Peak District Cottage Sleeps 6, Parking and Projectors in all the Rooms

Spacious property

The property is well-located in a quiet residential street on the outskirts of Buxton, close by to the train station and a major supermarket. There is ample free-of-charge on-street parking and I had no problem parking either directly outside or close by the house. There is a huge amount of living space in the house, with a good sized lounge (2 x 3 seater sofa) and a large open plan kitchen/dining room on the ground floor, and the three bedrooms and family bathroom (with a good bath/shower) spread over the 1st and second floors. All bedrooms are roomy and come with adequate storage. We visited in the height of summer and the house was a comfortable temperature if the windows were opened to create a through-draft. We barely needed to use the kitchen, but it was fully equipped should you wish to make meals and the large dining table would be perfect for group dining. The property felt secure and safe and is full of character. We felt very much at home here and were grateful for the hospitality of our hosts, and the excellent value for money price.

This is of course subjective, but the bed mattresses could have been more comfortable.

Great communication and easy access to key codes

Good location, comfortable and clean. On-street parking ok, but on a very narrow and hilly street so competing with local residents for parking space, which isn't ideal for them. Liked the Netflix subscription, not sure how good or useful the projectors in each room are. Plenty of nice and clean towels provided. Overall, a good base to explore Buxton and the peaks. would use again.

Lacking a garden. Spare bedding not used for a while so had a bonus collection of dead flies in them :(
