Hayy Luxury Apartment in Leeds City Centre

It was clean and spacious, all the amenities were nice. I had no complaints about the apartment. It was really nice.

The process of getting the keys wasn’t the easiest. It was complex and confusing.

Cleaning

Remote of the TV was not working.

After booking, the host demanded an additional security deposit that was not clearly presented as a mandatory cost at the time of booking. This charge was hidden within the house rules rather than being made financially clear upfront. Access information for the property was withheld until this extra payment was made. Once the payment was taken and access was finally provided, communication from the host stopped. Attempts to get help or support were unsuccessful, leaving us without assistance after moving in. On entering the property, the cleanliness was unacceptable. The floors were dirty and had not been hoovered or mopped. Furniture was chipped and flaking, upholstery was stained, and the overall condition was far below the standard expected of a property advertised as luxury. The apartment was advertised as having kitchen facilities, however it was not possible to cook. We brought food intending to prepare meals, but there was insufficient usable cookware or basic equipment. Items that were present were not clean. A cupboard inside the apartment was labelled “under repair, door is broken”, showing known maintenance issues were present during guest use. The bathroom also appeared to be used for storage, with large plastic boxes stacked inside. The host also attempted to move communication off the Booking.com platform. After payment was made, communication became inconsistent and then ceased altogether. This experience raised serious concerns about transparency, guest access, cleanliness, and host conduct. I would not recommend this listing.

The location was excellent

I didn’t like that the location wasn’t clean, and also the warm water was half way my shower not working.

The window in the main room was broken and I emailed to advise but didn’t hear back.

The location of the property was excellent, in city centre walking distance to everything including the train station. The apartment is located in a secure building. Communication from hosts was excellent.

I would recommend for two people, it was a bit squishy with three and the sofa bed was not particularly comfortable. We had to pay a security deposit which was fine but i was unaware of this and didn’t see messages until we were almost arriving - would have been good to know this earlier or paid it during booking.

Great location. Good sized apartment. Easy check in. Plenty of towels and bedding.

Apartment seems half built. Windows desperately need replacing. Dangerous and difficult to shut. Blinds are made of thin paper so don't block light. Also not soundproof at all. Could hear talking from street level. Next to a club with outdoor seating that's open till 2am. Hole in ceiling inside front door with water dripping. Certainly not luxury currently.

Wonderful location

One window once open can’t close properly leaking cold air and noise. And the key pick up process is utterly appalling.

Lovely, modern apartment, spacious and comfortable, and beautifully presented with plenty of amenities. An unexpected bonus was that things like handwash, shampoo & shower gel etc. were provided. It was clean and warm on arrival, which was hugely appreciated. The location was excellent for City Centre shops, restaurants, and sight-seeing. Overall, it was excellent value for money and I would definitely recommend / stay again.

I had one small issue with key collection, in that the shopkeeper didn't give me the correct tag first time. However, I contacted the property owner and he helped to resolve this very quickly, which was both reassuring and appreciated!

The facility was really clean. The kitchen had all the required stuff to make ones stay good. The location is fantastic - everything you need is just around the corner.

Wasn’t very clean and no quilt covers on the sofa beds and mattress !! The duvets for both sofa beds are badly stained and without no covers on them was gross to sleep with. Messaged property with no apology… also not very clean crumbs all over the floor near fridge. Shame as the apartment is rather nice.

Clean, spacious, well equipped, very good value for money, good location.

The nightclub is very noisy. Be prepared and take ear plugs.

- There were some people in the apartment building smoking which left a strong smell which was a little off putting but everything else was great.

