The room was comfortable - nice mattress, quiet building, nice fresh air in the room. The location is perfect - easy to find, yet a short walk into the centre of town.

The only negative is the size of the bathroom, but it is hardly a problem for a short stay.

Nothing really, AC was a bit poor, it was exceptionally hot, but the AC didn’t really do much, I slept with a wet towel on me. Other customers where also complaining about it. Mini bar had one small bottle of water in it.

Nice welcome, ice machine. 11 am checkout. Pleasant room

AC did not work. It turned on and even though we had it at the coolest temp setting, it was like a sauna. We had to open the window to sleep. Fortunately it was cooler than previous nights. Noisy in the am with the window open. Toilet also needed to be reseated.

Car park was large and secure

Room was meant to be superior double, was very small, bathroom tiny and needed updating, air conditioning was next to useless - effectively only circulated the air. The lift was also tiny, barely big enough for 2 + luggage

Love this hotel.

I really like to stay at this hotel. Parking is in the hotel grounds and the hotel is very quiet. A great breakfast is provided including scrambled eggs. Only a 20 minute pleasant walk into the centre.

The WiFi is dodgy and unreliable. You think you’re online but in fact find out later or the following morning you’re not. Having a kettle and coffee and tea making facilities is wonderful however in my room there was only one tiny packet of milk powder to be shared between two people and potentially 4 - 6 small cups of tea or coffee.

Comfortable base from which to explore the delights of the Loire

Friendly, efficient host, nice quiet room, comfortable bed, lovely big fluffy bath towels; pleasant breakfast room and very good breakfast with decent coffee and a variety of hot and cold breakfast options, including excellent fresh croissants and chocolatines.

Poor supply and selection of drinks in room; a few spills of instant coffee, only 3 teabags (none Earl Grey) and one spill of dried milk, and one small bottle of mineral water for two people, not replaced (because not empty?) for the second night. Stingy and inappropriate at this level of hospitality. Also didn’t like the fixed squeezy supply of universal washing liquid rather than shampoo, soap, shower gel etc in room. Again, inappropriate at this level of hospitality, and stingy. Finally, it took half-an-hour to walk from the hotel into the main Amboise shopping and restaurants area of the mediaeval town. We should have spotted this prior to booking. But the hotel IS well-places as a base for exploring the region by car, and convenient for the magnificent Chateau de Clis Luce.
