Nice apartment, a few steps from the center of Amboise. Very friendly host. Rich and varied sweet and savory breakfast. Spacious double bedroom and a lovely outdoor space in the private garden.
There is no air conditioning, so it gets very hot at night, and there were quite a few mosquitoes.

Our stay at Le Huis Clos was as good as we hoped. It's on a quiet street, about 10-12 minute walk to the Chateau, through streets with shops and cafes. The river is only a few minutes walk away. Our room was bright and spacious. There isn't air conditioning, but the fans provided were really good - particularly appreciated as it was pretty hot when we were in Amboise. It was nice being able to have breakfast by the patio doors. We had a code to let us in when we arrived. Erica was helpful with suggestions for places to eat and visit. Thank you too for getting some oats, as an alternative to granola!
We were able to rent bikes close by, and were a 5 minute walk from the stop for the bus to Chenonceaux. We look forward to staying again.
