bathroom was not satisfactorily clean

it was easy to check in. The room was comfortable. The location was convenient.

The bathroom was not well cleaned, and the shower had mould in it. The shower head in particular was dirty enough to the extent that I didn't feel comfortable using it and so I did not shower. This was quite inconvenient.

A good location and bed comfy.

Shower was full of mould. Toilet stunk. No staff available at any time. Walls paper thin - could hear person snoring in room next door. Heating went off at night so cold. Communal areas dirty.

Great stay in a clean, friendly and very spacious room

The room was on the first floor. It was comfortable and clean. The only issue once was noisey building work was going on later in the evening which was unpleasant.

Basic accommodation but prepare for the noise in the morning

The room was warm and the bed was actually very comfortable. The room is spacious although the bathroom is squeezed. The location is very central.

The bathroom is very small and everything is squeezed. It's not very clean in the bathroom, especially there were stains around the wash basin. I noticed some dark grease over the glass holder. It seems the cleaner hadn't cleaned it for quite some time. It was disappointing. I couldn't sleep at night because there was building work going on downstairs (a pharmacy) till 1am in the morning. I had to get up and asked them to stop. And then in the early morning, the delivery lorry arrived to deliver lots of goods to a department store next door. Unfortunately, this hotel is next to the warehouse of a department store. Maybe I was just unlucky to stay on a day of the delivery, but there was no way to escape the noise which was annoying and lasted for a very long time. I didn't have a good sleep, honestly.

Perfect location for the Theatre, especially if you want to meet the cast at stage door!

The location was absolutely amazing for what we needed! Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The beds were comfy and we both slept well. Everything looked very clean, we will definitely come back again.

The only thing I can say is i would have preferred a table between the beds rather than just by the side of one bed, but that's not a big issue and could easily be sorted. I read several reviews before my visit and was concerned that I had made a mistake booking here, so I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived! Anybody booking this location shound expect noise from outside, do your research before booking, and anyone saying its not value for money, check out the price of other hotels in the centre of oxford!

Clean, comfortable, brilliant location & great value.

Brilliant location right in the centre of Oxford. Very clean & spacious room. Really comfortable bed. Great to have tea & coffee supplied. There was some noise when the bins for surrounding restaurants etc were collected at around 7/7.30am each morning, but it was only brief & didn't bother me as I had to be up for work anyway. I think some noise is to be expected really in such a central location. Great value for money. Stairs are quite steep & narrow. Didn't bother me, but worth noting if you have a mobility issue.

Ensuite bathroom was clean, but had black mold stains in the shower & also frequently smelt quite drainy. I think this was because there was no window or extractor fan in the bathroom. It was definitely very clean, but would be good to improve this if possible, as it is a bit put off-putting (& surprising as the rest of the room is so nice). The TV reception wasn't great, but I didn't really need this.

Great Location, easy to find, it was possible to make the check-in in advance when we arrived.

It was not bad, but not worth the price (approx 100€ per one night). The carpet might need a refresh. The toilet could have a deeper clean, and it is a bit old. The window not easy to open. Very warm.

Convenient to conference location

Bathrooms were not designed well no place to put your toiletries. No mirror in good location. Hooks on wall were broken No attached restaurant or cafe No options for breakfast No one at the front desk most of the time Did not feel very safe if traveling solo.

Its location was great! And it was clean.

The pictures chosen for the website were of one room but did not represent the two rooms me and the couple I traveled with had. The carpet was horrible, the space was tiny, and the noise outside was notable all throughout the night.

No staff when I arrived and nobody was answering the phone

The bed was big and comfortable. The room and bathroom were tidy.

No staff were I came and they did not answer the telephone provided on Booking. By sheer luck a lady on the neighbouring cafe had a different number to one of the staff members. Also, one men from the staff just sat and watched how I struggled with a heavy suitcase without offering any help.

It was nice experience for me and my family to stay in the city center and near buses station

The hotel location is exactly in the heart of Oxford city centre, so the hotel excellent for families who likes to be in the city center for sightseeing and shopping. Also, the hotel rooms are clean and large enough compare to similar hotels rooms in London, as well as the rooms are quite.

A common problem for all or most Oxford hotels that they don't have elevator, this hotel also don't have elevator, but that expected as all the Oxford city center buildings are old and designed before the elevators.

Horrific. Just gross.

Location perfect

The bathroom had mold in it, which gave it a smell so vile that it made us gag. It was truly horrible. You had to breath through your mouth while using the bathroom to keep from vomiting. Literally.

Pretty basic stay, noisy at night, too expensive for the accommodation offered.

Pretty basic stay but in central location, very close to amenities and the train station. The downside is noise, the area is quite lively at night and equally noisy early in the morning with delivery and bin collection vehicles. The property has single glazing widows which makes it worse. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The carpet was stained, the square toilet seat on a round basin, ceiling flaking off. I found it expensive for the accommodation offered, £130/night April 2025.
