Very close to town

Proximity to town was very good - took just a short car ride to town. Bathroom was nice and big. Breakfast was with cheeses, fresh fruit, breads, croissants. Garden was beautiful but weather made it so we couldn’t enjoy the outdoors.

Unfortunately, there were many issues. We arrived when it was rainy and chilly. Our room was cold and the radiator didn’t work. We were given a portable heater that took the chill off. No baggage stands for our suitcases, hard mattress, and little, flat pillows. The toilet was in an awkward place, and at night, it was difficult to get to without using our phones since it was quite dark. I took a shower first and I couldn’t get the drain to work properly. Hubby had to fix it. At breakfast, there was no sugar for coffee (there was subsequent days), coffee cup wasn’t clean first day, the omelettes were always overcooked and not hot, no yogurt our fifth and final day. The first three days, the internet worked perfectly. The last two days, we couldn’t get internet unless we went into the main area, which was outside and down two doors. Very frustrating and limiting.

It's a great location for visiting Amboise and the Loire area. The pool was nice.

The room felt cramped and we had information detailing a kitchen, which wasn't there! The towels were pretty rough and the room wasn't refreshed or made up for the second night! There were no spare toilet rolls and the breakfast everyone raved about was cooked frozen pastries!

Very welcoming host, and lovely garden. Good breakfast with at a time to suit us. Secure parking in the grounds of the property. Good location within walking distance of the chateau and town centre.

Absolutely terrific and just a shade away from utterly exceptional. Brilliant value for money.

Absolutely superb location in beautifully kept grounds. Facilities for smaller children and a swimming pool if required. Good room, excellent bathroom and an adjoining building with a kitchen and refrigerator for your use. Utterly charming and welcoming host with great advice on sights and events in Amboise to suit you. Secure parking on the property. Excellent breakfast.

The toilet is behind outward opening doors in a narrow vestibule and is a little tricky to negotiate particularly at night. Not a dislike really, just a minor irritation. I can see the difficulty in trying to change it though!

An extremely pleasant stay.

Josseline was a very hospitable and helpful host and we appreciated being able to sit in the garden and use the swimming pool. The breakfast, including fresh local fruit and home-made preserves was delicious. A good location for exploring the town of Amboise and nearby Chateaux.

Fabulous home away from home!

The room is beautifully updated and large with a gorgeous bathroom. The backyard is like a park with an above ground pool. Owner is very nice. Breakfast was good! For what you get it is one of the best deals out there! And it is walking distance to the center of town that is bustling with activity and tons of old France charm.

Cittadina bellissima con due splendidi castelli e un centro piacevolissimo.

Très agréable et reposant

La localisation proche du centre-ville tout en étant à l’écart, ce qui permet de profiter du calme. Le jardin est magnifique et très reposant, parfait pour se détendre. Le petit déjeuner était agréable et copieux. Enfin, le propriétaire est présent en cas de besoin, tout en restant discret.

Petit bémol : les pièces - sdb et chambre avec lit double sont assez petites, et la chambre principale manque un peu d’intimité car elle est située sur un passage
