The house is so cute, right in town but quiet.
Parking was a bit sketchy but they were very clear about that and fave us good advice

This was the perfect place for us to stay and experience the peak district for a few days. The weather wasn't on our side, but the house was warm and cosy. The location is perfect for exploring Buxton without the need to drive anywhere. The only confusion we had was around the parking situation but managed to find spots in the end! Easy and good communication throughout. Thank you very much

Brilliant location and a cosy home with good facilities

The location for this cottage was perfect, right in the centre of Buxton and I found parking very easily on the nearby roads.
The cottage was cosy and provided everything you needed for a 2 night stay, I would happily stay here again and the host Nell was very easy to get in touch with, highly recommend.
Nothing but as mentioned in other reviews, the stairs are a bit steep which is expected in this type of cottage but the step at the top of the stairs into the twin room can be precarious for children/elderly/mobility issues as it drops onto the stairs and you have to take a step up to get into the bathroom/double room. This isn't something that caused issues for us during our stay but worth mentioning as a stairgate at the top would be beneficial to those mentioned above :)

Everything was amazing, from communication will host to comfy bed just all of my stay was brilliant. Definitely coming again.
Nothing to dislike at all.

Property was situated in a great location a short walk from the centre , and also had plenty of shops , pubs etc just around the corner . House was a lovely period property with lovely old features kept in with modern decor . When we arrived there was a welcome pack of tea ,sugar ,coffee ,biscuits and milk which was a nice touch . A folder was supplied with all instructions to property along with brochures for local activities and takeaways .Property had everything we needed including washer /dryer . It was also very clean and we had cleaning products , towels , bedding and shower/hair products supplied ,so this enabled us to travel light with our 2 children . Property had WiFi . There was an airer ,iron and ironing board plus hairdryer supplied . Beds were all very comfortable , and plugs upstairs with USB ports were a plus . Property was easy to find also for us to have a grocery shop delivered on our arrival .
Property was in a location with a couple of businesses on the same street so parking outside wasn't possible and was also quite noisey with deliveries etc first thing in the morning .
There was a safety gate provided with the property at the bottom of the stairs but not at the top and the bedroom with the single beds was right at the top of the stairs with steps up to the bedroom and to the bathroom , this was quite dangerous for our children with our youngest only being 4 ,so we put out children into the front of the property ,where I knew they'd be safe from falling down the stairs in the middle of the night , it would maybe be an idea to move the single beds into the front for other families with small children . Also only 1 clothes hanging rail in the back bedroom .
Lounge area had a small sofa but only 2 quite uncomfortable chairs . A tv upstairs would have been ideal. Also small garden area had shared garden , luckily though the other property was unoccupied at the time . WiFi controlled heating was hard to fathom and would turn itself off and on without warning .
Fridge only had small freezer inside , but this was manageable as we were only staying Monday to Friday.

Clean, warm, comfortable and well-equipped. Very conveniently situated. Had everything we needed. We have stayed in the property previously, and would certainly use it again.

Right in the heart of Buxton so everything you would want is an easy walk away.
Stairs are very steep and could be an issue if you're older or younger than our family!

A very nice small house in a quiet location, everything needed for a short stay. Excellent check in and clever entry system. Close to the centre of Buxton.
Parking can be an issue and we had to pay for the local car park a couple of times when there were no spaces outside.

Fantastic Location, Lovely facilities and great hosts providing tea, coffee and milk for us as well as some biscuits. Shower and bathroom was fantastic!
Parking is a bit iffy but the car park isn't too expensive right near it.

We had a fantastic stay. The little house is lovely, with comfortable beds, a great shower, everything was clean and well maintained. The outside area was a suntrap! Only a ten minute stroll to the centre of Buxton. Great communication from the owner, very easy to get entry.
No complaints, if there was one minor point, it would have been good to have two hand towels instead of just the one.

Excellent location to all facilities. Property was very clean and had all the things required for a self catering break. Although we ate out.

Great location, easy walking distance to the town and sites etc. Parking easy at the end of the road, easy access to the property and good communication from the host.
Towels were rather grey and TV reception poor, - no analogue reception (very very poor) and even struggled to get consistent reception when logged in.

Everything was spot on, place was clean and the location quiet.
The only thing I can think off would be the parking, but that’s pushing it as there’s a public car park 50m away.

Excellent home from home which served our purpose really well. Exactly as described, very close to pubs and restaurants, but quick enough to get out to the Dales.

Super location ideal for two friends as it had two bedrooms.

