Fawlty Towers. Avoid!
The location
Unfriendly staff on arrival & departure. Room disappointing. Very overpriced. We are regular visitors to Oxford and regret booking this hotel.

A pleasant stay in a charming historic hotel with a great central location.
The location was excellent, right in the heart of Oxford and within walking distance of major attractions. The building has a charming historic character, and the room was clean and comfortable. Staff were polite and helpful during the stay.
The room was slightly small, and sound insulation could be improved, especially at night. Other than that, everything was fine.

Great location, friendly staff, sadly not as comfortable as we’d hoped
Great location, easy walk to the station and then walking distance from all the tourist attractions and things we wanted to see. Nice tea, coffee and biscuits station in the room. Staff very friendly, easy check in and out, able to leave our bags there pre check in and then delivered straight to the room
Bed was really uncomfortable to me, my husband didn’t mind too much but very hard bed and especially pregnant was even more difficult to sleep. Room was on the ground floor and from 7am on each morning could hear every door open and close and people talking as they started their days. Old building also so heard the pipes from the bathroom rattling each morning as people woke up and started using showers. Meant was quite toted for our trip as not a comfortable nights sleep and early starts to the morning due to the noise