The location was good. The doorman was an absolute credit to the place and helped us best he could, and the man in the corner shop, although not related to the hotel was like a angel with how much he helped us

The check in process was painful to say the least, it took almost two hours, multiple phone calls and multiple trips to a corner shop to get the keys, only find the apartment in an absolute state, leftover takeaway bags on the floor, stains on the bed and in descript black/brown muck on the towels. They then switched our room, which was better but evidently still not clean, with bloody plasters in the bin, hairs in the shower, a hole in the wall and damp stains on the floor but we counted our blessing the bedding was clean and to avoid even more hassle took the room. The customer service lines were disjointed, with conversations with call centres in Pakistan London and the Philippines, to the point we thought we were being scammed, especially when the operative started sending WhatsApp messages from a third number that simply came up as Remote Solutions. I feel like they were trying to do the best they could but the whole operation was a mess with no communication between them at all. Speaking to the guy in the corner shop where we collected the keys he said this seems to happen about 70% of the time and was not surprised at all. Would NOT recommend and will be asking for at least a partial refund for the inconvenience and the poor housekeeping considering the price.

The location is excellent although because there are a little of bars and restaurants it can be very loud at night

The key collection possessions awful, firstly I wasn't send the security code for the keys until 5.30pm and check in was supposed to be 3pm. Then when I tried to collect the keys at the convenience store I couldn't get parked, then the 2 Codes that i was sent eventually didn't work and I then had to go to the apartment and meet someone to collect the keys. On drop off I went back to the convenience store to drop the keys and theh wouldn't take them so had to go back to the apartment and leave them thre. The whole process is extremely stressful and awkward. The apartment was supposed to have a hairdryer it didn't. The bottles of shampoo, conditioner ans shower gel were all empty. No tea or coffee either

The location was right in the heart of Leeds city centre, it was well equipped and furnished nicely. The management staff were good when I contacted them via email and phone.

If I am being honest, the building is unfinished, only one lift working out of two and hallways are still to be completed. The apartments were a good size but had not been thoroughly cleaned. There was bleach in one of the hand-wash containers in the bathroom washbasin. This could have been dangerous if used by a child. There were bedside lamps in rooms but no plug sockets next to the bed to power them.

Location to the centre lots of pubs shops and resteraunts. Leeds arena.just a short walk away.

Minor damage before i checked in.due to last person who stay there.was put right when i reported it.changrd the l9ck on the door new key given to me.still clock didnt work even though i did get some more batteries but stll did not work.i reported for someone to repair it was not working even when i checked in to the apartment.and table and chairs repaired.thank you.as i stated due to the last guest.i wont be charged i just notified that repairs needed to be done.many thanks to the manage.ent and maimtainance staff.

Sofa bed was unusable ,TV didn’t work and we had real problem getting the keys as the tiny shop wouldn’t give us the key the number we had for the apartment we rang and member of staff had no clue of the process to get the keys

Good location Lift to room

No window in bedroom and not mentioned in flat details. No bedding for the sofa bed despite being booked for three people. No hot water in the morning for showers. Only one window opened and only by a couple of inches so very stuffy. Sofa bed uncomfortable. Pillows incredibly hard. No left luggage facilities. Had to get the key from a shop a 10 minute walk away. Owners have not acknowledged or responded to our complaints.

Although the location was central, this property has been advertised poorly. No toiletries, broken fan, dirty dishes in dishwasher, Loud & noisy, unsteady faulty shaky chairs and table, only 1 roll of toilet paper, no paper towels and broken TV remote control were among the many disappointments. The management staff kept apologizing but did not replenish or rectify anything.

See above. We will never stay there or recommend it to anyone. Outside entranceway was filthy. We were told the housekeeper would bring shampoo and bath items the next day but that did not happen as apparently the housekeeper did not have a key???

Location is amazing, you can walk down to any part of the city in 10 min . The apartment looks fresh , kitchen with all utilities, 2 bedrooms with 2 toilets was great . The space in living room is quite generous. Very comfortable .

The main entry ,you can’t access from the front as there is bus lane. It’s a struggle to find the main entry as Google also shows drop location on side road . There are 2 flights of staircase to reach the lift from main entry (there is also a disabled entry on lower floor : but it’s very untidy and it’s access is from the back of building) . The building common area upkeep , lights etc is all needs and upgrade. Pillows in bed rooms are huge.

it was very hot during our stay which I appreciate is unusual for Leeds - the initial room we were put in was too hot to stay - we were moved twice over a two night stay
