OK Gravel driveway No weeds whasover, no dead vegetation no litter. Steps and entrance hall spotless as was reception area. Receptionist was so helpful even coping with my limited language skills( she indulged me as she spoke great English) Room was clinically clean and really could not find ANYTHING to contradict this. My wife has OCD and even she has said its cleanliness is on a different scale and she will happily return. Beds were firm and mattress seemed new. Well stocked toiletries and tea/coffee making facilities. We did not partake of breakfast but the cooked offering looked and smelled outstanding and I had a quick look and the cold buffet looks extremely extensive. Ideally placed at a 20 minute walk into the charming town of Amboise which has lots to offer in terms of views of the Loire river, Le Chateau and numerous hostelries. This hotel deserves a 5 star review It was perfect in every way. We may well return for our return stopover on the way back to Calais

This hotel is a great choice if you choose to drive to Amboise area because it has a gated private parking lot included without additional charge. It's close enough to the center of Amboise. The hotel is neat and clean but small. I would not recommend the room service here because all food they served are canned, premade food that are likely bought from grocery store with half the price of what they charge to you. I said this because we visited local supermarkets and found the same type of food with same type of container but with at least half of the price. Overall we are satisfied with our stay.
