Confortable and pleasant but disappointed that the edge was taken off with the restaurant

The hotel was very confortable. The rooms were clean and light. The breakfast was very good. À good choice and replacement products continuously. The staff are friendly and it is in a very peaceful and beautiful location

I was disappointed with the restaurant. The first night it was excellent. Food very good and staff very helpful (with my 89 year old mum). Unfortunately the following two nights the food was not as good quality (apéritif went from home made cheese biscuits to peanuts to nothing) the food was cold the second night and needed to be taken back and the worst was that a group came in and my mum and I got requested to sit out by the entrance/bar/kitchen for the last two nights. Unfortunately my mum can’t do the stairs very well so the table at the ground level was the only place we could go. To be honest the group could have eaten where we were put and would have been amongst themselves and we would have benefitted from the atmosphère of the restaurant. Such a shame

The hotel was lovely good parking and clean. Nice terrace and good breakfast and restaurant was nice.

The pool was freezing but clean. The bar staff were never there and we always had to wait ages for food, the reception staff were lovely. The hotel is a long walk from town.

Great location for chateaux visiting, and easy to park just within the outskirts of town.

Dinner was surprisingly good, with friendly, prompt service. Novotel is a very family friendly firm, and children were nicely welcomed. Mini golf, basketball, and tennis, plus a pool, kept the kids busy. Good air conditioning, but also windows that open. Accessible showers.

Disappointing given it was a Novotel

The pool was warm . The staff were very polite. The bread and croissants tasted good.

There was broken glass on a tray near our door when we arrived, and some little bits on the corridor carpet. We asked for it to be cleared up and it was not cleared until the next day after we had asked twice more. The air con had very little effect in our bedroom or the dining room. The pool did not open until 9am, too late for a pre breakfast swim. The shower screen leaked. This did not seem a 4 star hotel and was poor value for money.

It is very green, the staff is very polite, the rooms are clean and large enough. We had a great time and will definitely come again and recommend it to everyone.

Nothing but just one comment: electric vehicle charging point is valid for certain brands only, it can be placed for other brands as well.

Moisture and bad smell

Good parking lot.

Not quite a 4* hotel. All the doors and furniture are old and worn out. A lot of moisture everywhere. Some strange insects inside the room. Bad smell in the bathroom, even if it was cleaned daily. Some lights in our room were broken. The sofa-bed was broken too and uncomfortable. I can't find something good in this hotel. Maybe the entertainment facilities saved the day, but when you come back to your room, you came back to the unpleasant reality...

Superb

Charming staff. Very comfortable room. Very good restaurant. Excellent stopping-off point when driving from SW France to Calais. It's the third Novotel in the region that we have tried (the others being Le mans and Orleans). They have all been of a good standard but this is the best in my view.

Fabulous stay. Aircon needs attention.

Staff were lovely and helpful. Breakfast was good and children ate free. The swimming pool and crazy golf made the kids happy.

The room was too hot as the air conditioning was not very good.
