Our stay at The Hammer Hotel was wonderful. The weather, the staff, the food and the room....Great!

the location was the best ,the views from our room were picture perfect. we woke to the sight of Mt. Pilatus every morning. not to mention the sunsets...Wow The Restaurant meals were wonderful. Breakfast was ok. The room was lovely, a comfy bed and a small balcony.

If anything ,maybe a better breakfast. there wasn't much not to like.

Almost perfect

It's a lovely hotel, beautiful landscape, excellent staff, delicious dinner, so it's all really nice, it would be perfect, but ...

But the whole is very noisy. You can hear every little move even from the third roome of the floar and above you, every steps on the corridor and the stairs and if it'not you who is snoring like hell in the neighbour room, then you will not sleep. Breakfast does not worth it. It's not clear from the description that your private bathroom is outside of the room on the other side of the corridor

I stayed at Hotel Restaurant Hammer in Eigenthal from 18 July to 19 July 2025 for one night, and it was a memorable and peaceful experience. The hotel is set in a beautiful mountain location, surrounded by nature, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway or as a base for hiking in the Swiss countryside. The room was spacious, clean, and cozy, with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The traditional Alpine style gave it a warm and homely feel. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and made me feel right at home. I also enjoyed a delicious meal at the hotel’s restaurant, which served fresh, local dishes in a lovely setting. If you’re looking for tranquility, fresh air, and authentic Swiss hospitality, Hotel Restaurant Hammer is an excellent choice.

Peaceful and clean stay!

Great location near trails and bus route. Shared bathroom and room were well cleaned. Patio/restaurant is a nice play to relax with views out to the Alps. Would recommend if in the area!

Wonderful location with excellent service.

The location is just wonderful, however depending on which of the two routes in .. one is "Hairy" as a visitor who's not used to single mountain roads. The room we had was basic but clean with super views and our "dedicated" toilet was opposite our room door. We stayed two nights and ate there both nights. Food was faultless in the evening, however breakfast was a very "Continental" basic. Service as was nothing short of perfect, particularly from Manuel (Manager) and Stefanie and no language issues. Definitely would visit again for the location and service but value for money... Not sure, just checked into our next hotel and very much better value for money and better quality.

Choosing to stay at this hotel was no doubt one of my best vacation!!

First and the foremost, I had planned to reach luzern in the evening and could check in only late at night (around 10pm) and had informed the property beforehand, however I was worried as to how to access the hotel because there wouldn’t be anyone at the reception but the property owner had done all the preparations and made the access really easy and autonomous, there was nothing to worry about!! Secondly, the staff/manager were very polite and helpful. And the breakfast was splendid. Thirdly, the room was sparklingly clean and the view from the balcony was just speechless. Lastly, the hotel was worth it and I would like to recommend this hotel to anyone who likes nature, mountains and a peaceful ambience!!

Only one thing and that was, the hotel being a little far from the city centre and other tourist attractions, it’s 45mins by bus from the centre. And an about an hour or so by train or car to famous mountains and adventures. I write this only to give info, after all we cannot have the cake and eat it too, the hotel was totally worth staying at!!

The quality of the food served in the restaurant is excellent with a real chef in the cuisine ! The view on the moutain from the balcony is also breathtaking !

The internal soundproofing of the building is horrible... Our night was horrible as we could litterally hear everything from our neighbours until 2am & being woke up at 6...

Unique experience in the heart of the Alps

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Everything was great - clean rooms, friendly staff, fresh air, and a breathtaking beautiful mountain view. I wish I could stay longer! I will definitely go back!

The view is beautiful and the hotel is charming, with a nice terrace.

What is making the hotel so charming is also its limit. The room was simple, the beds were comfortable but the floor creaks a lot, and you will hear every move of your neighbors. There was a sink in the room and also obviously in the room next door. Hopefully your neighbors don't use it while you want to sleep. I think that the price is a bit too high, due to this problem of noise.

l'emplacement avec vue sur les montagnes, l'aspect chalet, la grande terrasse. jolies chambres avec petit balcon, il n'y avait pas de télévision dans les deux chambres louées, du vrai repos! De nombreux sentiers de randonnées, entretenus et accessibles.
