A great personal experience with good location and owners. My family loved the place.

The location was good. Within walking distance to the town center and the chateau. The hotel was a converted 200 year house and was tastefully furnished. I am envious of the decor to be honest. In addition breakfast was good and the bed was exceptional. Finally the house cat was the darling of my family.

No lift but to be expected for a 200 year old building.

Perfect B&B in Amboise

We had an absolutely perfect stay at Maison POL Amboise. All the facilities were excellent - our room was a great size, clean and the bed extremely comfortable. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful - they spoke very good English, which was a bonus for us as we are from Australia. The B&B is in a great location, easy walking to the gorgeous centre of Amboise. It was nice sitting at breakfast and having an opportunity to talk with other travellers from around the world who were also staying.

Glad I stayed there.

It is in a quiet area, but so close to the center of the city, better stay at this side of the city. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Paul, the cat was so cute. I left early in the morning so Luis gave me breakfast to go. ☺️ One of the restaurants they listed I went is called restaurant l’llôt which was very good! I wanted to go there for a second night as well, but it was closed on Monday and Tuesday.

A friendly home from home in a beautiful setting with parking very close by.

This place is exceptional. We felt like our hosts were old friends rather than proprietors and we hope to visit again soon. The welcome was warm, the house historic but adapted for modern needs & the breakfast choices were excellent. (Including kettle & a teapot!)

Posizione eccellente per visitare Amboise e i suoi castelli, tutti raggiungibili a piedi in pochi minuti. Parcheggio gratuito davanti a casa in una zona centrale ma tranquilla e silenziosa. I proprietari sono gentilissimi e disponibili, ma il pezzo forte della casa è il gatto POL, simpaticissimo. Colazione ottima con prodotti freschi. Camera e bagno molto grandi e puliti. Letti comodissimi con materassi rigidi.

Se proprio devo suggerire qualche cosa, aggiungerei una piccola scrivania in camera, che può fare sempre comodo e una cassettiera

Séjour idéal pour visiter les châteaux d’Amboise

J’ai beaucoup apprécié mon séjour dans cette chambre d’hôtes. Le petit-déjeuner dans la véranda, copieux et avec une vue apaisante sur le jardin. Notre hôte était aux petits soins, ce qui a rendu notre escapade encore plus agréable. Les chambres étaient confortables et spacieuses, parfaites pour se reposer après une journée de visites. La situation géographique est idéale : nous avons pu garer notre véhicule sans souci et tout faire à pied, que ce soit pour dîner le soir ou pour visiter les châteaux d’Amboise, situés vraiment à deux pas du logement. Je recommande vivement cette adresse pour un séjour réussi en Touraine !

Beautiful old property close to all amenities

An 18th century typical old French style house that has been lovingly restored and decorated to make it feel like home as soon as you walk through the front door. Alfonso and Luis are two of the nicest, friendliest people you will ever meet, and will give you a very warm welcome to their house, which they are justifiably very proud of. They are always available to offer advice and are very knowledgeable about the town of Amboise and the surrounding area. Breakfast is served around a communal table in the conservatory and is a great way to get to know your fellow guests. The food is plentiful and amazingly fresh and it is a great start to the day. The star of the show is undoubtably Pol the cat, who is a small, ginger bundle of fur who will almost certainly come and introduce himself to you at some point during your stay. He likes a tickle under his chin but he is most happy just keeping you company and sitting by you, we loved him. I was unfortunately not very well before and during my stay so we did not get an opportunity to view what looks to be a beautiful little town, so it is a good excuse for us to visit again next year which we certainly will do.

Lo que más me gustó fue la decoración de la habitación y el cuidado en cada detalle. La ubicación del alojamiento es ideal. El trato fue cercano y cordial, y valoramos mucho que hablen español. El desayuno fue excelente. Todo fue perfecto y nos hicieron sentir muy cómodos.

我が家にいるようにくつろぐ事ができました。街の中心地にあるので、観光にとても便利でした。朝、可愛い猫ちゃんが、起こしに来てくれてお部屋の見回りまでしてくれました。猫ちゃんもスタッフの一員として、活躍していました。とても癒されました。朝食もとても美味しかったです。お庭の緑に囲まれて、他の宿泊者の方々と、楽しいおしゃべりもでき、幸せな時間を過ごす事ができました。荷物も預かってくださり、安心して観光することができました。
