Bed bugs

Great location

I ended up at the hospital a few days after my stay with infected bed bug bits. The room didnt feel clean b ut I didnt expect that

Great budget accomodation.

Liked the cleanliness of the room and the neatness of it, plus the staff were so helpful and friendly, plus the tea and coffee. Good facilities. Would highly recommend, very good room rates. Plus close to leeds train station, enjoyed our stay here, will come again.

Wet, central, warm and cosy.

The location was very central; it was clean; it was quiet; only a stones throw from the station and breakfast if you wanted it.

A poor nights sleep.

I didn’t have breakfast.

A fire alarm went off at 2am. No direction was given by staff as to when it was safe to return to my room. Upon returning to my room, other guests on the floors near me were screaming and shouting until 4am. In the morning when I went to the shower room I discovered the shower head didn’t work so I had to take a bath instead.

The location is amazing. Rooms are a good size.

The walls are paper thin. Was woke at 2am to the couple next door talking and playing music until 4am. Not impressed at paying for bag storage given the room prices are not cheap - should be complimentary.

The discovery is always very clean, the staff are always lovely, helpful and polite, the room was spacious with drinking facilities - tea/coffee/milk/kettle. The hotel is directly opposite the train station.

There wasn't anything to dislike although the walk to the room can be quite a distance but it isn't a problem.

One night in Leeds.

Staff very friendly lovely warm hotel. Didn't stay for food. The only downside with the hotel it really needs a face-lift. Location brilliant.

My husband woke with a bad back. Noisey people running up corridors. Shower screen needs a dam good clean.

Good location close to train station bars and restaurants

Close to shops and the train station. In centre of city bars and restaurants.

Cold bathroom no heating in bathroom didn’t shower while we were there as it was too cold to take clothes off. Barrel delivery at 6.57am carried on for approx 50 minutes woke us and then when we git back to sleep. We overslept! People banging doors etc and coming back late at night and we could hear their conversations carrying on until 1am !

Good price, but don’t expect luxury.

Location was amazing. Price was amazing too. The bathroom was spacious. The room had coffees and teas.

It smells strongly of smoke in the corridors despite being a non-smoking hotel. I was woken up up twice by the nightclubs outside which were so close and loud that the bed wall vibrated. Not really the hotel’s fault but some sort of sound proofing would help. The shower was rubbish, the water came out in a trickle and made it harder to use than we’d have expected. That being said, soaps were provided. Even if they had no labels or explanations, you could take an easy guess which was hand soap and which was shower gel.

The heating was not on when we arrived and it was a cold wet day. Breakfast was only continental, no warm food.

Disappointing Stay

The location was perfect, not far from local amenities and train station.

The rooms advertised looked nothing like the pictures, carpets in the room are lifted, toilet wasn't secure and felt like you was going to fall off it everytime. General cleanliness wasn't great at all. Breakfast wasn't worth the money at all.

There were 4 people in the room but only 3 mugs and 3 towels. Dates rooms, could do with being updated. Not many plugs to use to charge phones. Very hot room. Could do with more hooks or hanging rail in entrance room.

No thrills value business stay

The location accross from Leeds Station is perfect for work travellers. There is easy access at night and the staff is helpful. The free wifi is pretty robust. This is by far the cheapest central hotel.

Not so great is the confusing layout with the 7th floor being on the 3rd floor. The rooms should just be renumbered in this regard. The toilet in my bathroom was dripping at night which was kind of annoying.

Provided basic comforts with superb staff and ideal location.

I didn’t partake in the breakfast but found the staff friendly, professional and helpful. The bed was comfortable as well. Can’t say enough about the location, so central to everything and being a Leeds United fan, having the Moot Hall Arms right across the street was awesome!

I wasn’t impressed with the shower pressure and the toilet sometimes required multiple flushes but I would still stay again!

The staff were lovely and super helpful. Location was super central and everything was just a few minutes walk away.

The facilities were old/ worn down and a bit dirty. Poor water pressure in the shower and even a broken flush button. Hotel could use a renovation. Bed was not comfortable.

Very close to the station and city center. Expectionally friendly hosts. Wonderful cleaning staff. Room is not new but clean and spacious.

No refrigerator (but TESCO express is nearby). Only one soap for both body and hair.
