Fab hotel in a fab location.

The location was on a quiet street right next to the river and overlooking the back of the castle so very beautiful. Restaurants and shops were only one street away so very convenient.

I like using the stairs but they weren’t very welcoming. Clearly just for emergencies.

Really nice location, excellent staff and clean and comfortable rooms. Every time we stay here we enjoy it, and its close enough to the centre to make it a relaxing stay.

Brilliant hotel, would definitely recommend!

Excellent service from the staff. I noted on the booking we were travelling for a birthday, and we arrived to Prosecco, chocolate, and a birthday card in the room. The facilities were lovely and the location was amazing; overall great value for money.

The only fault was the green light on the air con panel that lit up the room during the night, so we had to cover it up. Also unfortunate that there was no on-site parking. There are 2 car parks nearby but it was very expensive. Definitely travel by public transport into the city if possible.

Unexpected views in the centre of Oxford

The team was lovely. We cannot fault them. The room and location were great, with a beautiful view of Oxford castle and its Saxon tower.

Excellent value for money and good service, you get what you pay for.

The bed was large and very comfortable, and the room felt spacious. I requested an extra blanket during my stay and it was brought to my room very quickly. Breakfast was good with a nice selection, and overall the value for the price was excellent.

Everything was very good overall. If there is few things to mention, the rooms are slightly small. There were no complimentary slippers provided, and a few areas in the room were dusty, such as behind the TV. Then, having a bit more information at check-in about what the hotel offers would have been appreciated. The scrambled eggs at breakfast were not very flavourful, pretty wet, and could have been cooked better.

Wonderful

Excellent location. Very close to the shops and easy walk to other sites. The bed was a bit firm, but was comfortable. Lovely bathroom and good toiletries provided. We parked at the park and ride and the bus stop was only a few minutes walk from the hotel. Very easy and a lot cheaper than parking in the city. You pay to park your car and then the bus is free, the also have plenty of electric chargers if you need those.

The modern bathrooms have a lot of glass, which doesn’t provide a huge amount of privacy.

Fabulous central location

Fantastic location, walkable to city centre, main sights, train station, cafes, restaurants etc. Staff were all excellent and very accommodating, particularly staff at breakfast who assisted my daughter who is Coeliac.

A little disappointing,basic facilities, high price

All staff were very helpful and polite. It was quiet.

We felt the hotel was not good value for money. The room was very small, we looked out to an untidy, inner courtyard type area, we didn't even open our curtains! The toiletries provided were very basic, there was only basic tea and coffee facilities and no biscuits.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Courtyard Marriott,. Staff were so helpful and friendly,

Breakfast was excellent, so much choice and variety. Added bonus of a cooked breakfast too which I was not expecting. All of it regardless of choice tasted great.

Only slight critism was the restricted menu on the bar menu. A couple more choices would have been good, maybe a burger & some fish. However the food itself again was excellent.

Air con light shon all night, breakfast wasn’t very fresh or tasty. Our room had an interlocking door which we didn’t request. We also had do not disturb on our door and the maids still walked in

I was on the ground floor in room 2. The hallway doorway was directly opposite my room and unfortunately every time people entered or even walked past, my door would shudder. This disturbed my sleep when people came back at all times of night and the way the door would shudder made me think people were trying to enter my room which wasn’t nice as a female solo traveller.

Could be better.

Easy to walk to from the railway station. Located in a quiet area, but very close to the town centre. The staff were very pleasant.

The self-service breakfast area was very cramped. I had to ask for a teapot as none were provided - unbelievable for a 4-star hotel in England! A disagreement between two members of staff took place in full view & within earshot of customers eating breakfast - very unprofessional.

Glass bathroom walls. Door had a gap in it. If if you put the light on through the night it illuminated the whole room
