2-Bed Cottage in Buxton

The cottage is in a very handy location to town centre, local bars, restaurants and other amenities. Parking is good and free. Check in was easy. The cottage was an ideal size for us and had was clean and well equipped.

A drying rack would have been handy. We’d had a wet walk and struggled to find somewhere to dry clothes.

Gorgeous cottage great amenities

Really beautiful place and well located in the town, short walk to the crescent and Pavilion Gardens. Well stocked with wasing up liquid, toilet rolls and tea bags. Comfy sofas too! Outdoor area lovely to sit and eat in. Hosts replied quickly with information for finding keys/wifi etc.

Not the cleanest, big hairball sticking out behind dresser in main bedroom. Blind in top bedroom not great at blocking out light (even when using the suggested hook on the wall). Shower doesn't have a door so it's hard to keep the bathroom dry whilst showering. Had to bring up the mop bucket from the kitchen.

The host provided pre practical information related to the property and parking which was very helpful. The location was very central too ,with lots of local amenities, options for activities, walks without having to drive anywhere. The check in was straight forward and easy with the lockbox. It was a quiet and relaxing place to stay.

It was very cold on the first night ,whilst the top floor was very warm and cosy with the provided oil filled radiator, the first floor bedroom and bathroom were particularly cold as was the living area. I think some type of central heating would have really helped given it is still cold during late winter, early spring. I think if we had booked earlier in the winter it would have been even colder! The parking too was quite difficult, especially with one of us having a big car. On the first night I had to park further away.
