Family stay in Interlaken

It's just 2 stops from Interlaken ost via bus. It's had good heating so the rooms were warm as we also had a small baby. The rooms were clean and also had a small kitchen with utensils that help for baby food preparation. We also had a super market just 4 min away. Overall we had a very comfortable stay.

Avoid like the plague otherwise you will regret.

It was a 10 minute drive into Interlaken.

1. Narrow car parking - not suitable for medium sized cars 2. Very poor communication from host - slow to respond to messages - late to give the self check in details - failed to give the Interlaken guess pass for free transport. Sent several messages and booking.com also tried to contact the host with no luck. 3. Turned away when tried to check in at 3pm. Advised by cleaned to return at 4pm as properly was not ready. Not helpful when travelling with children and nowhere to go. 4. Property itself is poorly equipped for self catering:- Not enough cutlery or utensils or glasses for a family of 4. Only 2 glasses, 2 mugs and a handful of spoons. Not enough bowls. Not adequate utensils such as frying pans, no microwave, etc. 5. Lack of communication made this stay quite stressful. 6. Cold and old property. I would avoid - you will regret as I did.

Absolutely nothing

We were not let in by the owner after paying in full and had to call the police and booking who forced them to let us in or reimburse our money. After a long day of work we arrived with a baby under the rain and exhausted and nobody is there and it’s all closed. We call them an a latina woman replies in Spanish straight away while his partner is talking about political stuff Israel related by her, tell us that we are not going to get to the property as we have to pay 7 euros more (we had paid already almost 300 for a night). I told her I was in the street, under the rain, in the dark and with a baby, and to let us in and then we see if there is anything else to pay. She says “you are not coming in” I asked if she was joking, she hangs up the phone and switches it off leaving us in the cold without keys or any form of contact or anything. We had to call the police and booking who forced her to go either let us in or reimburse all our money. When we finally get in the place was incredibly dirty, most things missing, broken or not working, mold and dust everywhere, we could not even shower there. Avoid at all cost, seriously

A beautiful family-friendly accommodation,

The property had an outstanding view from it's rooms, and balcony. It was so easy to commute to nearby places using the bus and train, which is available within a few minutes of walk from the property. The house was so clean and comfortable, thank you very much.

The shower head needs to be looked at for safety reasons.

Gorgeous area.

It was roomy. We loved the balcony with the beautiful view of the Alps. The piano made for some beautiful music and a very fun perk. There was one fan which was helpful as it was hot. There was a parking spot-very helpful and convenient. It was a short walk from the river where you can take a refreshing dip. We did that in the evening and loved it.

Another fan for the second room is really needed. Access to a washing machine would be helpful as it has room for 6 people which makes for too much laundry to do by hand. Communications were not as prompt initially but the day before check in we had better communication with the property.

Rooms, bedding, pillows, Host request to check out by 10 am. Actually on booking it was 11 am. This place is good for 4 persons only. No proper sitting area. Lounge converted to 2 beds. Limited pillows availability Host reply was always late Insufficient toilet rolls.

Don't believe everything

The description of this accomodation is not true. It was expensive yet not clean and full of insects.The owner of the property doesn't response when needed. Not good services.. not recommended.

It could have been better.

The house is located in the residential area I think. It was peaceful and quiet there. The place looks stunning in the morning. It was a decent big size house for us. It has a large living room, and big enough kitchen.

We called the owner because we couldn't find the key to go into the house. But she hung up on me before I could understand her. All the quilt covers needed a proper zip. The wardrobe looks dusty, so we didnt want to put anything inside. The place looked like it needed more vacuum. There were no table towels, no tissue. We bought them ourselves and took them away when we left. There was no heater in the first bed room. The heater in the second bed room was not working. We took some heaters from the cabinet for the night. No sofa in the house, just 2 chairs and there was 1 bed in the living area and a burner to keep warm. The bathtub stopper could not hold any water, so there was no bath. The shower head was damage, so we had to hold it while we shower. There was a power trip in the house, likely we overloaded on the kitchen power socket with heaters, because we feel cold in the house. We had to call the owner to find the utility box to perform reset. I think the house needs a lot of improvement.

Warm and cosy. Easily approachable

Beautiful house, beautiful surroundings, full of amenities. Guest pass was provided.

Instructions to use the equipment were not clear which lead to malfunction. I finally ended up with paying the surcharge. A warm communication could make the experience better.

Close to interlaken ost station and harderbahn (by car). Large house with full equipment for a stay. Dedicated parking place

Except for initial communication jitters, everything else was excellent and top notch.

The location, the view was simply superb. To enjoy the alps, one needs to just sit in the balcony and relax. The property , to our surprize, was well equipped with additional 'use as needed' furnitres like high chair, child cot, ample number of towels, excellent set of kitchenette, etc. The piano gives a great look to the living room.

At first, the communication was difficult as the property manager is quite busy but then she responded well via whatsapp messages continuously. We had to clarify few aspects like guest card, key, etc explicitly. It would be great to provide some check-in instructions automatically 48 hours before check-in via booking.com messaging service.

Only the second family in the same chalet which was running washing machine all the day until late in the evening (so depend of the neighbours for it and that's change nothing that was a really great place)

Very peaceful. The balcony had a fantastic view Location is great, though you need a car to get around. If you walk til the end of road you’ll end up at the river. Great wifi The kitchen is fully equipped

It had a lovely view

It was hard to communicate the host doesn't reply. I had to get my own town towel from the tumble dryer as there isn't enough in the cupboard. We didn't get our guest card.

Dirty and poorly provisioned.

The building and views outside were pretty and the beds were comfortable.

Communication was slow and we had no instructions to get in. We were eventually helped by the guests staying downstairs. The apartment floor was very dirty, with salt spilled all over the bench and floor, indicating that it hadn't been cleaned very well, if at all. There were not enough towels or cutlery for all five of us, despite having booked for five people. I don't expect luxury if I don't pay a high price but I do expect simple basics such as clean towels and cutlery for everyone and a clean apartment. These things are acieveable in any standard of building. One of the rooms had dead bugs and dirt all over the floor, as if it hadn't been cleaned in quite a while and the kitchen cupboards had old, mouldy food jars, etc in them. I would not recommend this apartment.

The location was very good. The room was very clean and well prepared.

Every guest in Interlaken gets a guest card in return for city tax. Based on that card one can travel free within the city. We didn't get the guest card. Even one of the other guests staying there for 4 days didn't get it.

Amazing view and great location!

We really enjoyed our time in this beautiful place! The spectacular view to wake up to every morning, the mountains with the snowy peaks and the singing birds, literally heaven on earth. The location could not be more perfect, everything was so close and we enjoyed our short trips to beautiful sites in the area. The apartment is clean and very spacious, the beds are very comfortable. The heating worked well and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need. We really loved the piano in the living room 😊 I highly recommend this place, and will definitely come back!
