A good location for a visit to Leeds city centre

Nice but noisy

Nice bar, friendly welcoming staff, clean bathroom.

Noise from the street. Yes it was a Saturday night in a city centre but we were still awake unable to sleep at 5am.

Hotel is good such a shame about the other residents.

The noise from other rooms. Very loud from the room opposite with far too many people coming in and out of their room. Kept me up most of the evening.

Good Quality Hotel conveniently situated.

Good position , good parking nearby. Bedrooms, beds and fixtures very comfortable. Staff friendly.

No slope off the street to pull suitcase down. There was a wheelchair lift but when there are many people checking in it takes too long . Very expensive drinks and snacks/ food.

Room was freezing! Mentioned it to the receptionist once, someone came in and said it’s fixed, it was still cold, had to sleep in the cold.. called in the morning, still didn’t fix the central heating, was given a very poor working heater.. basically I wouldn’t return.

Great staff and value for money.

Staff were lovely on check in/out and in the bar and restaurant. Lovely cocktails and service. Breakfast was fantastic. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Food quality and service was great. Lovely choices. The room was excellent value for money. Lovely drink selection and shampoo/shower gel in the bathroom was useful. Temperature was good in the room, nice and clean.

The cold tap in the bathroom was hideously noisy. Towel radiator didnt heat up. The bed wasnt the most comfy as the mattress had a slight dip. We had requested a high room with a good view. We were put on the first floor in the smallest room (according to the fire exit map layout) and had zero view. Having stayed in the York Malmaison previously i think that spoilt us and our expectations. Being woken just after 5am by the bin collection outside couldve been avoided if we were in a different room.

Magnificent breakfast and lovely hotel

Beautiful, spacious room with a really comfy bed and good facilities. Tremendous location a short walk from the station and in the centre of town. As good a hotel breakfast as I've ever had.

Room was filthy covered in spider webs left at 23.00 booked another room at the hilton, and was looked after fantastically!

Lacks detail in some areas. Not the premium product the price would suggest.

Comfortable beds in well proportioned room. Wide range of breakfast foods.

Toilet door mdf had suffered flood and still had swollen base. Toilet roll holder overlapped toilet seat. It was impossible to sit straight and the toilet roll was inevitably dislodged at each visit. Seems a poor oversight for a premium priced hotel. Staff levels and a few attentiveness are much below that you would expect at a premium priced hotel.

The bathroom. For a Club deluxe room the bathroom was somewhat disappointing, with a regular size domestic bathtub and a fixed over head show that didn't have a hand-held option. I would have expected a little more for the money.

Christmas shopping trip to Leeds

Room was very nice. It was clean and the decor was lovely. It was quite dark.

I think brighter lighting especially at the entrance where the wardrobes were. Maybe a magnifying mirror in the bathroom as you stood quite away from the mirror due to the vanity unit for applying make up etc. But that is just personal preference

It was a lovely hotel but not worth what we paid due to service and maintenance issues.

Location and decor were good. Breakfast was excellent.

First room had a broken heating system so we were moved and second room had a broken light over the dressing table. Bar service was very slow.

Bar was very dark in an evening. Bacon and black pudding very dry. Eggs and avocado contained coriander not mentioned in menu. I hate coriander.

Booking.com did not have any negative reviews so I booked it and was non refundable, when I later checked reviews on Malmaisson, lots of reviews said room are very tired worn looking!

The bathroom is in need of an update. I should have checked the bathroom facility. I do not like over the bath showers. The bath was stained, the shower door over bath wouldn’t shut properly so I got floor wet.

only thing was the heating did not go high enough the guy explained to us that it was capped at 25 which for us was chilly and we went in the middle of storm Amy so could of done to be a bit warmer

Location

Under staffed. Queue of 6 people at check in. One staff member. Breakfast had one poor person running around trying to serve everyone. In the room, the Shower faucet ceased on scolding hot. Thoroughly dangerous and I cannot work out how the cleaner of the room didn’t report this. The television in the room was faulty and kept buzzing and cracking. Walls so thin I could hear the neighbouring rooms bathroom activity in full. I had a poor experience with this hotel a year or so ago and thought I’d give them another chance. But this is far from a premium hotel experience as you would expect from the brand.
