The staff were amazing. A special shout out to Louise at the front desk who went well above and beyond her duties to help us. The hotel was clean and comfortable. They assisted us in getting taxis to town, which are sometimes hard to come by. Overall an excellent stay and I highly recommend them.

Horrible stay!! Room didnt have a working A/c we had to change room in middle of the night but had the same issue there aswell. House keeping staff taking things from your room and when asked if they found or have something they said nothing we have in possession. This kind of behavior and service is not acceptable.

Very nice hotel with excellent facilities, pool etc. Great breakfast and good dinner menu. Our experience spoilt at dinner when the " Canette" ie duckling" arrived overdone, dry, and inedible, instead of pink and moist. Returned the dish untouched. At check-out found that the untouched, returned dish was still charged for, but with a 30% reduction. Complained, but manager defended the dish ,aggressively, saying that was how they always served the dish---badly in my opinion. Conclusion--will not eat at this hotel chain in future.

Very nice property in the outskirts of Amboise. You´ll need a car or taxi to get to the center, but we had a car, so it was very convenient, just 10´ away from city center. Nice, clean, big rooms, nice reception staff ready to help.

We stayed one night as part of a longer road trip. It was quite convenient for our needs, and the staff was friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet was okay but a little picked over by the time we ate at 7:30 am as there was a tour group or two staying at the hotel as well.

On arrival after 7 hours in the car, hugely disappointed to be told by reception (very cheerily) that the restaurant was fully booked and there was no room service. No food anywhere, even at the bar. Luckily I had a bag of crisps in the car which I managed to turn into dinner. Reception could have mentioned eg ubereats or some other options (and I should have asked). Staff at the bar were responsive despite being very overworked. Huge gash in the desk in the room, wasn’t expecting that! Room was ok although the a/c hardly functioned. They say they have a/c but I wouldn’t agree. Swimming pool nice but crowded and small. If I had realised how isolated this hotel is, I would have gone elsewhere.

For the last 2 nights I was at Novotel Amboise - and regretted choosing it. The restaurant was closed, my room faced directly onto the pool and the outdoor dining area, so no sleep before midnight. The bed was comfortable but that was about it. I had booked into the Orleans Novotel but they messaged me that they were under renovation - so the carpark, the bar, the swimming pool, the restaurant were all closed. Not sure what was left open, so moved to the other Novotel in Orleans South, miles from anywhere. A mistake - the rooms are small and dark, the place is full of noisy families - right now 4 children are using the corridor outside my room as a racetrack while the parents look on benignly and wont do anything about it. The restaurant was full of squalling children. I have cut my stay and am moving somewhere else. Avoid at all costs.

Great hotel with a lovely pool (which was why we chose this place due to the hot weather) and some basic facilities for the kids (crazy golf and a couple of run down tennis courts). Only drawback is we also chose this place as it has aircon but it didn’t really work. Rooms were still around 24 degrees with aircon on!

The hotel was pleasant enough, and the room was clean and a decent size. The view was disappointing, of the carpark, however the rear of the hotel had lovely views of the countryside, castles and hot air balloons. The reception staff were polite and helpful, however the barman was appalling! We went to the bar to order 2 bottles of beer. He was busy with another order, which was fine. However he did not acknowledge us for 5 minutes, when he finally did he spoke in very fast french so I have no idea what he said. Then we waited about 15 more minutes for him to finish the drinks order he was on and he asked us what we would like to drink. I ordered our drinks but then had to show him what I wanted on the menu as he seemed very unknowledgeable about the drinks the hotel was selling. Then he got one bottle out, then disappeared into the kitchen and got a bunch of mint out and starting cutting some lemons and limes (not for our drinks). Then he seemed to remember we were there and gave us one unopened beer and one glass, then asked us if we were drinking on the terrace or in the bar. We decided on the terrace, selecting the only table that wasn't piled high in empty dirty glasses. He then took another 10 minutes to bring out the beers. My partner then had to return my glass which was filthy. There was a lot of children running around so maybe this hotel is more suitable for families. The shower was a bit naff, but I was impressed with the complimentary bathroom toiletry set.
