Stylish with history. The room was very comfortable, fabulous bedding and pillows. Great location so easy walking everywhere

Can be noisy if people sit in the garden and chat (But that's a common thing in the UK I guess)

Beautiful rooms and clever sunken construction in the lovely grounds. So comfortable. Enjoyed the part of staying in an historic building with a somewhat recent contentious story but also how the narrative and art has addressed this complexity. The coffee shop was a simple pleasant experience, and sitting outside next to the lovely wildflower garden (in spite of the dryness from the drought).

For the beauty and solid features and fittings in the room it was surprising how the neighbours' doors banging rattled through to our room. But not enough to deter a wonderful stay!

The quality of the building was excellent and historic.

There was no A/c and no television. The bed was small and the building's location was a long 25 minute walk from the train station dragging a bag was not fun. It was extremely expensive (180 Pounds a night) and not considered good value for money.
