Wonderful

Excellent location. Very close to the shops and easy walk to other sites. The bed was a bit firm, but was comfortable. Lovely bathroom and good toiletries provided. We parked at the park and ride and the bus stop was only a few minutes walk from the hotel. Very easy and a lot cheaper than parking in the city. You pay to park your car and then the bus is free, the also have plenty of electric chargers if you need those.

The modern bathrooms have a lot of glass, which doesn’t provide a huge amount of privacy.

Fabulous central location

Fantastic location, walkable to city centre, main sights, train station, cafes, restaurants etc. Staff were all excellent and very accommodating, particularly staff at breakfast who assisted my daughter who is Coeliac.

A little disappointing,basic facilities, high price

All staff were very helpful and polite. It was quiet.

We felt the hotel was not good value for money. The room was very small, we looked out to an untidy, inner courtyard type area, we didn't even open our curtains! The toiletries provided were very basic, there was only basic tea and coffee facilities and no biscuits.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Courtyard Marriott,. Staff were so helpful and friendly,

Breakfast was excellent, so much choice and variety. Added bonus of a cooked breakfast too which I was not expecting. All of it regardless of choice tasted great.

Only slight critism was the restricted menu on the bar menu. A couple more choices would have been good, maybe a burger & some fish. However the food itself again was excellent.

Air con light shon all night, breakfast wasn’t very fresh or tasty. Our room had an interlocking door which we didn’t request. We also had do not disturb on our door and the maids still walked in

I was on the ground floor in room 2. The hallway doorway was directly opposite my room and unfortunately every time people entered or even walked past, my door would shudder. This disturbed my sleep when people came back at all times of night and the way the door would shudder made me think people were trying to enter my room which wasn’t nice as a female solo traveller.

Easy to walk to from the railway station. Located in a quiet area, but very close to the town centre. The staff were very pleasant.

The self-service breakfast area was very cramped. I had to ask for a teapot as none were provided - unbelievable for a 4-star hotel in England! A disagreement between two members of staff took place in full view & within earshot of customers eating breakfast - very unprofessional.

Hotel is in a good central location. It has a roof terrace that you can take drinks up to bought from the bar downstairs.

It is the same quality as a premier inn but you’re paying for the location. I thought it was expensive to be honest . £179 per night is a lot for the standard of hotel

We booked the half board deal what we didn't realise That the evening meal was at a restaurant in town My partner has limited mobility so after a long journey that wasn't ideal, this wasn't mentioned when booking was made through booking. I love everything about the Courtyard by Marriott Oxford City Centre, from the friendly and accommodating front desk staff, to the cozy and quiet rooms, and the enticing breakfast to start my day. I stay here every time I come to Oxford!

Loved it can’t wait to return

Excellent stay. Great location, fantastic value for money! I was guest of the day and was given some compliments cookies in my room - thought this was a great touch. Dinner was served in a different venue which was really good.

Perfect for a quick visit of Oxford

Very good location next to the Heart of the University. So very central. Room was very clean and had all it needed. Staff was super nice and friendly at reception both at check in and check out. Very helpful too.

Parking - we paid 42£ for 24hr stay at the nearby Parking which is really a rip off. I suggest that the Hotel tries to strike a deal with nearby parking or private people to be able to park at more decent prices.

So-so experience after immense Easter Monday train delays!

The location was excellent, the room was decent sized and the bed was comfortable. The view of the architecture was great. The shampoo, conditioner and soap smelled excellent. The shower size and bathroom were clean. The lobby smelled great.

There was no room service for food. We had to order our dinner at the front desk and take our trays of food upstairs ourselves. I've never had to do that in any hotel in my entire life, no matter where we were traveling. There was no parking. We had to call and ask for room slippers. The coffee maker was substandard. The water bottles offered were very small so we had to call in and order more. Very few filling meal options and small portions of food compared to other Marriotts. We still have not received our bon voy card points.
