER slow. It was fine for just washing your hands. It smelled moldy in the bathrooms. The grouts were dirty. The trash can was RUSTY and could barely open. The bathroom floor towels also need to be replaced. Parking As mentioned above there was parking on site but spaces aren't assigned per apartment. There should be one spot assigned per apartment. Not having an assigned space meant trying to get back early to avoid finding street parking which were limited or having to pay to park in the garage. There was no attempt to remedy anything or even acknowledge our emails once we entered the apartment. The only contact was at check-in. Overall not worth the price for what you're getting.

Good thing he/she replied 1hr before we arrive the appartment to give instructions on how to get the keys They didn’t provide interlaken guest cards that can be used for free bus rides and several discounts There are no ventilators but big windows can be opened Some floor tiles are broken or uneven. No remote for the tv Bed sheets and kitchen utensils can be updated.

Good place for a group we have 5 bedrooms and can accomodate 2 for each except 1 solo. There's also complete kitchen so we're able to cook and the view is stunning

Overall, it was a great stay!

The location was great, close to everything. Good for larger families, allowed us to have separate bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, would recommend.

The kitchen was quite dirty when we got there, we had to purchase cleaning supplies or use what we had with us. Limited kitchen supplies, we cooked our Christmas chicken in a stainless steel pot (not that it’s a huge deal, it was delicious). Make sure you contact the host prior to checkin for the code as we wandered outside for a while. I could only use my phone with wifi so it wasn’t much good once we were there.

Convenient location and ideal for big groups.

The location is very convenient (< 1km) from Interlaken West station. The neighborhood is quiet but is very close to the center. There are great views from the room which we got in the second floor. We could see the snowy peaks of the Alps right from the window (see photos). There are several (4) bedrooms so it was really easy for a large group like us to distribute and stay. Kitchen facilities were sufficient. Clean bathrooms. We were allowed to leave our luggage for a couple of hours after check-out which really helped us. Many restaurants nearby. Interlaken OST is over 1.5 km so one might have to take a bus.

There is no lift so carrying the luggage all the to the 2nd floor was a pain. The owner could have been a bit more responsive. We had to wait >20 mins upon arrival late in the night (10pm) even though we communicated the exact time of arrival just after landing in Interlaken west station. He was also not available during check-out while we were struggling to get a cab to reach the station.

there were lots of bed bugs all across the apartment which caused severe bed bug bites on our full body. The whole apartment had bad odour. Mattresses and linens were full of bed bugs. The towels provided were very old and used

Exceptional

Penthouse was lovely, too large for us 😁 Location was very nice and reachable in minutes to all restaurants and shops. Interlaken west train station less than 10 minutes walking. Apartment was equiped with everything we needed, and kitchen was good 👍

Nothing that we didn't like, within our expectations or little more, we loved our stay.
