Spring View Apartment

A central location meant nothing was far to walk to. The apartment is spacious and the bed very comfortable. For those staying longer than three nights, there is a washing machine and clothes airer. For those not wishing to make breakfast, there is a cafe right outside the front door and the pedestrian area is just round the corner, offering several eating and shopping options.

The front door was warped which meant some force was required to open it. There is a pedestrian traffic crossing immediately outside which beeps every 30 seconds or so and as the apartment is on a bus route, there is a lot of traffic noise. The kitchen is very small (as is the WC) in comparison to the other rooms, which for one person was not an issue but might be for two in the kitchen. It is well equipped with appliances though.

Ideal location for where we needed to be. Had everything you needed in a studio setting.

Needed to find long term parking a few streets away. A visitor permit for the stay would have been a nice touch.

Central location was great but also not so great when considering the house from the busy main road and pedestrian crossing right below the flat’s windows.

The living space windows were directly above a set of traffic lights and a pedestrian crossing on a busy road. There was constant bleeping noises from whenever the crossing was used which turned out to be frequently!

The apartment is very spacious, with the exception of the kitchen. It is in a beautiful old building with very high ceilings and is fairly well equipped. The location is perfect for being in the centre of town.

The apartment decor is tired and needs refurbishing, but the owners advised us of that on arrival and they intend to do so. It will be fabulous when this is done. The main issue was with building works going on in the same building, constant noise from 9am until 6pm. The owners said this is outside their control but it did spoil our stay as we couldn't go back to the apartment to relax in the daytime. Once these works are completed it should be more peaceful and a great location for a Buxton town centre break.
