Hotel is in a good position and the staff are helpful. But, no parking, no hot water in the morning, and it was like being in the same room as the people upstairs.

Parking wasn't that simple. We had to download an app, unfortunately, but we struggled with internet access as the signal was poor at the car park. However, the reception team sorted this out for us. The car park is a short walk from the hotel. Please note that the cost is significantly reduced with the hotel code.

Staff was friendly and helpful! Excellent location for dining, sightseeing and shopping. Close to train station. Only slight negative was that the shower wasn’t very hot. I certainly would stay again.

I enjoyed a two night stay here while I saw the highlights of Oxford convenient from the bus station and also to the train station a bit of a walk into the town. Hotel is older and shows the wear, My room was quite large and quiet and very comfortable. Staff was very pleasant and I appreciated them. Texting me when my room was ready. The stairs were hard with a suitcase, which was the only real negative to this property

The first day shower was less than acceptable. Water pressure was very low. The next day was much better. Staff is helpful, friendly and courteous. Though it was a walk from city center it was still very easy to navigate.

Hotel was located an easy 5 to 10 min walk from all the shops, bars, restaurants and sight seeing attractions. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean and comfy, our room was large and bright, all very nice, great experience. There is a little cafe next door where we had a lovely breakfast.

It's a 3 level building with no elevator (lift). The conforter in the queen bed is short, not for 2 persons. You have to carry your luggage to your room, no service, no elevator :( No conditioner in shower, only shampoo. Not a good air conditioner.

The property is conveniently located to the train station, and an easy walk to the colleges. It’s got a bit of a stark look and feels like old dorms converted into rooms. Our window didn’t have a view, the bathroom was basic and a step-up from the room. The beds were high and mattresses hard. It all felt plain

Very nice location. Stayed for 2 nights with a friend. Street is quite noisy. If you are on that side of the hotel, do not leave the windows open at night! Windows + coverings did manage to drown most of it out. Loved the Lighthouse Pub just down the street - especially on Tuesday for buy one/get one tapas.

My wife and I had an excellent time at the Oxford Royal Hotel. It was our first time in Oxford and wanted a hotel close to bus and train stations. This hotel location was great for all our needs. Many restaurants were just a 5 minute walk up the street. Our bathroom was newly renovated and the beds were clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend staying here during your stay in Oxford.
