Crowne Plaza Leeds by IHG

All staff were friendly and as helpful as they could possibly could be. However one staff member did stand out “Yasser” in Reception, who was truly unwell but was desperately trying to hide it, with the biggest smile. He was so helpful and understanding when I asked if it was possible for a “quiet” room as my son is autistic…. He gave us a great room. He was always so welcoming and easy to approach as we needed help navigating Leeds and getting advice about where to go and how

The room is clean. Mattress is comfortable. All the receptionist are nice. The swimming pool and sauna are good. Especially thank you Chipo's thoughtful arrangement. Her brilliant decorations of my room made my daughter had a memorable birthday night.

From start to finish our stay at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Leeds was 1st class, we were welcomed warmly at reception, we were treated impeccably while dining and looked after at breakfast, a truly fantastic visit thankyou all

Yasser on reception was very welcoming and helpful.

Clean room, good location and helpful staff. Breakfast buffet was replenished constantly, it can get very busy so there may be a short wait for a table however you can wait in the lobby. The leisure center is good however when we were there the hot tub was not working.

At checkin failed to pre authorise payment card, which led to confusion ordering meal. My room number was taken but one of the servers then knocked on my door for payment with a card machine! No reminder of the free canapes or drinks between 5-7pm. There was a tiny message on a sheet of paper with the menu on on the reverse side. I was charged for my meal but I would have eaten & drunk for free. Annoyed

Breakfast was fresh and tasty, the room was clean but dated and tired and the beds weren’t very comfortable.

Staff were super helpful and friendly, every one of them we met was great. Room was large but a little dated. Coat hooks and towel hooks were not provided. The pool was lovely though the changing area was a little worn out. Overall a great stay thanks to the super staff

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room had drink stains on the wall and dusty skirting boards. Behind the bathroom door needed more attention when cleaning. All the pillows were very lumpy and the bed quite hard, slept ok. But everything else was really good. Very kindly, a later check out of 12pm was allowed, my daughter and I wanted to shop in Leeds. Breakfast was excellent! Well stocked, staff were efficient with tidying tables and quick turn around time for cooked food.

The check in was very slow and there was a long queue of people waiting in. The 2 members of staff onthe desks clearly had a long list of questions which they were told to ask- is this your first visit to Leeds ? what is the purpose of your visit ? etc etc. The check in for each customer therefore took a long time at the busiest time of day, late afternoon. It would make sense to introduce a far swifter system in the peak hours of arrivals.

Had a lovely night in the Crowne Plaza with family and friends, shopping swimming and relaxation

The only thing that let the stay down was the check in. There weren’t enough staff for the amount of people queuing and one of the two staff present didn’t seem to know what they were doing. The bar staff were very helpful and efficient as were the breakfast team. All in all a very good visit and will definitely stay again.

Ideally situated just a short stroll to the shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel is beautiful. I got an upgrade to a suite, such a treat, it was just a shame that I didn’t have more time to make the most of it. I’ll definitely return next time I’m up in Leeds.

Staff were without exception welcoming, courteous and helpful in the extreme. They spared no effort to assist with any query we had or request we made. They were admirably customer-focused , and clearly take great pride in providing guests with a first rate experience.Reception and bar / restaurant staff were excellent ambassadors for the hotel and the Crowne Plaza brand. The breakfast service was first class and very well managed. Overall, the hotel’s facilities were very good. We particularly liked the WiFi, the outside terrace adjacent to the restaurant, the car park and the swimming pool. The pool , however. is less accessible than we had hoped and understood it to be. It does not have a hand rail at the steps which makes it very difficult for someone with restricted mobility to enter the water without considerable support from two or even three other people. Our son is disabled, cannot walk unaided and he needed me, my wife and his sister to assist him into the pool . Once in the water, he had a great time. An appropriate adaptation would be valued by families like mine. Aside from that challenge, we had a wonderful stay due in large measure to an outstanding staff team. Lauren at Reception could not have been more helpful and we greatly appreciated the arrangements she made to provide us with two adjacent rooms which were better and more suitable , given my disabled son’s needs, than the rooms originally booked.

The welcome was really good, nice and easy parking. Restaurant was good for evening meal and breakfast.

The sink in my bathroom was badly cracked & I feel unhygienic . No tea bags available in my bedroom except peppermint so I took some from the breakfast bar downstairs. Everything else was fine in fairness

Staff excellent, breakfast wide selection, pool sauna and steam room! All worth the price will 100%stay here again and recommend to anyone wanting a good quality stay Leeds I left some items behind by accident and they have been very helpfull arranging it back to me 10/10
