Nothing, it was perfect

This is a wonderful location, with public available free parking. We walked to visit the Chateau, weekly market, dining and shopping. The room was beautiful and the breakfast was delicious. We spent three nights - and it was enchanting.

Quiet on-street parking in square outside property but plenty of spaces

Entering through their beautiful little garden, the owners couldn’t have been more warm & welcoming. They were so friendly & helpful. We had a comfortable night & delicious breakfast. This little B&B was a total delight. Thoroughly recommended.
Absolutely nothing to dislike!

Such a stylish place to stay within a beautiful historic town added to by the charm of our hosts, Madame and her son. The decor of the house is gorgeously 'French' in that traditional way but made unique by Madame's amazing taste in modern artworks. What a find! Breakfast was impeccably presented, household linens first rate, attention to detail in every regard. We went to 2 of the local restaurants recommended, both were fab, and of course the chateau is not to be missed. Loved it all.
It was all perfect.

The location and the owners and staff. They let us into our room early which was great. The owner is very hospitable and helpful.
Breakfast could have more variety.

Excellent quiet location but within 5 minutes walk of the centre of town.
The property is an amazing old typical French house filled with antique furniture. It was a bit like staying in a film set. However the private bathroom was very modern which was perfect.
We were greeted and looked after throughout our stay by a very nice man.
Perfect for a stay in Amboise

We loved staying in La Vigne. Madame was charming. The hotel is very small, only a couple of rooms I think, furnished impeccably with antiques, in a quiet but very central part of town within five minutes walk to many restaurants and the famous chateau. Madame went to a lot of trouble to lay out a wonderful breakfast in the dining room with a fine linen table cloth, best china, a range of croissants and bread, four variaties of jam, yoghurts etc. It was like stepping back into the C19th. Her son kindly made sure we had a parking space immediately in front of her gate. We would definitely return.

The breakfast was quick and filling and allowed us to reach our next destination on time.
The pillows could have been fluffier and the towels softer.

Excellent all around despite mix-up with rooms! Children made friends with the cat and all staff were helpful. The authentic and original surroundings such as books, paintings and mirrors combined with very comfortable beds, lovely bathroom and interconnected for our family of four made for a welcome and recharging stay. Location was also spot-on with all attractions close-by. Shout out to the Tourist Information office who helped us find emergency accommodation in Cherbourg when our Airbnb cancelled the night before our stay!!
The light in one of the rooms didn’t work.

Madame Stephanie was a delight. She welcomed us into her home which was full of antiques. The room was of average size with a comfortable double bed ( not an American queen sized). The bathroom had double sinks and appeared to have been recently renovated. Parking was in public free lots and was not a significant problem. Breakfasts consisted of fresh croissants, pain au chocolate, fruit , yogurt, local honeys and jams. There is a beautiful front garden and spacious back garden. She also has a very friendly cat. There is no central air although her son offered to install a room air conditioner which we did not need but might be required in the summer months.

An amazing house that was nothing like we have ever experienced. Fantastic french decor and wonderful atmosphere. Madame was a brilliant host and provided a magnificent breakfast (along with Catherine).

Excellent location to Centre, River walks, for eating and shopping, to drive to other locations.
The house was full of character, Madam was very welcoming, and made our stay even more enjoyable.
You were made to feel at home, and, in warmer weather there is a beautiful garden to relax on.
Nothing really.

Excellent breakfast with lots of choice. The welcome was nice and the room was secluded and would be perfect for a family. The beds are comfy and the bathroom was clean. I liked the general feel of the hotel, very friendly, like staying in someone’s home.
It was a bit too cold to start but had a heater so was fine. There was no parking and we couldn’t access the place as there was something happening in Amboise and this seems to happen a lot so check this out before you arrive.

The room we had was lovely but a little small. As long as you are aware it is fine.

Location is great. 2 min walk from centre. Breakfast is good. You can choose between French or English breakfast( they ask you when you arrive) madame Stephanie is lovely.
There is no parking. We got lucky to park close to the property, we were there in November. But I doubt you will find one in the summer, as this is so close to the center. Booking.com advertised this with free parking, but that is wrong.

The house was located just a few minutes walk from both the Chateaux with lots of restaurants around. The hostess Stephanie was very gracious and helpful. Everything in the house had a beautiful old world charm and the place was like a museum itself.
A few plug points for charging phones etc would help
