Beautiful hotel but rooms were sparse with furniture not suitable for one than one night staysgreat if you’re there more

Location was excellent, rooms were huge! Beautiful big comfy luxurious bed. The room was nice a quiet considering we were facing out to the front of the hotel.

The wardrobe we had between us was quite literally the broom cupboard so we had little or no space to hang our clothes! Neither were there any drawers available! Very disappointing considering the size of the room, there was plenty of space for both!

Great location, but cracks are forming

We always stay here when visiting Leeds, the location is amazing, super central. The decor is also very nice, however the room we had this time was starting to show signs of aging

The room had a leak from the shower and was beginning to look a bit bashed about, there was also a data leak which lead to several attempts to scam me, through text messages, emails and phone calls. Unfortunately the hotel didn’t compensate this, which I thought was a bit of a shame

Comfortable, relaxed and extremely convenient to all amenities.

Location was perfect for our visit and the freedom and comfort of the spacious central lounge offered time to relax. The staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. The breakfast room staff were especially kind and attentive.

The window in our room needed attention, due to age and the fact it had a metal frame. It didn't cause us problems, just the appearance was unsightly.

Not worth the value

The location was good

Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I interacted with multiple staff members, and they were consistently rude and unhelpful. Simple requests weren’t addressed, at one point, they couldn’t even provide an extra blanket. Overall, the service and experience felt closer to a 2-star stay, and it definitely wasn’t worth the price.

Lovely hotel but in need of a little tlc.

Location is great and has its own entrance from the train station. The staff are friendly. The room was very quiet and the shower was powerful.

Although the art deco theme is lovely it is looking a little tired in places, for example the tables in the bar and the floor in our room were scuffed. The pillows were a little lumpy. This didn’t spoil our stay however. (The room shown is a superior king with city view)

Although the bar/restaurant are I believe not part of the hotel, the drinks availability was very poor, seem to have run out of the most popular gins and cocktail ingredients, 2nd year this has happened

Lovely stay at The Queen's

Recently stayed for one night at The Queen’s Hotel and had a very pleasant experience. The room was incredibly clean and felt very cosy, offering all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. Super comfortable bed and plush pillows! Lovely Art Deco blended with modern design gives a light and airy feel overall, and the photographs on the corridor walls are a wonderful touch looking back at the history of Leeds. The location is excellent- right next to the train station and City Square. The staff are super sweet - genuinely friendly and welcoming. Overall, a lovely stay and I would certainly return!

My only suggestions for improvement would be the window seals need some maintenance as there was a slight draught during the night, and perhaps adding some shelving to the small wardrobes to maximise the storage space.

Friendly reception, beautiful hotel and location

The app didn’t work to tell us when digital keys ready and avoid need for check in. We wandered around Leeds but finally went to hotel at 4 to be told it wasn’t working. Cleaner knocking on door at 10.05am to clean room when check out only at 11. My partner has a stoma and needed as late a check out as possible.

Ideal location for shopping the hotel has been refurbished since I was last here and it was fabulous. The breakfast was hot and plentiful, very tasty too.

Dirty room

Upon arrival, we were impressed by the beautiful entrance, Christmas trees, and elegant décor. However, this positive first impression quickly faded once we reached our room. The room was not cleaned to an acceptable standard; the bathroom in particular was dusty, and there were visible toothpaste stains on the bath panel. This was disappointing and far below the standard we anticipated. Additionally, we were disturbed by loud building works beginning at 7:30am. We had chosen to stay with you specifically to rest and recuperate after a very difficult week, but the early morning noise made this impossible and significantly impacted the relaxing stay we had hoped for. We also felt let down by the breakfast arrangements. The dining area was cramped and overcrowded, and the tables were placed so closely together that it made the experience very uncomfortable. We were seated so near to other guests that we could hear them chewing, which is not something anyone expects or wants while trying to enjoy a meal. Even more disappointing was the lack of an option to have breakfast in our room. Given how upset we are at the moment, we were hoping to avoid a busy buffet-style setting altogether and would have greatly appreciated the privacy and calm of eating in our own room. Overall, while the hotel’s entrance and festive decorations create a luxurious impression, this unfortunately does not make up for the basic and unclean room conditions or the disruptions during our stay. We wanted to bring these issues to your attention, as we believe all guests should be able to enjoy a comfortable and restful experience.

Everyone and everything couldn't be better.

Breakfast was good and plenty of choices. The staff are lovely and friendly. The next time we go to a concert in Leeds Arena we will be back. We have stayed there before and think it's excellent.

Reception staff could have been more helpful on arrival. The new nine check had just been launched, the app was very slow and we had to be given a card key. There was no explanation of available facilities, restaurant and bar, breakfast times. If app had worked we were not told to collect a card outside the lift to switch on lights.

It was good but just didn't live up to the fabulous in reviews i expected!!

I loved the central location and staff were friendly but maybe a little better communication needed between them.

Room was a bit small which felt a little cramped a times. Breakfast was a little disappointing for someone who doesn't eat cooked/fried breakfast. No porridge or omelette available and to have anything different there was a charge which left just toast, fruit, yoghurt, muffins or cereal. No room service available and kitchen closes after 9pm - which arriving late was a total surprise as we expected to get a least a sandwich. Staff directed us to facilities in Train Station. Advised that toiletries were provided so didn't pack any but had to ask for them at reception.(perhaps this needs to be clearly outlined that you have to ask).

Happy with stay, would return, not quite like Home Alone 2.

It was very grand upon arrival, I’d always thought of this hotel like Home Alone 2, so was impressed by the interior matching the exterior. The hotel bar, even when quiet, had a good atmosphere.

The shower was a little iffy and with poor pressure, the request to download an app for your checking only for this not to work and that you needed to get your keycard gym activated to use those facilities.

Friendly and welcoming

First of all, what a brilliant location! I appreciated the friendly welcome from the reception staff, in fact all the staff I met were friendly and helpful. My room was clean and looked freshly decorated and the bed (and bedding) were really comfortable. I also particularly liked the fact that the curtains properly blocked the light. I slept well. Finally, breakfast was excellent. Restaurant was busy but well staffed and no delays. There was a great variety of freshly prepared food.

The only thing that I didn’t like was the view from my window but fully realise that there isn’t a lot that can be done to improve that.
