Radisson Blu Hotel, Leeds City Centre

Lovely room, great lication

We arrived around 2pm to be told our room wasn’t ready and to come back at 3pm. We decided to have a drink in the bar whilst we waited. At 3pm we went to see if our room was ready but there was a large queue at reception which we stood in for 30 minutes to then be told that our room was still not ready. After voicing our concerns we were told that we would just have to wait. I asked if someone could come and get us when the room was ready. After another 40 minutes no one had came so I went back to reception and asked to speak to the manager. Surprise surprise our room miraculously appeared to be ready yet no one informed us. No apology from staff, no offer of at least a drink whilst we waited and no offer of a discount. We finally got our room around 16.40. Not good enough!!!.

PARKING. extremely disappointed to learn the 30% parking discount is only applicable if you book online - even then the car park is extortionate. Would not book again because of this. You should make clearer you have no reasonable parking - very misleading.

Great city centre location, spacious rooms, decent hairdryer, nice and quiet, the room was generally clean (apart from all of the dust).

The TV had no signal for the whole of our 3 day stay - staff did not offer any compensation. The room was clean but very dusty - the telephone in the bathroom (!) was thick with dust and were the corners of the walls. It's obviously been a nice hotel in days gone by, but it's just very old and in need of a refurb.
