Great little hotel

Small but great hotel, right in the centre of Amboise with easy walking to the château, the Loire, bars, and restaurants. Our welcome was warm and friendly. The room was good and the bed was very comfortable. We didn't bother with breakfast as there is a tabac nearby for coffee and also a boulangerie. We parked in the street opposite the hotel, which is free between 18.30 and 09.00.

Great for an overnight or weekend stay, but a bit small for a longer stay. Not a criticism, merely an observation.

a great little holte, great value, comfort, breakfast

Great little hotel, walking distance to the castle and the river. Easy free parking from 7.30pm to 9am with one free hour, so until 10am, plenty of time to enjoy the great breakfast with superb little pastries. The Air Conditioning was great to have. Great value. Highly recommand this hotel.

3rd floor bedroom, no lift access. Room very small. View of greasy kitchen extraction fans, over the nearby roof tops, no view to river or old city, as stated in property description. No wardrobe, hanging rail only over desk. Shower opening very small, shower doors hanging loose. shower cubicle badly damaged in one corner.Definitely, not possible to achieve good cleaning & hygiene

Very clean, comfortable room, nice shower & bathroom, decent thick bath towels and a hand towel, comfortable bed and friendly English speaking guy on Reception. All the staff - and the dog - were very welcoming. Many thanks. We really enjoyed our stopover. The location is superb. Right in the heart of Amboise. There was a kettle in the room and a complimentary bottle of water.

There is no actual car park linked to the hotel.. There are two free ones a couple of hundred yards away but both were solid in March, so must be worse in summer. The unloading bay opposite was occupied permanently by a private car. The road is narrow and part of a one-way system. . Paid parking is easier, but a problem if you have heavy luggage to transport as you could be some distance away. Our room was small, as in the description. Most comfortable certainly, but hard to simultaneously open two full-sized cases for an overnight stop.

Hotel very convenient for town centre and river Loire. At least we had windows as I gather some rooms didn't!

Breakfast basic French bread and croissants. We were not told on arrival that private parking was chargeable. Room very basic and wall between next door bathroom was paper thin, Thankfully the bathroom separated us from their bedroom. Signed in to hotel wifi but unable to access internet!

Great location for exploring Amboise

Great location right in the center of Amboise, access to secure bike parking and an ok breakfast.

Our room was really warm and too loud with the window open but the a/c unit didn't seem to make much difference. Also the bathroom door when completely closed had big gaps on either side.

Great location, friendly staff, rooms need updating

Great location in the centre of Amboise, very close to the historic streets, the river & the castle. The member of staff was very friendly & helpful. The air con worked well. Good water pressure & temperature in the shower.

The decor of the room & en-suite bathroom was very tired. The tiles in the bathroom were cracked & there was a lot of mouldy sealant around the shower & the cracks in it. The furniture was rather battered & the pillows were uncomfortable (and only 1 pillow each). The breakfast was rather limited.

Would have preferred less stairs. Rooms small but adequate. Restaurant not good, left for almost an hour without an offer of a drink or a menu. No water or bread supplied. Couple on next table walked out after a long wait.

Adequate accommodation, evening receptionist was good as was the early morning one.

Good location, central & near the river and chateau. Room overlooked the restaurant courtyard with view toward the river.

The walls must have been very thin as we could clearly hear our neighbours in room and shower. Also the room only had a thin net curtain so we couldn’t shade from the early morning sun. So a curtain and/or blind should be installed.

The location, the personnel is super nice, the bedrooms are quite big.

We were finally in the annex of the hotel which closes at noon, so you should take this into account if you’re arriving between 13 and 16 (I think). The shower was not very hot.

Horrible. They ruined our experience.

To avoid! Try to avoid this place.

Went to the property the receptionist showed us the room. No fonic isolation, the room was outdated, tiny and super noisy, right on the street. We refused the room, THEY CHARGED US. We told them that it s impossible to have a good rest in such room, they just took the money and said plain and simple: u may leave or u may stay the money will be charged! Just like that! Creepy tiny room, 87 euro , noisy with outdated furniture and cheap bed. Nicely done you guys, i hope that my money for ur pathetic room will help ur life out :)

Location in centre, close to river Loire.

Check in only after 4 pm . Only 1 staff member. Room was facing the street, so busy with traffic. Breakfast was disorganized as only 1 staff member to do reception, check out & breakfast. Small serve of baguettes & had to ask for more. No yoghurt or fruit. A better option would be to allow guest to walk to the Logis nearby to get their breakfast. No bicycle parking on property.

Decent location. There was a fridge for use by residents which was handy to store items for picnic. There was a dedicated room for cyclists to store bikes and equipment. Not relevant to our current stay but could be useful in the future.

Not the same hotel as booked, but apparently we were upgraded. Bedroom was fairly cramped. The parking was public parking and some way from the hotel and lucky to find a place. If ‘free parking’ is advertised I expect this to be at the hotel.
