Highlight of our trip to France

We had the most amazing 3 day stay with Cedric and Ombeline. Their breakfast each morning was a highlight of our several week trip to France—so much of it fresh from their garden (I particularly loved their homemade yogurt and homemade jams). They were kind and attentive to every need. They have carefully thought through and provided for the needs of their guests. The room was immaculate and the bed so comfortable. We will come back for sure!

A perfect place to relax in the Loire Valley

My wife and I had an exceptional stay! This was our favorite place that we stayed during out two weeks in France. We would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay during your trip. The owners were very gracious and friendly to us during our stay, and we enjoyed getting to know them. The breakfast was amazing, and we looked forward to it each day. This place allows you to enjoy a more peaceful and scenic setting, while still being an easy short drive away from the center of Amboise. We hope to come back one day!

Beautiful accommodation

Modern clean room, linen bedsheets, fluffy towels, excellent breakfast and a warm welcome from the host. Amboise is very beautiful and close by with good restaurants, a castle and other tourism spots. There are also a few magnificent Chateau nearby. Well worth staying more than a few nights.

A lovely B&B for adventures along the Loire

It's a lovely bed and breakfast with a large, comfortable room, and the location is excellent for visiting Loire chateaux. We also greatly appreciated the excellent local wines that they had available for purchase on site.

The only very minor thing was the toilet without a hand washing sink in a separate room on the opposite side of the bedroom from the bathroom.

Wonderful .

MAISON CHEMIN What a great place! Cédric and his family run a very charming property. All the bedrooms and commun areas are brand new, very Confortable and clean. In the bedrooms, the bed is like heaven and we find some sweet kindness, as a teapot with some Herbs harvested in the garden. The bathroom is huge with soft and big towels. The breakfast is very good, whose high point is the rose homemade yogurt. The guest can use the kitchen (complete with all you can possible imagine) to cook. Besides the house itself is very charming and comfy, they have installed a few days ago a swimming pool, which is very welcoming in the summer hot days. And finally Cedric’s family is very kind and helpful. All these make a stay in Maison Chemin a great experience for those who want to explore the Loire Valley.

Perfect french countryside minutes from Amboise

Chemin was perfect - beyond perfect. A handful of impeccably decorated and renovated rooms in several buildings that date to the 1600s. Thoughtful touches like tables inside and out to sit and have a bite of food and wine, wine stocked from local wineries all impecible and well priced you can buy with no mark-up, amazing breakfast with lots of homemade yogurt, jams, tea. Ombeline and Cedric were super kind, and have clearly put a ton of love into the spaces. Highly recommend!!

The property fulfilled by dream of staying at an inn in the French countryside. Accommodations were perfect from arrival to departure and the hosts were very attentive to all details. The morning breakfasts were exceptional!!

French charm and great experience with wonderful breakfast! We were so pleased with healthy breakfast and homemade preserves, yogurt, and applesauce by Oberline and Cedric. Rooms were extremely comfortable, very clean, great French decor with updated styles. Cedric had great information to help with tours and places to eat which was very helpful!

Comfy bed and breakfast! Just in the outskirts of Amboise so it's a short drive into town if you have a car so location is good if you have transportation. Tasty breakfast provided, with homemade food made by the proprietress. Room was very clean with cute decor.

We loved staying French Country home.

Bright, clean, beautifully decorated bedroom and bathroom. The shower was lovely. The bed was comfortable. The shared area had a new, modern kitchen that we could use. Every morning, Ombeline served us a lovely breakfast with eggs made to order, a variety of breads, homemade applesauce or fruit salad, yogurt and a baked good. Ombeline and Cedric were both warm, friendly, welcoming hosts.

Maison Chemin was perfection. the room was beautiful, clean and cosy. Staff were lovely, the grounds and gardens were beautiful and an easy short drive into town breakfast was awesome, local produce with home made jams, cakes, yoghurt, fruit salad and more.

Perfect stay at Amboise

This place is ideal. The place is extremely beautiful, very well located, and easy to get in and out of. The breakfast is unbeatable; several things are made on-site (the banana bread, jam, and yogurt are all made there). Cédric and Ombeline are extremely friendly and make you feel right at home. The room is beautifully decorated and comfortable. Don't hesitate, book here if you want to stay in a great place in Amboise.

Maison Chemin offers perfect accomodations for Amboise and the surrounding area. A must stay!

Located just on outskirts of Amboise (we easily reached it by bicycle from city center), Maison Chemin was a beautiful, well-appointed, and peaceful place for our family of five to stay. I wish I could have taken the beds and the linen bed clothes home with me. Cedric and Ombeline were the warmest, loveliest of hosts, and helpful in every way. Breakfast included house made preserves and yogurt (we had the choice of one infused with rose geranium), home baked treats, breads, local cheeses, and eggs and coffee to order. Nothing was lacking. A careful and very accessible selection of locally produced wines was available to guests to purchase at cost. The kids enjoyed using the pool table in the common/breakfast room and racing their bikes around the circular driveway. Not only would we recommend this chambres d’hôtes without hesitation, our experience was delightful enough that it could easily serve as our excuse to return again to the area.

It would have been better if we could have stayed longer, or maybe just moved in :-)

Wonderful stay and would definitely go back if we are in the area

Cédric and Amboline were so kind and hospitable. Amboline provided delicious breakfast with homemade jams. We had access to a communal kitchen so my husband and I made dinner and ate outside. They have a nice garden. I also liked the soap they provided. We met some nice people from London and Washington DC.

When we arrived we rang the bell outside several times before someone answered. We weren’t provided a phone number to call. The code to the gate provided on the reservation did not work. We did arrive 15-20 minutes earlier than the check in time so it’s not their fault. It would have been nice if the reservation provided a number to call in case of issues. Calling Priceline 800 number was q waste of time. I had to go wait on hold for so long.

The old world charm of the exterior with all 21st century conveniences. Family run, absolutely charming hosts and a lovely family. Felt very secure and had access to facilities that were not mentioned in the description.

Beautiful location on outskirts of residential area of Amboise 15-20 minute walk into Amboise. Lovely garden and surrounding fields .Quiet , peaceful with courtyard to sit in. Beautifully decorated bedrooms with large comfy beds , spacious en suites . Wonderful breakfast room/ relaxation area with snooker table and books. KItchen area with use of sink , kettle, microwave. Lovely hosts, happy to provide advice and information about activities and facilities locally. Wonderful breakfasts

Exceptional

This was a lovely bed and breakfast. The room was clean and thoughtfully laid out. The bathroom was nicely equipped and had a lot of room. The breakfast was fantastic with eggs cooked to order, homemade yogurt and preserves. The hosts had wine from local wineries available for purchase. The kitchen was available to the guests to cook a meal. We could not have asked for a better place to stay while in Amboise. We hope to travel back soon.

The only challenge is that the location was a little hard to fine when we first arrived. Remember to go to the intercom at the gate to announce your arrival. I don't think a very late arrival would be easy.

Friendly, comfortable and beautiful stay in Amboise

The house is gorgeous and the hosts are super welcoming and adorable. The room we stayed in was beautifully decorated. The outdoor space as well as the shared living room and kitchen are exactly what we needed. The hosts also had wine in the fridge which we could purchase for our apéro which we had in the garden. Highly recommend this place for your stay in Amboise!
