Great location, very clean and comfortable stay.

The property was excellently appointed for a large group with great catering facilities and seating/dining space (there were 10 of us which didn’t feel at all crowded). Bedrooms were all lovely and beds very comfortable.

There wasn’t much loo roll provided so we had to buy some and the communal bathroom facilities were limited (just one, with the others being en suite). Kids running upstairs (bedrooms are downstairs!) early in the morning was quite loud overhead for those still in bed!

Location very good, close to Buxton and Harpur Hill, where there were pubs, restaurants, supermarkets etc. Site itself was a working farm, some limited access to see animals etc for the children. Rooms were tidy, bathrooms too. One bedroom had no windows which was a bit bleak for those occupants. Some outdoor seating/picnic tables. Main living/dining/kitchen area was comfortable and had eveything required for a family gathering. Plenty of parking. Friendly hosts.

There was no soundproofing between the floors, so if some people wanted to get up late or retire early, there was a lot of noise from the living area above - especially when children are involved! Not recommended for light sleepers...

The space was excellent, loads of seating. Kitchen was well equipped. Close to both Buxton and Bakewell. Whilst we didn't use the snug, I can see it being put to good use if you have children.

No lock on family bathroom. Recommended dish washer program don't clean the crockery.