The host was very helpful and accommodating providing clear and useful information via the booking messaging services. The little touches eg vegan milk and biscuits were much appreciated.
No real criticisms of the property. The bathroom extractor fan takes a long time to turn off but this a minor point.

Very comfortable, centrally located cottage. Loved the cosy fire and a great shower! Very pleasant living room and comfy beds.
It was very cold. Kitchen seems to have no insulation and the thermostat being set to 18… I would not call that ‘cosy’ as per the hosts message. It was freezing. Ok for sleeping, but not ok for being downstairs (thank goodness for the fire!)

Beautiful cottage in a quiet street very close to central Buxton. We were there while it was all snowy - very beautiful! The house was cosy - good heating and all very convenient. The host was really helpful and responsive when there was a power cut, which was reassuring that the fault was know about by the power company and wasn’t at our end.
Not a problem but just noting that the stairs are steep so it’s helpful to have someone strong available if you have heavy suitcases to take up to the bedrooms.

Good position, clean and comfortable.
Telly awkward to control.

Quiet, with quite comfortable furniture and an apparently well equipped kitchen; I say apparently only because I didn't have long enough to really test it. Nicely lush carpet. I thought the second bedroom was the room with the nicest "feel" in the house although in fact it wasn't the bedroom I used.
Entry was very easy, but maybe it's just me - I do prefer to meet the host,at least once.
The staircase, as well as being somewhat vertiginous, I am sure has steps that actually slope slightly downwards!

House very nice and clean. Within walking distance to the centre of town where there is a beautiful park and historic buildings. Very good restaurants near to the house and around the town.

It was very cosy, well equipped and the perfect location
The outdoor yard appeared to be shared with the property next door and was divided with plant pots. There was no seating on our half and could do with a tidy up. Shame as the weather was nice and we couldn’t use it

LOCATION: Perfect, we were on a hectic tour of the UK with a goal to climb Mam Tor. The walking was close and Buxton is great to explore. Great pubs are very close and we liked the food in the nearest pub so much we ate there both eveningsa.
STAFF: Nell was perfect, she is a great communicator and, in a classy move that I've never experienced before, let us know that we could extend our checkout before we'd even inquired.
This worked out very useful to us, one of our party became very ill, Vertigo (it's not nice!). We had to seek medfical help and ended up in Macclesfield hospital. Nell was attentive and generous throughout, the helpful support we needed.
Thankyou NELL :)
I will stay here again if I can find a way to do more Peak District walks.
PERFECT :)

Really lovely accommodation.
Transport around the Peak District is perfect.
And there is also a direct bus to the airport.
Beautiful tourist destinations and nature surrounding the town.
Everything was alright :), just tight schedule - there was not enough time to visit every bit of the Peak District...we surely have to return someday!

Perfect location very close to the town and other amenities. The house itself was very clean and one of the best equipped houses we've stayed in (it even had a slow cooker!). We loved our stay. There was no parking outside but there are a few free spaces further down the street and a couple of others nearby the owner was very helpful in explaining where to park for free.
Nothing it was all brilliant.

Cosy, comfortable accommodation and everything we needed was provided. Appreciated the toiletries, tea, coffee, biscuits, washing up liquid etc. Very clean. Excellent location for walking into Buxton.
We liked it all. The only improvement we could think of is a coat stand or hooks near the door!

Location convenient for us, 10 minutes stroll from the Opera House & Festival venues. Ample space for the 2 of us. Super shower. Very quiet overnight, we felt very safe.
Stairs a trifle steep but no real problem even to us oldies.

Perfect little cottage decorated and furnished with excellent taste. Beds were so comfy as usually miss my own bed at home but not here
The stairs were very steep which were difficult for my elderly mother. The twin room was the first to the right at the top of the stairs but I wouldn’t want to have children in there for fear of falling down the stairs Parking was a bit of a pain as you only get 40 mins outside the property - that is if there’s space, but you expect this with properties that are in the town centre
8.0 / 10.0
Location was great, property clean and comfortable. The shower was great, I wish mine at home was as good.
Parking could be an issue, can only park outside the property for 40 minutes between 9am and 5pm. There is free parking just across the road but we only once found a space, however the pay and display is a very short walk away.
We found the TV reception a problem and it would have been nice to have some instructions on how to find freeview, we tried for ages and still don't know how we got there. There was nowhere to hang clothes in the double bedroom and no mirror in the twin room and only one towel each, we had to share the hand towel in the bathroom, only one tea towel and no hand towel in the kitchen.
