Great place to stay, with really great hosts and an amazing breakfast

Catherine's homemade jams are truly a standout here, as is the rest of breakfast. She really goes above and beyond to make it special. She and her husband are both extremely kind, and it was a pleasure to stay with them. The room we stayed in was also perfect for our family of three.

It would be nice if the place had A/C, but it was comfortable enough.

It doesn’t get better than this Simply Perfect

Absolutely everything but mostly the surprise to find how excellent the room ( mini apartment really) was. Modern spotless spacious and a large comfy bed with hotel quality white linen beautiful. The hosts were warm friendly informative and professional at all times and couldn’t have done more for us. Breakfast included was superb. Fresh bread cakes and croissants along with Catherine’s home made jams. Also lovely private outside area to relax with a cuppa in the garden after a long day exploring. Hope to return sometime.

I enjoyed this property very much! The hosts were beyond wonderful and accommodate us in all our needs. The breakfast was above our expectations for healthy and quality food and the table was set with exquisite refinement. Perfect accomodations in Amboise, THE place to stay

Our accommodations consisted of a two room, mini-apartment with separate bedroom, living area with coffee maker, fridge, and micro. It is connected to the main home but had a separate, private entrance. The rooms were beautifully decorated and clean, very modern. There was a garden to sit and relax. The grounds and flowers were beautiful. Parking was included and very convenient. It is a short, pleasant walk to Amboise center, you could even see the chateau from our room. Catherine and Bruno were the warmest and kindest hosts we encountered during our trip. They made excellent restaurant and wine tasting recommendations and were happy to discuss the history and sights of the area. They were patient with us trying to speak French and communicated very well in English. Breakfast was taken in the main home. Each morning Catherine served us among other delights her home made yogurt, jams, and a special daily cake. Every detail was perfect. We could not have made a better choice and hope to return next year.

The only thing we did not like is that we only stayed for three nights. Looking back on our trip we wished we had stayed longer! There was so much more to see and do.

Lovely house and such a friendly, helpful welcome. Beautiful room with a lovely terrace. The breakfast was so elegantly presented and lovely homemade jams. The hostess had even especially made a delicious gluten free coconut cake for my husband and provided gluten free bread. Central location just a short walk into Amboise and private parking on site.

Catherine and Bruno were our hosts. They were fabulous; very friendly and greeted us immediately. They made sure we had everything we needed. Unfortunately due to time restraints (train in Rennes at 10:30) we had to leave early and could not sit down and enjoy conversation with Catherine and Bruno. They seemed like very wonderful people we would have enjoyed spending time with. They made sure to send us off with breakfast to go. We cannot thank them enough. We really appreciated their hospitality so much.

Would loved to have been able to check into room before 5. However, the ability to drop off luggage and explore was offered 😀

Lovely hosts and lovely setting!

This is a lovely place to stay in Amboise! It is run by a retired couple who are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable, and decorated nicely. It looks like everything has been recently remodeled so it felt fresh and clean. It was a short walk into the heart of the village and had everything we needed. We typically go to the grocery store to get food since there are 5 of us and we get tired of eating in restaurants each night. Our hosts were very helpful and brought us everything we needed to make a wonderful picnic in their pretty yard. The breakfast was a highlight, we loved all of the yummy fruit and pastries they served. I highly recommend this for your next stay in Amboise!

It is perfectly situated, a 5-minute stroll from the centre but in a calm residential area. Catherine and Bruno are wonderful hosts! They are friendly and welcoming and do everything possible to make your stay exceptional. The suite is spacious and tastefully decorated and has absolutely everything you need. The breakfast was amazing, with fresh home-made cakes and muffins (different ones every day!) We loved it and will definitely be coming back!

Our room was modern, large and clean with its own entry and patio. The hosts are very friendly and pleasant. The breakfast was delicious, with different homemade jams, cakes, fruits. Convenient, free parking. The location is excellent and just a short walk to the edge of the town. Recommended!

Favorite place to stay during our month-long trip

In 22 hotels over 30 nights in France, this was our favorite place to stay. Catherine and Bruno are excellent hosts and extremely personable. Our room (Lisa), is a relatively new add-on to the main house and is completely separate, with its own entry and patio. The room is in perfect condition, very modern, large, and spotlessly clean. We stayed two nights and the breakfasts were fantastic, with different homemade jams, cakes, etc., each day. The free parking is easy and a big plus. The location is excellent and just a short walk to the edge of the town. This was our fifth or sixth stay in Amboise over the years and we'll certainly stay here again if we visit in the future.

Amazing, charming, peaceful

Heaven's not only far up in the clouds, it has spread a little in some places, like here with Catherine and Bruno ! Wonderful guests in a charming house, great location aat about five minutes by feet to the historical centre and the amazing Loire, Catherine is a "cooking Queen" with delicious breakfast while Bruno has such knowledge... Impressive ! Count on them to receive you as if you were a king visiting his royal domain, and find peace and harmony in this green shrine. We'll talk about you, be sure !
