Heritage nature of the hotel. Like a very rare building preserved for humanity. A peep into olden age hospitality infrastructure.
Slightly pricey for me, particularly since the booking was not done directly with the hotel. Some colleagues could not deal.

We upgraded to. Luxury Accessible room as my wife has cerebral palsy. The room and en-suite were quite the best I have ever experienced. We were celebrating her 70th birthday so I was happy to pay for luxury and we certainly experienced it at the Old Parsonage Hotel!
The Reception team were friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful in every way (even finding a parking space for our guests when they visited us for lunch.
The Restaurant staff could not have servers better- even when hey were busy they found time to meet our neeeds.
The food in the Restaurant was amazing (not cheap bu we didn’t expect that). On two occasions we had guests to visit for a meal and they were very impressed with the quality of food.
All in all an OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE, at a pice which was not unreasonable for a special occasion.
Additional charges for service staff should be included in the main charge and not added on as an ‘extra’!

It was a lovely property with a great cozy feel.
Tremendously clean. Great location and easy to find. Pre organised parking onsite included in price of stay.
I loved everything. I have absolutely nothing negative to say.

Pleasant and helpful staff on check-in, called us when our room was ready and arranged a table in the bar for drinks with friends that evening. Also arranged a parking space in the (small) car park.
Room and bathroom were excellent; spacious, tastefully decorated and very well-appointed with everything conveniently placed for ease of use.
Lovely breakfast.
Great location in Oxford for easy access to the sites without being on top of all the tourists and students.

The room was extremely cosy and clean. So clean that you might even think your are staying in a completely new hotel. Very nice staff! Delicious home--made biscuits provided in the room. Best thing was the location: Good parking options and a few minutes walk to town

Location and facilities very good
Dinner was very slow arriving and did not come together. Certain dishes were cold and chairs and tables uncomfortable

Such a warm, comfortable, and charming old property! Great staff, fabulous food and heritage decor. Excellent location for touring the city center. It even has parking.
Its popularity filled up the dining area so be sure to reserve a table if you want indoor seating.

Loved the central location with added bonus of free car parking.
Every little detail perfect: the reserved parking space with my name on it: the tea and biscuits and fully stocked minibar: the supercomfy super king size bed: the downturn at night: the super friendly reception and staff. Will definitely stay again!
Nothing. It was all perfect.

Didn’t like walking through the dining area with our suitcases. Resolved this when leaving by using side entrance to car park.

Beautiful building. Location was great. Optional parking is wonderful, as parking in Oxford can be a nightmare. Bed was comfortable. Library was light and airy. Bar/reception felt really cosy. Clean throughout. Outside courtyard was a lovely place to have an evening drink. Staff were all polite and welcoming. Cooked options for breakfast were of good quality and portion size.
Room was a little underwhelming, for the price paid. For example the bathroom felt cramped, with a shower-in-bath. Whilst we'd expect this in a mid-price room, it felt below the usual standard of the price point we paid. We declined room turn-down in the evenings, but then came back to find it had been done. Also, we ordered two papers on the first morning, which were not delivered. We let reception know of the error, and ordered only one more for the second morning, to have two delivered. Breakfast service on our last day felt under-staffed, meaning there was a long wait for the cooked options. If I were to sum up, our feeling was that attention to detail was not at the standard you would expect for a hotel charging £700 per night.
Finally, I personally really dislike the "optional service charge" levied on top of the quoted price. I paid it, after checking it goes to the staff. Please, please, please include this in the quoted price, and pay your staff appropriately in the first instance.

Front of desk and restaurant staff very friendly and helpful, having a parking spot reserved was a nice.
You had to walk through the restaurant to get to your room with everyone eating their lunch. Room was noisy (thin walls so you could hear everything going on in the corridor). Aircon was also noisy and there was a big ball of dust on the carpet. I was told that someone would contact me about my stay but they haven't. For £400+ per night it's not worth the money!

Olivia met us at the car park, after I was a little confused about where to park - only because I have a rather long truck.
She then treated us perfectly, showing is to our room and even recommending restaurants nearby. Olivia was great

Fabulous room. Booked a classic room and were lucky enough to have a little private courtyard. Bed linen, bed, rainfall shower were lovely. Parking was easy as we'd pre-booked. Relatively good location.
We didn't book breakfast but when we went through the restaurant at breakfast time it seemed a little formal. Even though we pre-paid, on checkout we were asked if we would like to pay a service charge (we had not eaten or had a drink in the hotel) and they said it was for housekeeping tips. I felt obliged to pay (not that I was pressured at all) but feel it is worth noting. Our room had a lovely outside seating area (room 10) but it was next to staff entrance so was a little noisy. It also backs on to a church which was quite noisy late afternoon of people hanging around.

Room was excellent- modern, large, lovely amenities, and comfortable. Close to indoor restaurant & outdoor patios.
Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant.
Walking tour was so informative re history of the university, houses and architecture. Scones and tea a delicious, authentic bonus. Truly enjoyable. Much appreciated!
Menu was limited for me- a Canadian. Luckily I am not a vegetarian.
Fruit outside the room much appreciated.

Banbury road noise can be a bit annoying but there’s not much the hotel can do about that!
