Beautiful cottage in a great area close to all amenities
We loved this cottage, it had everything you needed, so clean everywhere and the bed was the comfiest I have ever slept in! Great tv with all channels and cosy little settee. The cottage was in a prime location, few minutes walk away from supermarkets and bars/restaurants. We couldn’t get a parking space on the road but there was the Market Street carpark just few minutes walk away, which cost just £10 for 3 days.
Everything was perfect

I’ve read a few reviews and they were how I felt about 6 minutes walk into the middle of Buxton the house was ideal for
Great location and a lovely little place
Nothing I can say it was just what we wanted

Mixed feelings
A perfectly sized cottage incredibly handy for the market square - and the buses. Pleasant decor, and a really lovely little living room.
Unfortunately there were a string of minor issues - the worst being a leaky pipe in the bathroom. We had to turn off an isolator valve to stop it causing major issues. There was also a missing bin which we had to ask about and the cooker and fridge were both a bit fiddly to get to the right temperature. Our host was reassuring, but on balance I think it might have been better to arrange a plumber.

Dreadful and regretable experience, booking.com have been supportive throughout.
Multiple requests for a refund have been made with refusal every time. Booking.com initially stated that they would refund the property and are now stating that they will not refund and stated that if I wished to pursue further then to have my lawyer contact them. I advised them I would file through the small claims court. Be careful as booking.com are not a UK Company and that complicates any claim you may attempt to make against them. Sadly given their diabolical attitude on a call today with a senior manager I will no longer be using their services sad as I have used their services for many years with no complaint. The property was used for one evening and therefore lost 6 nights accommodation. So it is important to remember that if a host "kicks" you out there is no immediate recourse nor non after the event, I was advised there is no "adjudication, so if the host kicks you out then it is their word against yours and there is nothing that can be done" no recourse through booking.com. I will book wisely in the future and not use booking.com Regrettably, the code we were informed of in advance of our stay was not provided. Despite our request for early access, it was not approved, and we were advised of a 15:00 arrival time. However, access to the property was eventually granted, albeit with a considerable delay of approximately four hours. Our host, Tiffany, communicated via text message instead of utilizing the Booking.com portal, citing its unreliability. Unfortunately, the text message was not received before our arrival. We made several attempts to access the property, including calling and emailing Tiffany, but received no response as she was at work. It was only after 2 calls with Booking.com and Booking.com offering alternative accommodation that access was gained. This is not acceptable. When renting a property, it is crucial to ensure that guests can promptly access the accommodation and that all arrangements are properly settled.
Our stay was abruptly cut short after just one night. To our surprise, Tiffany accused us of having 12 individuals on the property who were smoking marijuana, which was absolutely untrue. On a particular Monday, while we had been out in Buxton during the day, we returned to find a group of 5 people in the front garden of the property, engaging in the use of marijuana. In response, we chose not to confront them and continued past the property. We patiently waited until these individuals had vacated the premises before attempting to re-enter the property. Subsequently, Tiffany contacted my father and insisted that we to be removed from the property due to the false accusation of marijuana use. It's important to note that this accusation pertained to 2 individuals who were under the age of 18 male and one female adult. As a result, we were forced to vacate the property at 20:30 with what only can be described as bully-boy tactics with 3 large male adults and Tiffany and 2 females being in attendance, with no alternative accommodation arranged, and only a vague suggestion that we might find lodging at a local hotel, despite my father's prior unsuccessful attempts to secure a booking and also his request to Tiffany to wait until the morning, giving more time to find accomodation. Booking.com continues to work with us to find redress and has been unwavering in their attempts to resolve this issue.

Not a bad location for our trip.
Near to shops, quiet neighbourhood
No hairdryer. Not had a truly deep clean for a while No ordinary cotton tea towels Minimal crockery, with no small bowls Would like some feedback about a small blue stoned earring I lost at the property

The bed was far too small for us.The seating in the lounge could do with improving.
