Apartment Italy

Mario was an excellent host 10/10. 2 adults and 3 kids, it worked perfectly well we had everything we required in the apartment: ironing, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, balcony, cutlery, hair dryer, coffee machine, kettle etc. Also we got soap, bodywash, shampoo and towels. Location is excellent, misly closer to interlaken west (8min walk) as compared to interlaken ost (15-18min walk). Interlaken ost is probably from where you would want to go to places like brienz, lauterbrunnen, grindelwald etc. But you can also take a train from west to ost or take the bus from west to ost. Uber is super expensive so best to avoid. I would suggest to walk to either. Plenty of convenience stores. Halal food around, souveneirs, travel/tourist information

Everything was great, however since our trip was during the heatwave, the apartment was not air conditioned. We had 4 beds 3 fans (later on request we got given a total of 4 fans promptly) with windows open and fans the temperature was manageable. This was the biggest concerns A minor issue, just for info, the bathroom is quite crambed, especially the shower area tub, because I think there is a boiler box (not sure) that impedes the area.

Mario was very responsive and accommodating. He made the check in and check out process very easy! Enjoyed the great location of this apartment in Interlaken and nice to have so many beds.

Location

While it says it can sleep 6 people, this apartment has been converted from a 2 person into a 6 person arrangement by converting it into a loft. As a result there is no place to sit. As you enter the apartment you enter into a very narrow hallway in which there is also a 4 person small dining table. The kitchen is a galley kitchen with bare minimum appliances and the bathroom has a bathtub but you can only use half of it as the other half is blocked by an overhead water heater. The shower curtain is old and the rings don’t slide well and water can spill over into the floor outside the tub if you are not careful. However there is no drain in the bathroom so any spilled water must be immediately dried off to prevent any damage. You have to climb 6-7 narrow steps from the narrow level to get to bedroom level where you have a full size bed and a twin bed and then another 10 steps to get to loft where there is another full bed and a twin bed. Another thing I noticed - not enough plug points. There are extension cords running in house to provide electric points near the beds. There are better apartments at lower price points.
