Ardeevin Cottage

The cottage had high quality comfortable furniture and was decorated nicely with pictures of the local area. Also stocked with games etc for rainy days and helpful leaflets from nearby tourist spots. Great kitchen with everything we needed. Great location for being able to eat and drink out, just a ten minute walk to lower Buxton which has great bars and restaurants and gorgeous parks and architecture. Also makes a great centre for scenic market towns and a range of great walks and days out. Perfect for families and ramblers!

Although being on the back of the high street was very convenient, it meant at night there was quite a bit of noise from traffic, particularly boy racers with loud exhausts, and the occasional shout/ loud voices from late night revellers. If you're a light sleeper you may want to bring earplugs.

Convenient for both walking into town and local facilities, also easy to travel further afield

Not always easy to park due to inconsiderate drivers

Perfect location for exploring Buxton on foot. The cottage was cosy, warm and perfect for a winter escape.

The only thing missing was a washing machine.

All was lovely, Golden girls 🤣, in our 70s amazing break.

Just worried a little about car as large car and worried too tight for some people to pass. But all was fine
