Best hotel in Amboise!

This hotel is an absolute gem located in the center of town. Guillaume at the front desk was friendly and helpful every day and I was so happy with every single aspect of our 4 day stay. The room was roomy and well appointed, the breakfast was perfect and literally I cannot recommend it enough.

Elegant small private hotel located in centre of Amboise with car parking. Conveniently located for restaurants and walking distance to Leonardo Davinci's chateau.

Elegance, comfort and the Loire

The location was perfect! This property is within a short walk to everything Amboise has to offer. The bonus is that there is a wonderful courtyard, off the main streets, which makes it very quiet and dark for good sleeping conditions. The breakfast room is so very pleasant. Adding to the pampered "feel," real china and flatware are used. They also place a rose on every table. So lovely and a great setting to start the day. Coffee is plentiful and of excellent quality.

The lighting in the small "cabin" separate from the main building, is very poor for reading in bed. Also, while the room has amenities (towels, etc.) and a bed size for two people, there is not nearly enough space for the luggage and clothing for two. I would also have very much preferred rectangular pillows to the huge square ones that are offered here. They are much too thick for a smaller person; I tried sleeping with and without a pillow and had neck pain upon awakening no matter which option I chose. We stayed over a week, a while the breakfast suited for a couple of days, after a few more days it gets really boring. There is also a lot of laminated print material (explaining the "rules") in the room which felt very Motel 6, that is, more like a very low-end hotel.

The front desk gentleman - so friendly! The rooms were amazing and so much larger than expected. Loved it!! I’m planning to come back next year and would recommend to anyone who wants to see the region.

Hotel location was perfect in the middle of Amboise and yet very quiet. Amboise Chateau, lovely town centre and restaurants and bars were at the doorstep of the hotel. The staff were very polite, attentive and kind.

There wasn’t any tea/coffee making facilities in the room. And the wifi was unsecure connection. I think it is generally common in France…

A great place for making the most of Loire Valley culture and scenery.

This is an elegant and peaceful place to stay. This was our second visit to this welcoming B&B. Parking is on site and it is only a short distance to walk to the centre of Amboise. Right on the River Loire, the small town is very attractive, with traditional French architecture, beautiful historical places to visit within easy walking distance, (the Chateau and Clos Luce), and many small restaurants and cafes also at easy walking distance. There are many more wonderful chateaus and places to explore if in a car.

This town is picture perfect, with beautiful architecture and welcoming people, there is nothing to dislike.

Centrally located within easy walking distance to nearby shops, restaurants and the castle of Amboise. Parking on site is available. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. A beautiful property whose staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. We would highly recommend.

I honestly can’t think of anything, other than to reach the bedrooms there are stairs, so it may not be most suitable from an accessibility point of view.

The location could not be beat. Right in the center of Amboise with private parking on site. Walking to restaurants, the Loire, and Chateau Royal d’Amboise within 5 minutes. The room was clean. Breakfast was good.

Room 16 was pretty bad. It was a windowless, with stale air that smelled like marijuana. With only a small vent in the bathroom and no way to open a window we suffered all night.

The Place to Stay in Amboise.

Super location. The hotel was right in town, a short walk from the castle and many dining options. Spent the day walking the town and seeing the sights, never needed our car. There was plenty of on property parking. Staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was extra and pricey. We found a fantastic bakery for breakfast a short walk away.

We tried the trip without a car but went back to Tours to rent one losing the advantage of the location.

Central location.

The cottage was small and pleasant no more. They didn’t change the glasses. There was no fridge or way to make tea or coffee. The lobby staff charged to make it and seemed to get my tea water from the hot water tap in the sink. The taxi arrived and was not one but a private driver who charged 20 euros as his minimum to go to the nearby rail station.

It was very very nice. It was 2 blocks from the center of town. Parking was on site and the property was locked at night.

Our Room was too dark. The light fixtures were Cute but gave off very little light.
