Nice included breakfast and parking not too far from the hotel. Location was right in the centre.
There was black mould growing in the room and the whole room smelt musty. Carpets in the bathroom a disturbing touch. Also could not open the windows.

Location was excellent and the staff very friendly. We only had the continental breakfast which was good but a cooked breakfast was offered.

Beautiful and centrally-located old property. Very clean and lovely decor.
The gluten-free breakfast was a bit lacking and the mattress was pretty worn.

Location, close to town centre 17 century building. Friendly staff.
Our accommodation was on the top floor, the stairs were difficult to climb ,very narrow and like a turret. The bed was comfortable. There was no hanging space for clothes only two small draws. The bathroom only had a bath which was very worn with a hand held shower 🚿 . No area to park only on double yellow lines, to drop off luggage. Not suitable if you have mobility issues. Car parking is additional charge with only three spaces available further down the street.£30 per night

The breakfast was a continental breakfast with toast. The hotel is in a dinky little corner of Oxford which is actually quite handy for the shops
Room maintenance could be improved. The shaver socket was unusable and the bath taps needed labelling

For us next to our son’s college it was perfect, and why we chose it. Friendly staff, continental breakfast, lovely old building.
The carpet in the room really needs replacing, completely worn away in places, which was a surprise.

Low key, very comfortable, bed and breakfast right in the center of Oxford. Located in a historic building with clean and comfortable rooms. In room tea service is generous and includes biscuits. Complimentary continental breakfast is excellent. Good hot water and fluffy towels with heated towel rack. Friendly and helpful staff. This is second visit and will stay there again.

The hotel is a historical building located in the very centre of the city. The room is small, but central. The breakfast included is a selection of pastries and toast.
The hotel room is very small, ok for sleeping, but not much else. There is a pub next door. The pub is not a nuisance, but we had people staying adjacent to us who returned home drunk and were banging and crashing almost all night. Not the hotel's fault, but worth considering. The room had an electric shower. It was good for one person's shower, and then it was stone cold, so the second person could not shower. The room has a mini fridge, but you will need to turn this off as it is noisy and right next to the bed. The included breakfast of pastries and toast was nice, but the optional cooked breakfast was very expensive, almost £20 per person. The room was a little disappointing for the price point, but then location often trumps every other benefit.

Friendly staff, wonderful quirky old room. The whole place is full of character, but also warm and quiet. Good continental breakfast. Also central location.

Best feature of the hotel is its “bang in the centre” of Oxford. Staff very pleasant, rooms very basic but it is a period hotel and they have done the best with the asset they have available. Breakfast good and again the breakfast staff were very pleasant as were the front counter staff. For the less abled - and I’m getting there - it can be a little treacherous getting down the cobbled stoned lane to the entrance. But that is part of the charm of Oxford. I would recommend the hotel for location and ease of getting around the city.

Great location
Breakfast was supposed to be continental but was just croissants and toast

My room had its own private garden! The room was comfortable, clean, and had everything I needed. The location could not have been better - a very short walk finds Bodleian, Sheldonian, Bridge of Sighs, Radcliffe, etc! The Turf Tavern, which is a wonderful pub, is on the property. The staff was incredibly accommodating, friendly and helpful!
They also have limited parking nearby (for a fee, but when driving, that's a wonderful opportunity).

Very old. My room was on a slope. The bathroom was old and tired.

Friendly helpful staff, a hotel full of character. Wonderful location in the centre of Oxford, and parking available which was a real bonus. Contacted hotel before stay with a few queries and received quick and helpful responses.
Nothing, all good

Bijou, comfortable, nicely decorated, quiet, excellent breakfast. Only slight problem was the room, bed and en-suite were a little small but it was a standard room and the second flight of stairs quite steep.
Stairs a bit challenging but it’s an old property with lots of character.

The woman at reception was so nice and helpful. She even moved us to a better room. The breakfast was also really nice and the location just couldn't be better. I would definitely go there again.

It felt like Fawlty Towers and the location is excellent.
The way they do breakfast is confusing and difficult.

The bed was very old and uncomfortable. The shower was inadequate and needed a shower curtain or screen to prevent water from going everywhere

The location was perfect for our holiday, it allowed us to be close to the areas we wished to visit. The room was cosy and the staff/service was excellent. Perfect for admirers of vintage hotels.

Location was great, Staff super helpful. I left some small items in the room and they kindly posted them on for me.
Breakfast disappointing (some yoghurt/fruit and Granola would have been an easy addition) It was very bread heavy, whilst filling, not what I was looking forward to.

I am light eater at breakfast so for me a pot of tea and toast and a glass of juice are fine. For those wanting a more fulsome breakfast there was a fee. Feedback from those around me found the porridge and the cooked options both delicious
The small room was cleaned perfectly every day and the staff were lovely.
I stayed on the ground level. The carpet was tired and the bed was comfy but thin.
The hotel is so close to the extremely popular ‘hidden’ pub next door that the noise can be too much.

Bath Place Hotel is in a central Oxford location ideal for attending a graduation, we used the offered overnight safe parking a short walk away which was ideal for our stay, we received a warm welcome and excellent guest service, and the beds were very comfortable.
We all felt that this hotel needs a little attention to detail to make a stay memorable for the right reasons.
One of our two double rooms was next to the kitchen (which has badly creaking taps). No problem for us that it has a very uneven floor, but anyone elderly would struggle. The 'view' is of the Turf Tavern's kegging area, which is deafeningly noisy around 11.45pm, and again in the early morning. St Helen's Passage runs directly under the window, so it was hot with the secondary glazing needing to be closed to quieten the kegging noise and people's voices. The toilet flush needs attention, the extraction fan is filthy, the shower door doesn't close, and the shower was weak with poor temperature control. The bathroom fan allows pub noise to enter the bathroom which then amplifies the sound. I'd suggest a member of staff tries using this room on a Friday night - it's not fun. This room was nicely decorated, but it doesn't need the flappy bit of ruched fabric over the bed. Get rid of the shouty notices (see photos) and sort the problems!
Our other room was the 'garden room', which needs a new door and entrance gate. This room is much smaller than the wide-angle photo on the website would suggest. Details like the broken blind need correcting. Spiders, gritty shelves and the floor under the bed suggest a tad more effort on cleaning is needed, and the shower curtain makes the shower dark and a bit depressing..
'Continental breakfast' is a million miles away from being that. As I require GF, this breakfast was two small slices of toast, OJ and coffee (see my photo). No GF pastries, although the other three in our group were given a bread basket with pain au chocolat and croissants. It feels exceptionally frugal to be given a list charged per item for cereal, yoghurt, eggs, fruit, and all the other items one would expect on a continental hotel breakfast selection.
