Really comfortable apartment in a great location.

Really comfortable apartment - perfect for our weekend in Buxton. Great location, really close to amenities (pubs, cafes, restaurants and Sainsbury's Local (the coffee and Rasa, across the square, was excellent), and an easy walk to the rest of the town centre. The apartment itself had everything we needed for our stay, from sufficient cooking utensils to a big sofa. Lots of sensible stuff too, like hooks, places to store your bits of pieces and lighting options. Well recommended (providing you can cope with the stairs to the 4th floor, which really weren't that bad ... and the views made it worthwhile).

Not so much a negative, as a a word warning to manage expectations. The flat has electric heating, which (for obvious reasons) is turned off when the flat is not occupied. This meant it was quite chilly when we arrived, although it really didn't take long to warm up. After that, it was really cosey.

Central location but uncomfortable furniture

The property was very clean and great location as it's so central but was noisy at night particularly at closing time with the pub just across from the flat, and their outdoor seating. Also with people parking up and blaring music for hours on one of the two nights. Take earplugs!

We found the sofas and the bed to be very uncomfortable. You can feel all the springs in the mattress so we didn't sleep well, and couldn't sit and relax on the sofas. Also disappointed that there's a bath in the pictures but it can't be used which is not called out anywhere on the listing - you're warned about the steps but not that you're actually unable to run a bath because the water pressure is not good enough.

Convenient stay in the heart of the peaks

Excellently located and also incredibly useful having a permit parking option. We loved used the apartment as a base for Peak District hikes.

We didn’t dislike anything, it suited our needs.

The steps to access the apartment is too much, I have counted 63 steps. The entrance area needs some renovation and it smells.

Comfortable, relaxing and a great base to explore the area.

We appreciated having a proper kitchen and a washing machine, plus a separate sitting room. The shower was good and the bed comfortable. The climb up the stairs was worth it for the views! Appreciated having the parking permit.

Luckily we were forewarned about the access to the flat - it’s very unfortunate for the host that the horrible stair carpets are out of her control!

Short break away

The location of this property is the biggest selling point, the apartment was clean and comfortable with all the facilities we needed for our short break away. The host was quick to respond to our queries and offer solutions. Buxton itself is a very pretty town with lots to offer for all ages.

The communal area really let's this property down it could do with an update also there is temperamental lock on the front door into the building itself. Residents are smoking cannabis in the communal areas and the strong smell leaks into apartment 8. During our stay there were a few notes left by some of the residents who live there full time who clearly have taken a dis-liking to the air BNB and Booking.com guests!! Fully appreciate alot of the above is out of the owners control.

A comfortable, bijou apartment in an excellent location

Excellent location. Well equipped and spotlessly clean. Parking permit to enable parking right outside.

There are 63 steps to the apartment so it is not suitable for anybody with mobility issues and had we been aware of this we would not have booked because of bad knees! The shower was either scalding hot or cold - no in between Although the entrance, hallway and staircase are beyond the owners’ control, the condition of the carpets and decor give a poor impression

A lovely apartment right in the centre of Buxton. Jane the host has literally thought of everything so you can just take your clothes and enjoy your stay. The apartment is spotlessly clean and has some lovely views from it. We will definitely be back

Nothing I can really say I disliked about this apartment except maybe the noise from drunk people as its next door to a pub.

lovely stay in a town centre with the views

Apartment was very cosy and functional with an amazing views in great localisation in a town centre. Abundance of local food within a walking distance (we recommend Sushi Kaji - Japanese restaurant). Plenty of picturesque walking trails around. Car park permit was included. Jane is a very lovely host who takes interest in your stay and makes sure all is perfect. The quirky poster in the bathroom made me smile every single time! Also the fairy lights in the living room is a such a lovely idea!

All was perfect! Just a note, and it has nothing to do with the apartment itself, but if you are someone with a mobility issues, it might not be for you (the lift was out of order), so be prepared for a good walk up a few stairs. We didn’t mind whatsoever and even had few giggles on a way up :)

Location and cost great. Bed really comfortable. The views of countryside are stupendous from this high up, worth the walk up the stairs.

Stairs are challenging if anyone is mobility impaired but owners are really upfront about this! Worth it for the amazing view.
