Parking map was a little unclear.

Very comfortable double bed. Kitchen was adequate and had a good selection of knives to prepare food when we cooked. Good sized rooms.
The amount of stairs wasn’t good for me, but I do have to walk carefully. The metal rail leading up to the front door was loose, which worried me a little. The heating is awkward to adjust, as it didn’t come on in the mornings when we wanted to get up, but the rooms were not freezing, which helped.

Location is very good
Not clean, loads of dust, carpets and walls are in bad condition and dirty. Just a bit of work and paint, it can be really nice and cosy. Kitchen was not clean, oily.

The location was perfect; very central and easy to walk around the centre of Buxton. Car parking was good - a permit for the council car park adjacent to the property. The host responded quickly to my queries. The flat was very spacious. The flat was clean.
Although clean, the flat was quite shoddy. There were scuff marks on the walls, the entrance was very shabby, the furnishings looked like they'd been put together piecemeal with bits from a charity shop. There was an old single mattress up against the wall in the main bedroom. The quilt on the bed was very thin and not warm enough. The bathroom towels were old, thin and rough feeling. The kitchen was very small and only had a mini table top fridge. on top on which we found an empty cold meat plastic package. There was tea and coffee, but no sugar. China, glass and cutlery were all mismatched, again suggesting that they were bits picked up from a charity shop.

Great location - to the side of the Town Hall. I would suggest parking BEHIND the Town Hall, which is closest to the property. There is a parking disc in the flat, but it doesn't last all day, otherwise it's something like £6 a day.
Come prepare for a lot of stairs - both to get in the flat and inside the flat itself. The flat is on two floors, with a double bedroom on the top. I feel the flat could do with a little TLC and a few improvements which I will suggest to the owner.

Access to the town is amazing. Everything is in short walking distance and easy to get to.
Fairly clean and tidy with comfortable beds great TV and internet. Toiletries are always a bonus.
The Shower head needs replacing and the upstairs bedroom could do with a deep clean to blow away some of the dust and cobwebs. Kitchen cupboards were not left in a clean state with odd bits and bobs knocking around like opened/used spices and ingredients that look a bit suspect. And a tin of paint.

A perfect location for what we needed heading up to the Lake District. Good communication from the owner about location and keys

Easy access to property around the back, the steps not a problem for us. Great location a couple of minutes walk from town centre and all amenities. Large car parks a few seconds walk from the flat and the Town Hall is the only place in Buxton where you can buy a 3 or 7 day parking permit (open Mon-Fri only).
The flat has all necessary basics.
Residents of adjoining flats were quiet which was nice, as we like a quiet life too!
Most important thing was that beds were comfortable and we slept very well.
Decor a bit tired but not a problem but some of the fixtures and fittings need updating, especially in the bathroom.
Kettle and toaster dirty, did not use trays or pans as they are scratched and worn so I used disposable foil trays. The grill pan was in the bottom of the oven, used by a previous resident and not washed so I refused to touch it.
No wardrobes and only a few hooks and hangers provided.

Location was wonderful. Right in the middle of town and close to the slopes and the opera.
Fridge was far too small. Too many steps about which we were not warned. Stairs and floor very creaky, noisy.

Great location and WiFi. Very good value for money.
Very tired with poor decor. Communal hallway filthy. Not sure if full double bed more like queen size. No bath mat, only one towel each. Tiny fridge in kitchen cannot get very much in.

Great central location. Shops, cafes and town centre within easy walking distance. The free parking was excellent, safe and close to the accommodation. Large, well laid out and comfortable lounge and well equipped separate kitchen.
Not so much a “dislike” as a minor inconvenience- the only bathroom/toilet is on the first floor) and the main bedroom (double bed) is on the second floor.

Lovely large airy apartment, good sized accommodation with all you need for a short trip away. Milk provided for the essential first cuppa, and everything else is at your fingertips. Buxton is brilliant for shopping and entertainment. We will be back again
Inevitable in these old properties, stairs plentiful and steep, not difficult and handrails are provided, just be prepared for the many steps outside and within the apartment.

The location was fantastic
it was cold at times due to the timer on the heating so it was cold at the wrong time

Good size and location at an excellent price, functional space with pretty much everything you need for your stay. A no-frills basic apartment that serves it purpose. Easy parking and had no problems checking in.
Could be cleaner (used sanitory towel left in bathroom bin bag, some pots & pans still greasy, oven cleaner residue made food taste bad during cooking) but overall fine.
Parking permit missing and not contacted back about it.

great location right in town
the flat just feels dingy - old and uncared for, peeling paint and things that don’t work properly. tiny mini fridge, not very useful if you were using it to cook for a family.

Location is excellent.
Door key is not working properly. Steepness of the stairs too and inside. Stained carpets and bedding. No fire extinguisher. House of multiple occupancy? Registered? No wardrobes. Campervan fridge. No heating. Got the heating on twice for about 15min's. Dusty(Very). All of the comments I have made, Have all been made previously over the last four years and have not been remedied. The bathroom is particularly bad. Grouting around the bath and the toilet is very poor. It's a shame because it could be such a nice place. Location is great, The property is grotty.

The flat was well equipped and in an ideal location. Lots of space and creative decor.
There was a steep flight of steps up to the outer door, OK for us but anyone with mobility issues might struggle. Lots more stairs inside. The bell tower on the Town Hall chimes every half hour. Can be disturbing at night.

The flat is located very close to the centre of Buxton, and is quite spacious and nicely decorated, and flowers were a pleasing touch. It was also quiet (though the town hall clock striking every half hour necessitated ear plugs!) The beds were comfortable, with pleasant bed linen, and the bathroom fitted with a bath and decent shower, and some nice toiletries. The provision of a car parking voucher so that the town hall car park (only 100 yards or so away) could be used was much appreciated.
There were some issues.
There are no wardrobes, so for a six day stay, we had to hang our clothes on hooks in a beam in the middle of the attic bedroom. The velux windows in the roof of bedroom have roller blinds, but these are in poor condition and very difficult to keep closed, so that summer light comes through very early. Even when we managed to keep the blinds down, there is a skylight over the staircase that has no blind, so always lets in the light.
There is only one hook in the bathroom (by the sink) and no towel rail. Towels had to be draped wherever possible, and never really dried, so after six days had become rather odorous, as there are no facilities for washing them, and only one per person per stay. There is also no shelf in the bathroom for toiletries, so the one hook was used to hang a toilet bag, and toothbrushes and paste and other items just balanced on the edge of the basin or bath.
The kitchen has a very small (table top) fridge. This has a small freezer compartment, the door of which had been removed (broken? We found it but the hinge was damaged, and irreparable. We put it into a drawer). On our arrival, we found the freezer heavily iced up, and the fridge making a (quite loud) bubbling sound, so we worried that it might be overworking, and the fridge might overheat. We turned it down (not off!) and the freezer defrosted. We turned it up, but the bubbling continued, and the freezer compartment was quickly over-iced. There seems to be no happy medium. There appears to be no happy medium - either the fridge defrosts or ice builds up rapidly.
Apart from a bread knife, there are no kitchen knives. The dining cutlery is plentiful, but not suitable for food preparation.
The overall level of cleanliness could have been higher. Whilst not dirty, there was quite a lot of dust on skirting boards and ledges, and we found a frying pan caked in baked on grease, which was unusable.
